The Vin de Paille has a very viscous body and complexity like that of a Sauternes. Though not as honeyed, im thinking more earthy. Unlike a late harvest/botrystis style, the "straw/raisin" wine is force dried for concentration. I guess the bordering of Switzerland and high rocky soil lends itself to its unique flavors. read more
