I have a very large Basswood Tree that is over 100 years old. In the 60 plus years that my family and I have owned, it has never been trimmed and needed to have some dead branches taken down. My biggest concern was that the hedges and day lilies in the front yard would get damaged during the process. Before the work began, the crew took the time to speak with me and listen to my concerns. They were very friendly, professional, worked quickly, and took great care as to not damage the front yard. We sadly watched one of our pine trees in our backyard die within a week after a nasty storm with thunder and lightning. We tried to find a tree service to cut down the dead tree. The estimates we were receiving were well over $1,000! Probably due to where we live. Vinny's Tree Service, LLC in Omaha gave us a great estimate under $1,000!! I had a very difficult job -- two large trees on a steep slope and leaning over my pond/patio toward my house!! The crew from Vinny's brought the right equipment to reach over my pond and lower each cut softly to the patio. They even put mats on the grass so machinery did minimal damage -- almost no grass was harmed during the entire day. They also saved my sidewalk lights and all sprinkler heads. He sent a crew over to remove a tree. They did not clean up their mess. They broke my fence and left their empty soda cans in my yard. We called and tried to get them to come back out and clean up after themselves and they utterly ignored us. We paid entirely to much money for them to leave my yard and fence in such poor condition! These idiots showed up to remove my neighbor's tree and with no advance notice, indemnification, or permission, parked their truck and lift in my driveway. They proceeded to put down the stabilizers and began work. Common courtesy to ask permission to be on someone's property and to ensure that, in the event there is any damage to the property or dwelling that they will cover it. But, no. Our landscaping company sent Vinny's Tree Service to take down a very large tree for us. While they were here, we asked them to trim a few additional trees for us. We figured they were already here and they would probably like to make a little extra. Based on a verbal conversation, we assumed they were charging $125. They trimmed the trees as requested cutting off the ends of about 6 branches, and it added about 15-20 minutes for them to trim the trees from the ground with a pole saw. We were extremely surprised when we received an invoice for $375. Evidently they charge $125/tree, which equates to a rate of about $1,500/hour. When we contacted them about our concern, they held firm on their $375 to trim a few branches with a pole saw and were extremely rude. They additionally noted they were only paid $500 from the landscaping company to cut down a giant catalpa tree, which took them about 3 hours to cut down and grind out the stump. We were very disappointed in the Vinny's Tree Service took advantage of the situation and hoodwinked a trusting customer. I would not recommend them to any individual or as a sub-contractor to a landscaping company. read more

They did not call before arriving to my house and because of that removed bush that I had been working on for 3 years. It then took the until the next day to return my call. Now 2 weeks later we have new plants to get in the ground and moved our rock to realize that they ground exactly a 1/2 inch off the stumps they were supposed to completely remove and covered them up with river rock. No one answers when I call. The owner is very nice but I am very unhappy and will be until this is resolved completely. read more

They kept to their timeline of when they would get to our bid and did a phenomenal job and zero waste in our yard!
