Booked a place here for a week. Pretty chill place kind of near many of the local attractions. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived early after a long flight to get here. They allowed us to check in at around 10am even though check in was around 4pm. Place is right on the beach. They have basic food service onsite too. Pretty good food too! Neighborhood seems fairly safe, felt safe and not worried at all. They have a pool too but it was down the whole week we were there. (Something to do with a pump) That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars.Otherwise i would have given it a 5. I have a 3 year old and the pool is one of the reasons we picked this place. They also have wifi but it's pretty choppy. read more

So we just spent 10 days at Villas de Rosa condos- the location is stunning, BUT THERE IS ONLY AIR CONDITIONING IN THE BEDROOM! Needless to say, the heat and humidity in July is stifling and uncomfortable, and I never would have booked accommodations that would not have air conditioning throughout the entire condo. This needs to be honestly communicated and transparent to future guests, and stated explicitly in terms of amenities. The 3 stars are for this issue, but the location is gorgeous...you just cannot ask for more. We wished the prices were more reasonable at the restaurant and bar- we ended up trying to cook, but it was very hot to do so. Turtle Bay Cafe and La Buena Vida have excellent food and we usually had leftovers for dinner. We are not able to travel except during July and August, but if you can visit during peak months when it isn't 85 plus for heat and humidity, then this would be a wonderful location and value. read more
