It's a multilevel building with anything you'd want for your sporting needs. I saw they were having a sale or (salg) so I decided to check it out. During my trip I only brought one pair of shoes and they were killing me so I needed options (cheap options). I found a pair of Fila slides for 149 Kroner or around $19USD which was perfect. Everything else was much, much more expensive. These were exactly what I needed to give my poor feet relief. The line was kind of long at checkout, but it more ridiculously fast. The girl who waited on me was really friendly and I was out within no time. Great experience overall and made my trip literally more comfortable.

And also, because they have chosen to have lockers with bought goods (for me as a customer to pick up) in the very back of the store I was told to show the items when I left the store (two paid dumbbells at 7 kg each I just had put thoroughly on the bottom of my backpack). Which I sort of can understand. I had to show the receipt and was then told that I could've been stealing anything without they knowing If I didn't. Way to make a customer feel welcomed. When they choose to put the lockers where they are and choose not to have a person checking the packages when they are being picked up, I as a customer should have to experience this shitty behavior..? I really don't recommend anyone to be buying their sport goods at this place. I won't discredit all the XXL stores, the ones downtown might be better, but stay away from this one if you can.

This place wont necessarily save you money but it will save you on time. I loved the book section and thought they had a fantastic selection, everything from traveling with babies, to volunteering, to eating your way through the world. I came in to buy my sister a present, but ill come here again for inspiration and to let my mind wonder a bit. They carry all sorts of gear, tools, gadgets and journals. The norwegians are infamous for giving a poor customer service and that is a bit sad really. Mainly because this is a travel shop and one would suppose that the people who work in it have some experience with dealing with people and especially with people from other cultures/nationalities. Perhaps it has to do with the posh area of Frogner... It would probably be a bit more chilled out and friendly in Grunnerloka. I have shopped from here 4 times. There is a good assortment of things. Things that can be found somewhere else too, but here they are in a more relevant travel context. Unfortunately the prices here are not the best either. I gave 2 stars because a shop is not made only by its merchandise, it is mainly made by its people. And most of them look really bored and not communicative. Especially for a world travel shop.
