My sister and I were seated in between two large tables of pre-teens. If you're a visitor in Acqualagna, you're there for the truffles. So obviously, we ordered a dish of their highly recommended tagliatelle pasta topped with black truffle. It wasn't good. The pasta noodles were hard almost as if they weren't cooked long enough and the truffle wasn't good either-alike it was old. After only taking a few bites we put in an order for one of their Naples style pizza-the prosciutto crudo pizza. It took a LONG time for the pizza to come out. Tables of locals that ordered after us received their pizzas before us. We were almost about to tell them to cancel the order just when they brought it. The pizza was definitely better than the pasta dish but even it wasn't amazing pizza...and when you're in Italy you should be eating amazing pizza and not wasting your time on mediocre pizza.
