It appears all the poor reviews are from a prior era of ownership, I say those days are gone. The owner took our order and made our pies...I suspect like many places he has trouble hiring good help but that didn't interrupt his friendly attitude and desire to deliver a quality product. This is true NY style pizza, ultra thin, crispy crust topped with all your heart desires. Personally, I'd go for the meat lovers and while you wait, daydream about folding that plate sized slice of heaven in half while it's piping hot, fresh from the oven! A+!! read more

Just moved to the area so I'm on the search for some good go to places. Pizza being high on my go to list. I ordered the works specialty pizza. It wasn't bad. I also ordered Buffalo wings & requested them fried hard with extra sauce. Very disappointed in the wings. They are squishy and barely have sauce. This place is a 3.5 because the pizza was pretty good. It tasted fresh, had good flavor, and wasn't greasy at all. The reason for the 3.5 stars is because of the wings and the garlic knots that we ordered. The garlic knots were not fluffy at all, a bit hard on the outside, and I didn't taste garlic or Parmesan on them. The wings needed to be cooked more, there was a mild flavor even though we asked for medium, wasn't much sauce, and there was no crispy on the outside of the wings. Will definitely try this place again in the future because of their pizza. read more

This place is amazing! I've been struggling to find good pizza in Florida like most but this place is great. It's a very small shop located on west bay and very close to Missouri ave. The owner Vinny always greets me and asks how things are going and the woman behind the counter is friendly. They always have a variety of pizza by the slice options. My favorite is the "grandma" which my friends from Long Island told me all about. Last night I also tried the BBQ Chicken and a white pizza, with sausage!! Both were absolutely incredible. Ingredients were fresh and we got 5 big pieces of pizza for $16 bucks plus it was ready in 3 minutes. I'll definitely be heading back when I'm craving good pizza! read more

Not the old Vinnys or my cousin Vinnys. I ordered the extra large margarita pizza. Went to pick it up and handled him my cc. Looked at the receipt- he charged me $34 I balked and said that's not what the online menu said it listed $21 The owner said Florida tax is high and he also changed the menu costs a few weeks ago. I picked up a menu (there were dozens) on the counter and showed him the same price as online and even with 7% it should have be at least $10 cheaper. He said he didn't get a chance to upgrade "those" menus. I said that was Bullsh!t. He already rang my credit card up. I was starving so I paid and left no tip. The guy was rude and a liar. I drove home and opened the box to see I was ripped off again. Look at that f-ing pizza. All dough and 3 inches of "crust" with little cheese, sauce or toppings. More like flat bread with a little sauce and cheese The pizza wasn't even that good. I threw it out and went out for some fast food. I'm never going to Vinny's. I asked around and was told Vinnys has been under new ownership for about a year and not the Vinnys of old. A friend of mine is on the chamber of commerce and told me this story Chamber of commerce luncheon hosted at Vinnys after they reopened to welcome and help new owner. Owner said before at the c of c meeting that the lunch would be discounted. At the end of lunch owner gave full bill with 25% tip added on. When C of C people asked about tip and discount they were told with so many people it was their policy to automatically add on tip, and owner handed out 10% off coupons for future visit to those that asked. At the recommendation of my hairstylist who owns the salon next door, I decided to try this place for lunch as I was waiting for my color to sit in. Amazing! They have a lunch special of 2 slices of cheese pizza and a soda for $5 or 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and a soda for $6. The slices, as you can see on the photo, are huge! The flavor is fantastic and the employees were friendly. So happy to have such a nice and convenient lunch spot that I can walk to from the salon. It's mainly a takeout place very limited seating inside. I do think they will have a patio area at some point. Ingredients are nowhere near what they were before. I asked about the changes and the clerk told me it had changed. I later asked the aparent new owner and he said nothing has changed. This is the second time coming in and asking the same. He could care less. He is lying about the change of ownership, which in fact it has changed. (The worker confirmed.) Charlie called me back 2 days later to inquire about my phone call and complaints. He offered to replace the pizza as initially promised. He asked that I pick it up to avoid this from occurring again and I showed him the picture in which he agreed. I tried a Stromboli with cheese, ricotta, steak and peppers! It came out so big, the lid wouldn't even close! Brand new pizza shop in town that just opened their doors a week ago. They offer the normal NY style pizzaria items on the menu plus a few surprises that you won't find elsewhere such as the strawberry and & mandarin baby spinach salad or the Vinny's Vegas Pie. The slices of cheese I had were delicious here. The sause to the perfect crispness of the crust and the flavor of the mozzarella, all were on point. There are some small tables inside and outside for you to sit at and of course you can take your meal to go if you need to. Update: since my first review, I've been back to Vinny's twice. The first time I tried two slices of their specialty pizzas: one BBQ chicken, one Buffalo chicken. I'm sorry to say that neither stood out & blew my socks off as I'd hoped. The flavor notes were not as pronounced as I'd expect, especially for being savory flavors like BBQ & Buffalo. On my third visit I had the meatball parm sub, and THIS was a knockout. The bread is light & flaky yet slightly chewy. The sub is loaded with flavorful meatballs smothered in some excellent red sauce and surrounded with melted cheese. This is the meatball sub you've been looking for, and most definitely worth returning for. After three visits over time, Vinny's has certainly done well and is worth a visit (or return trip). read more

When we first tried Vinny's l, first few times really liked it. But now I'm So tired of vinnys. The last few times delivery takes 90 mins. Twice now Pizza is cold. Called the restaurant, some guy answers, tell him my issues, puts me on hold, some other guy answers. If your gonna escalate tell the person what the issue is. Vinny is super cool and has really good pizza. I have to be completely honest 2X I came in and he had the day off. His parents were working and I'm assuming making pizza in Vinny's absence. They are nice people but the Pizza was definitely not the same. I forget which slice I ordered but it had a few toppings on it and was pre-made, when I started to eat it , it literally fell apart from being soggy and too heavy. They replaced it with another slice but just added the same topping to it so it was over baked and the toppings where not very hot. They tried and I'm happy about that. Another time they were there and not Vinny, my cheese slice tasted like it had been sitting too long before they reheated it. Sorry Vinny. :( Still love coming in but only when your working.
