We're local and continue to come back because the setting, location, and overall experience are consistently great. My husband and I have visited 2+ times a year for the past 7 years or so. When you book a massage, you also get a few hours to enjoy the spa amenities, which is a huge perk. This includes the outdoor pool and hot tub, indoor warm pool, relaxation room, steam room, showers, and vanity area. The vanity area is stocked with anything you could need. Brushes, toothbrushes, ear swabs, lotion, and showers, have great shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The outdoor pool area is fairly new and the addition of the outdoor bar was a great touch. The therapists are always friendly, professional, and do an excellent job. The relaxation room includes light snacks, flavored water, and tea, which makes the experience feel even more relaxing and luxurious. Overall, we've consistently had stellar experiences. My one complaint is that the administrative staff can be very rigid and inflexible. We've experienced this twice over the years: 1. I woke up extremely sick with an upper respiratory infection and laryngitis and could barely speak. I called as soon as they opened and was told I would still be charged the full cost of the treatment if I didn't come in. Later they offer to cancel for a $50 fee, I was disappointed that they were not able to waive the fee given how sick I was. 2. During one visit, there was significant construction noise while they were building the pool area. It's all I could hear during my massage that was probably the worst experience I've had there. They didn't give me a heads up to the construction, I almost didn't go back after. One pro tip: don't book the 4 p.m. treatment slot. The spa closes at 5, and amenities start shutting down right at closing, even if you're just finishing your massage. Since they typically bring you to the relaxation room afterward, you won't get the full post-treatment experience with a later appointment. They shut off the fireplace, and steam room, and give you a time limit to exit. It all makes sense, because they have to close at some point, but it's helpful to know if you're looking for that post massage experience. read more

Before this trip, my husband sent me screenshots of two hotels and I actually chose a different one because I thought it had the better gym. He ended up booking Vinarosa Resort & Spa because he felt it looked more immersed in nature. Let me just say... the universe absolutely knew what it was doing. From the moment we arrived, I was in love. Everyone was incredibly kind, starting with Edgar at check-in. He made us feel so welcome and at ease. While we were standing there, I looked at my husband and said, "Do you think we can stay another night?" I already didn't want to leave. We stayed in room 121, which had a beautiful balcony overlooking the property. You could hear birds chirping constantly. We immediately poured a glass of wine and sat outside soaking it all in. It truly felt like being in a foreign country, tucked into a peaceful vineyard paradise. I had assumed it would feel like winter and didn't pack a bathing suit. That quickly changed. I visited the spa boutique and bought a Bromelia bathing suit that is now my favorite. It's made in California with ethically sourced materials and fit perfectly. While there, I met Chelle, the spa director, who was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She told me about spa openings for the next day, which led to one of the most incredible experiences of the trip. The next day, I spent the entire day at the pool. Completely alone. It felt surreal and magical to have that peaceful space all to myself. Later that afternoon, I went to the spa and enjoyed the amenities and snacks before having one of the most fabulous massages I've ever experienced. It was deeply relaxing and restorative. And afterward, they brought out a lemon lavender drink that can only be described as a magic elixir. It was light, refreshing, and somehow made me feel enlightened. It was the perfect finishing touch to an already transformative experience. The room itself was fully remodeled and beautifully designed. The floor lights in the bathroom automatically turn on when you walk in. The cozy vibe, the fountain outside, the mirrors in the shower -- every detail felt intentional and elevated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Each morning, I grabbed coffee and the barista, Collin, was so sweet and thoughtful. She even offered to fill my water bottle before I headed to the gym. And here's the funny part. I originally chose the other hotel because of the gym. But this gym ended up being exactly what I needed -- aesthetic, clean, and crisp. I got two great workouts in and felt completely supported in my routine. Overall, I could easily spend two weeks here without hesitation. The staff is warm and accommodating, the property is stunning, and the entire experience feels like a peaceful retreat in nature. This place is truly special. read more

I just went on my own to the spa this morning and was shocked to walk out of there with one of the top 3 facials I've ever had!!! Cassandra was INCREDIBLE. My lord, she is a miracle worker. She started with a scalp massage and it just went up from there. Andrea was professional and so friendly and we received a lots of informations regarding the gorgeous property. Our fantastic suite was on the second floor with a charming balcony with a view of the flowers and the trees of the very green property. We absolutely love the furniture and the choice of the colors in the large suite..... very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a fantastic fireplace. The bathroom was gorgeous with incredible amenities and products( bathrobes and slippers). What a treat an espresso machine and a minibar too. Before our dinner .. we stopped at the bar, we were amaze by the amazing choices of wines, beer and cocktails and the food The gym was very modern .. super clean with excellent equipments, Water and towels were in the gym too. The coffee shop closed to the lobby opened at 7.00 am with fresh and so tasty pastries and gorgeous coffee. The little boutique closed to the coffee shop offered very high end products. The property is overall in very lovely setting. I have been going here for restaurants, events, and recommended for out of town guests for many years ~ 15 years. I live nearby. The Front Room is always nice pre or post LBC event. Last night was my first time back since ownership change. Restaurant definitely not up to past standards and GROSSLY overpriced for quality of food. Service was good, staff friendly. Menu items quality did not match price - definitely not as good as before w/ current management. Everything we ordered from appetizers, salad, entrees was mediocre at best. Wine by the glass was way overpriced. I recommend bring your own and pay corkage as the prices here beyond ridiculous. Overall, for this property, they need to find better balance price vs. quality in restaurant. It does not represent Sonoma County as well as it did it past. New outside patio looks like done on cheap budget. Ok. But not what it could be. read more

I noticed that our waitperson worked a number of tables, apparently too much to handle but remained professional. The meals consisted of small portions with the taste under the mediocrity column. I didn't notice anything that would justify, or excuse, the $52 price tag for a short ribs. Overpriced meals require exceptional quality - the food was not. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. Very disappointing - A shrimp and scallops crudo was on the menu - unfortunately the dish did not contain any scallops. You're paying for the fantastic setting but not the food. This is a beautiful location for travelers. Great homebase if wine touring in the area or for an overnight day as it was for us. We enjoyed the guided wine tour through the field, the pool and the seated areas around fires on the property in the evening. Our dogs stayed in our camper, but they were able to enjoy the grounds on leash and I think they would give it a thumbs up as well ! The food was fabulous at John Ash for dinner and breakfast. Nice knowing that some of the selections were grown on site. Finally, the handicap room was truly the best I've stayed at from other hotels. Friendly, excellent service, Vinters became VillaRosa and something changed. i made a reservation for Thanksgiving 2025, they charged my credit card, and everything was fine. They called 2 days later, questioning my room choice and said fine, the room is 50.00 more per night and wanted to charge me $30.00 more a night to change my reservation. I asked to speak to a manager, they gave me the manager for John Ash resteraunt. Minus a star for that as I NEEDED a pool for my growing belly bump. But they did made up for it by giving us a day pass to a sister resort nearby. They have 2 restaurants on site, River Vine and John Ash & Co (bar inside is The Front Room). They have a spa and lots of activities around (bocce ball, life size chess, corn hole, fire pit, etc.). I will never love another resort like I do this one. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the magic of this place. It looks straight out of a fairytale. It's beautiful, clean, and homey. Our room was perfect and so clean, I was surprised. As someone who is skeptical when traveling to hotels / resorts, I was beyond impressed. The staff was very kind and I'll never forget the fresh cookies we received every night before returning to our room. The on-site vineyards are so beautiful and romantic. While the place is absolutely stunning from the outside, the rooms were in dire need of an upgrade and there were several things that didn't make it very safe for single female travelers. The pros: -A gorgeous garden area with walking trails -Nightly turndown service with cookies -A free welcome bottle of wine and complimentary water -A super cool heating lamp outside the shower/bathtub (that should be mandatory everywhere) -Beautiful walking trails -A very good on-site restaurant -15 min. drive from downtown Healdsburg The cons: -The buildings where my room was located could be accessed without a key card. Although a key card scanner was present, the door were unlocked at all times. -When I entered the room, the door to the outside patio was not locked. That's scary, because anyone of the street could have easily walked in. While the patios are charming the easy access to anyone of the street didn't help me sleep well. Avoid getting a room on the first floor. -The bed was oddly warped in the middle. Not sure what was going on there. -The bathroom didn't provide sufficient lighting to do your make up. If I looked like a clown during my stay, you now know why. -The bathtub was oddly tall. Definitely from the 80's I feel that I would have been more comfortable if I wouldn't have been by myself on the first floor. But the bathrooms still need some major updating. read more

The location was perfect--peaceful and quiet, yet still close to great restaurants and attractions. Pastries are made in house and their restaurant, John Ash had superb farm-to-table food. Loved the duck! Vinarosa has a charm that's hard to find. It strikes the perfect balance between relaxed comfort and attentive service. I visited Vinarosa Resort and Spa which was at the time vintners resort and spa like three weeks ago lol.. expecting a relaxing experience, but unfortunately, I left feeling quite the opposite. I booked a massage, and what I received was far from the rejuvenating treatment I anticipated. During the session, the massage therapist used a hot towel that was way too hot, resulting in a burn on my skin. This incident not only caused physical discomfort but also left me questioning the professionalism and competence of the staff. It's disheartening to experience such a lack of care in a place that promotes relaxation and wellness. In addition, the spa director took no responsibility and did not apologize. She had left me a voicemail that "she was so sad for me". I had to email reservations multiple times asking for her to email me so I can send her the photos of my burn, as there was no spa email contact on the website. She finally emailed me after me sending multiple frustrated emails to reservations... after I emailed her back photos of my burn she said "thanks for the photos, how would you like to proceed" I then responded that they need to pay for my laser treatment and of course no response so my lawyer will be taking care of it from now on. Overall, I am very disappointed and I highly recommend you go elsewhere as this place has no clue what they are doing and can't even take responsibility for their negligence. The day use pass prices for the pool is rather ridiculous. Too bad they didn't landscape a little more during the pool and spa renovations. Also surprising they didn't take the opportunity to install a sound system for the pool during the $15 million rehab. Charging resort prices for food and drink poolside, but having the ambience of a generic hotel chain is diabolical. $28 for a cheeseburger that is brought pool side in a brown bag and then the paper boxes sit the entire day after you are done eating.... All in a $300 + cabana that only has two lounge chairs. read more

Rented a cabana through Resort Pass for $642. Were told on phone that we would have access to locker room and steam room. We went into locker room and came out with robes and slippers. The manager Shelley came to the cabana and told my daughter to remove the robe because she was not allowed access to amenities with the cabana pass. After speaking with her at the front desk, she continued to insist we were not entitled to locker room access. Finally she told me we could have access for an additional $100. We were waiting for two friends to join us and I wanted us all to have access so I paid the additional fee. This was our first time here and probably our last. read more

I had better experiences in the past when there was different owners and spa was called "Vi La Vita". I've come to this spa a lot because it's the best ambiance/vibe in the area. I love the indoor pool, and just overall the amenities offered. I've dealt with a lot of anxiety and this place has been my zen space! I've recommended new friends/family members here because it's so great. I've also never had a massage I didn't love. However, I just had a bad experience with the new ownership/changes to spa. Their prices online are not clear (though they will tell you they are) and there was a miscommunication provided to me from an employee so I was upset. The spa director Shelly was very "policy" mindset vs "do what's right for the customer" mindset when she called to discuss with me and that's very different than what I've experienced here before. I told her I've been coming to the spa for a while and under her breath in a very condescending way, she said "shows you've only been here once", which I assume is because of the ownership/name change but she made me feel like I was lying and did not express any appreciation for my loyalty. I know for a fact it's been since 2021 that I've been coming. It just came off very rude and unpleasant. I work in customer service and know you should always make people feel valued and try to find ways to make something right when there is an issue/miscommunication. She expressed that I was told the wrong info on pricing because the employee was new, which I totally understand, however it's not my fault that there is training opportunities resulting in incorrect information being shared. I feel as a business they should take responsibility for that. I don't expect anything other than kindness, someone to listen, and respect how I am feeling and I did not get that experience. However, It would have been kind of her to offer something for the inconvenience (I am not one to ever expect that, but in the service industry isn't that what we try to do to make people return?); maybe a $5-$10 off, a discount on an add on a service in the future, just something to show she valued me coming back. I don't think that's asking for much..... ? I am bummed because I now feel very uncomfortable at my favorite spa because of how she made me feel. Not sure if I will return because of this. read more

We booked through a third party and although we got placed in an ADA room and the pool was undergoing maintenance, we appreciated the hospitality. That said, they had a caldarium that was available for use, which was pretty cool! They offered to also waive the resort fees due to the pool closure and were able to obtain a resort pass for my partner and I to get access to an alternative facility, which was very kind. Fabulous resort and amazing service. When I booked our room I made sure to let reservations know that it was a stay for our anniversary and a bucket list trip. I can't say enough that the resort made sure that our room had a beautiful view. The grounds were meticulously maintained and we were even able to walk the footpath around the vineyard. The bar had a great abbreviated menu with delicious food. Don't pass on the baked oysters, they're delicious. Turn down service is wonderful complete with 2 baked cookies. This resort is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a wedding! The grounds are very well maintained when we went at the end of September. There is a spa, restaurant and bocce ball. I especially loved how gorgeous the reception and ballroom was. Very little decor is needed since the resort is already beautiful as it is. We didn't stay at the resort, but I did get ready in one of my friend's suite. I love how there was an outdoor balcony with a bistro set, so that you can sip your coffee and people watch in the morning. There's also a pool too. I didn't see where the elevator was, but luckily we had nice working legs to walk up the two flight of stairs. It is also located near Graton Casino, so if you're looking for something to do besides wine tasting, then there are concerts or other activities nearby. Definitely one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to. read more

Two hours into checking in, room cleaning service came by knocked on the door and I said "who's there" they knocked again and keyed themselves in!! I found that so inappropriate. We had our wedding at Vintners about a month ago and everything was more than perfect! We initially booked with Vintners in 2018 for a wedding in 2020, but due to the pandemic, we unfortunately had to reschedule for 2021. We worked with Jessica to find a new date and to reschedule our hotel room as well. For it being such a difficult time in the world, we were happy that rescheduling our entire wedding was a simple process. Vintners is such a beautiful location and truly the perfect place for a wedding. The best part is that because it is a resort, you can easily get ready on site and then have a hotel room for after the wedding right on site as well. The room we got was perfect for getting ready in and had ample space for 10 women, 2 girls, 3 hair and makeup artists, 2 photographers, and our wedding coordinator. Every single location at Vintners is unique and a great photo opportunity for wedding pictures. You can go in the vineyard as well as an olive tree grove. We loved all of our wedding pictures and are so glad that Vintners keeps their grounds pretty and well maintained. There are a million things that I can say about Vintners and how great the venue is for a wedding so if you are thinking about a wedding at Vintners (or even just a weekend getaway), I highly recommend it. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it! We will definitely be going back for our anniversary! read more

We stayed at this resort for two days. A very spacious room may be a little bit too much for us. They did have a nice refrigerator and the AC did not make a lot of noise. We could hear the people on both sides of us a few times. The grounds were lovely and everybody was very friendly. We ate at their breakfast restaurant one day. So, good points, disappointing points... Had a King Balcony Fireplace room with Vineyard View. Each 'adjective' is an upgrade. Great view of the vineyard, room nicely appointed and updated. Had breakfast on our way out, great meal. Fireplace didn't operate. Noted that at 900pm on Sunday so not inclined to call down for 'repair' when in robes before going to bed. Room wasn't ready at 4pm checkin time so waited in the car for our keys. No one at the front desk let us know that all items in the minbar were included. No room handbook [how to operate the fireplace, hotel policies, etc.]. To their credit they removed the resort fees each day, once for the delay in checkin, the other for the non op fireplace. For a 'destination' resort at $400 per nite they should have this on autopilot. read more

The grounds are gorgeous! However this beautiful resort offers little in the way of contemporary resort amenities though charging a hefty resort fee. In my time here dining has been limited, expensive and simply not worth it. Even before I dined at the hotel, I was told by staff to DoorDash, thats what I finally did Mother's Day was so all encompassing for the resort it eliminated most food services for a couple of days. There was no or little room service during my stay. The pool is closed. My room is weirdly outdated though likely recently updated. The small tv has only cable tv and no streaming. The room could be stunning but skews year 2000, completely in denial of contemporary design by including burgundy velvet pillows, super high beds and dated artwork. No valet No help with luggage. During my check in staff was fixated on a couple that hadn't paid their bills and was taking off in their Maserati. Everyone was focused on them taking pics and sending messages in code rather than paying attention to guests who do pay their bills. The poor restaurant hostess had to ask servers five times to serve my table Especially noticeable was the powerful odor in the dining room which was so pungent I ate outside Many folks who stayed here before asked for the cookies they used to offer They don't have them anymore , it's a shame Overall exceptionally lacking read more
