The Village Juicery has been my favourite source of cold pressed juices for many years, and has several locations across the city. The Bloor West location is located by the corner or Runnymede Rd and Bloor St, in the heart of Bloor West Village. The shop is narrow with a small seating area at the front by the windows.  I visited this location recently to try their Strawberry Glow Smoothie. The smoothie itself was delicious, and is currently my new favourite smoothie, although I do find it a little expensive when you compare the price to the size. The staff at this location was nice, though a little slow... It took a while for me to get my drink (5 to 10 mins) even though I was the only one in the store at that time... Their juice prices is slightly higher than regular juices, but each bottle is full of flavour and healthy ingredients, and there's a large selection of flavors to choose from. The "Be Active" is my regular go to flavour but I've enjoyed many of the other flavours as well. They also serve other healthy items like smoothies, coffee, tea, salad bowls, breakfast jars, soups, wraps, and orangic baked goods like brownies and cookies. One thing that stands out with the Village Juicery is that they make an effort to minimize waste through the use of glass containers and their recycling program. The recycling program encourages customers to return the glass containers for a tiny refund that they can save within their account if you have the app and use towards future purchases. read more

This clean eating cleanse is a good start for a day! Sometimes I have to on a diet, this is perfect for filling up me and giving me enough nutrition. They also provide the cleanse guide to follow which one should I have first. I like all of them because they are organic and taste really good! read more

Service was terrible at Bloor West location. Women was outside talking to a friend and let me stand inside waiting even though she was the only one working. When I asked if there was anyone else working, she replied with "no, it is just me". And then took her time coming in to cash me out. The juice is great though. Owner needs to hire kind, welcoming staff otherwise the location will not last. read more

I LOVE Village Juicery Since day 1! Now I love them even more, because I went in last week and I called ahead since I have a mask exemption. Just wanted to ensure there would be no issues. I was told not only would there not be a problem, but that some of their staff had exemptions as well and are not able to wear masks. I am so thankful to know of a place that does this for their workers. What people don't seem to realize is that EXEMPTIONS ARE PART OF THE BYLAW. So for everyone who is up in arms about maskless staff, cool your horses. If you want everyone to follow the bylaw, know that exemptions are part of it! Know that the staff are responsible enough to never come in if they are not feeling well. Also know, that if YOUR mask works, what's the issue? Why feel unsafe? My $14 smoothie would have tasted a hell of a lot better if the customer service hadn't left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Today was my third and last visit to this location. Not sure why the service is so bad. In all three visits I've NEVER received a hello when I walked in. The first 2 times staff were chatting amongst themselves. Today the girl behind the counter was with a customer. I wanted to purchase a salad for lunch. I picked up the salad and wanted to pay. The girl behind the counter continued chatting with the customer. No acknowledgement I''m standing there waiting to pay. After waiting for a bit, I put down the salad and left. I hope the owners are reading this review. Don't get me wrong, the product is great! Super tasty cold-pressed organic juices, and healthy snacks to boot! Food/drink = 5 stars. Where the 2 stars are omitted is due to the lacklustre service. Every time I've walked into this location, it's as if the young woman at the counter is doing me a favour by serving me. Service is quite standoffish and somewhat pretentious, when it should be friendly, more personable and eager to share information about the great products this chain serves. I do not know why i keep going in here - well yes i do i love their juice, but i am tired of the horrid service and attitude - its consistent! today i was "greeted " (I use that term loosely) by an unsmiling, unhelpful woman that obviously wanted to continue her conversation with her friend rather than help me. i tried to be friendly, make chit chat - she ignored me. I keep coming back here because I love the products and I work in the area but THE STAFF AT THIS LOCATION ARE GARBAGE-PEOPLE. Sorry, not sorry. I hate to leave a bad review but I've been coming here since they opened and the attitude behind the counter is not getting any better. The woman working today was actually new (to me, I have never crossed paths with her) and she was flat out rude from the moment I walked in. It got extremely impertinent when she berated me for not cleaning ONE of my small bottles out of the 7 I was returning. YES, I know, they have to be cleaned! I've spent hundreds of dollars at your establishment, you can let it slide this one time. Even a friendly reminder for next time. I apologized and offered to take the bottle back. That's when I was returned with huff's, puff's and dirty looks and short-passive aggressive remarks . You'd think a place that claims community and positive living would have some courteous a cool people behind the counter. This woman needs to take the stick out of her ass. The juice from Village Juicery is good! I bought the Apple, Orange, and their turmeric shot. The reason for only 3 stars is due to the customer service. A simple "can I help you find a juice" would have suffice, but instead it was awkwardly quiet in that store. Did not seem inviting. Probably won't be back to this juicery. read more

While the juices are good from here I think it is better to buy online. The store is not efficient and staff are not customer focussed. In the past two days I have purchased from here twice. Sat it took significant time to get one of two staff members attention. I thought perhaps it was a fluke and then today the purchase of one bottle took 15 mins. Thinking store sustainability will be an issue without improved customer focus. read more

I think the owner took past feedbacks serioudly and took action. This is the first time I visited this store. The minute I walked in, the staff who was with another customer, greeted me right away. She was really helpful making recommendations on what will help with my cold. After one drink/shot, I think I'm feeling better already. Super friendly service! read more

Really amazing product: organic, cold-pressed juices, hot nutritional drinks, kombucha, medicinal tonics, salads, breakfast jars, snacks- all nutritionally-dense. Also priced reasonably for the nutritional value you get- especially when you account for their bottle-return credits and loyalty points that accumulate with each purchase. This is a great community spot- clean, simple, natural ambiance with great energy. Good place to come solo and chill out or get some work done- have a meeting, or great coffee-date alternative spot. I see what other reviewers are saying about the service- but I've been coming here regularly for over a year- and have gotten to know each server. They all have their own personality- but each and every one of them is either a nutrition student or nutritionist- and knowledgeable and passionate about health and nutrition. On many occasions they have been very generous consulting with me, and sharing info relevant to my health needs in addition to helping me select the right products to support those needs- which has been super valuable. Because there is only one server working at any given time, sometimes there is a little bit of a wait before you are attended to- but I've learned to be flexible about that. It's not a fast food spot- I don't expect service like Tim Hortons or Starbucks. They are a local, community based, nutritionist-staffed health bar. And if you are interested in health there are tons of interesting products to explore while you wait. Don't think I've ever had to wait more than 3-5 minutes though. Usually I'm attended to more or less right away. Have taken time to chat with many of the servers- both the ones that are more bubbly and open- and some who are more stand-offish. They all seem like really solid, caring people. Another cool thing about this place is that they are virtually waste-free! Most of their packaging is either compostable or re-usable- I really respect these efforts as the food service industry produces a ridiculous amount of waste- its great to see a business making positive changes in this department. Overall- this is a health-conscious business with integrity. Its an awesome, good energy venue for hanging out/working/meeting. The nutritional value and quality of ingredients you get in their products is the best I've seen in a juice bar in this city. The staff are nutritionists who really care! I try and visit each week, during my long walk. This VJ is my halfway point so I need to stop for a refreshing drink. Today was such a day, especially given how hot it was. Christine was on the bar and welcomed me with a smile. I had my newly installed RBC mobile tap and go app ... but could not get it to work - Ugh!. Tried everything. Embarrassing, because it worked during my last two visits. No probs says Christine. She checked me in as a "loyalty club" visit. Just call me when your home and I will process your Visa #. Tip of the hat to Christine for "doing the right thing" - made me feel like a Guest! I enjoyed my Focus Tonic and yummy cookie and walked on home ...thanks Christine. read more

This is probably my favourite juice I've ever tried! Lots of cool stuff here too, like a bar with kombucha on tap. The girl working was a nutritionist and was very knowledgeable. Fun spot, will be back soon! read more

My favourite juice is the Be Radiant. But it was fun sampling the different kombuchas they have on tap during my last visit. I will probably stick to the cold-press juice, but it was nice that I was encouraged to try something new. read more
