My friend and I made reservations in advance for Palentine's date at VinoVero on Valentine's Day. Although they didn't have a prix fixe menu for the occasion, we expected it to be busy because of the holiday. RESERVATIONS The restaurant was called ahead of time, and a reservation was confirmed. INTERIOR It is a very cozy and small wine bar and restaurant. Wooden tables and bar seating are available. There are several outdoor tables out front, equipped with space heaters. SERVICE There were two servers, one of whom was the owner. They were very nice gentlemen who greeted us upon entering and checked on us throughout the entire dining experience. The customer service was exceptional! FOOD & DRINKS VinoVero provided a good selection of wine, and to celebrate our friendship, we both chose a delicious glass of rosé. Unlike the usual sweeter varieties, this rosé was pleasantly dry. The server was thoughtful enough to bring us the bottle and share insights about the wine, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was served fresh, with everything made in-house. We ordered several "For the Table" plates to share, and they were fantastic. As we were waiting for our order, the server brought out an amuse-bouche courtesy of the kitchen. I forget what it was exactly, but it was a mini soup of sort. Complimentary mini red velvet cupcakes were given to each patrons at the end, which was sweet. * Winter Salad (heirloom farm chicories, mandarin walnut, provolone cheese, house dressing, crackers) * Foccacia Bread - The bread is very tasty and made in-house. Because it was Valentine's Day, a chipotle glaze was added during that day's service, which added a kick to the flavor. * Burrata (organic burrata, prosciutto Di Parma, taggiasca olive, crackers) * Nonna Meatballs (house made meatballs, San marzano tomato sauce, parmigiano reggiano) Overall, it was a great first experience. The customer service and food were wonderful. The owner genuinely cares about the patrons and makes an effort to interact with everyone who walks through the doors of VinoVero. My friend and I will definitely return to enjoy more moments at VinoVero.

Such a lovely little wine bar in downtown Los Gatos! I came here on a Saturday evening with my partner for a birthday dinner. We didn't have a reservation but luckily there was plenty of seating available when we got there. We decided to get some food to pair with our wine: - Focaccia (4/5): Their focaccia is thicccckkkk! It has a bit of a fried texture to it as well, which I've never seen with focaccia. It is only seasoned with salt and I do wish that it had some more spices to it, but it's good if you want to pair it with other dishes, like the meatballs. - Meatballs (4/5): Can't really go wrong with a classic. It's basically spaghetti and meatballs without the noodles. - Focaccia Salad (5/5): This honestly shocked me. The focaccia works well as if they were croutons. The salad is simple yet flavorful with the ingredients and dressing. - Argula and Proscuitto Pizza (4/5): A classic combination. The portion is huge and great for sharing. The owner was nice and gave us some good suggestions for white and red wines. He also gave us meringue on the house to celebrate my birthday, which were good! We also got some tiramisu, which we at first felt bad for ordering because we weren't sure if the kitchen was closed, but the owner let us order it. The tiramisu was nice and fluffy but with a nice hint of coffee. As a gift for visiting, they also gave us some dried orange slices. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here at VinoVero! It felt very personal and the vibes were chill.

Interior! Cute Sip sip Hooray sign behind us. ;)

My friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at VinoVero last night. All of the food was outstanding and each of us were impressed by the quality. We felt like we were transported to a quaint Italian countryside eatery! The owner was very good at making recommendations, but we did worry when he grabbed our menus strait away and said that we should trust him on what to serve! ;) Our party ended up really enjoying this as it was a unique experience and we are adventurous eaters, but I would caution some may not like being out of control with the choices. He was very kind to make sure everything was good and kept checking to see if we had preferences after what was initially served, (which was thoughtful). I will also say that the restaurant is very small. There was the owner and one other server. So I would say dine on a night when no one in the party has a time constraint. This is more European style and the meal didn't feel rushed. We really savored and relished each dish that came. I also made the reservation over a week in advance to allow time for them to prep and have space for us. We were treated to amuse bouche (a wonderful cauliflower soup) which elevated the experience. The owner advised on a very tasty red blend and champagne. We all enjoyed the 2 bottles. We were informed the salads were farm to table from a local Saratoga farmer. The quality was amazing and the salad was so pretty; it had tasty yellow flowers in it! I wish I had gotten a picture of these. The focaccia bread was a real treat! I think I ate 4 big squares to myself (oops)! It is clearly baked fresh and some of the best bread ever. We enjoyed the buffalo mozzarella with it and the remnants of the meatball sauce. The pickled vegetables, olives, and artichoke hearts were amazing too. The last surprise were the desserts. We enjoyed chocolate lava cake with mandarins, apple tart cakes, and cute tiramisus in ramekins. All of them were fabulous and top quality. The owner even brought little cupcakes to take home as a bonus treat. Thank you VinoVero for the most memorable, delicious birthday dining experience!

The owner was so friendly and made the experience so much more enjoyable! He asked our flavor profile preferences and said "Do you trust me?" Immediately knew this place was a winner because his recommendations were delicious!! If you come here try some of their Santa Cruz IPAs! The bread of the pizza was the perfect mix of a soft pillowy inside with a crunch on the outside. Prosciutto was fresh and mixed well with the arugula CHEF'S KISS!!

My friend and I wanted to try something different, so we decided to go to a wine bar and partake of a charcuterie board and a few glasses of vino. Vino Vera is a cute little wine bar in Los Gatos. The inside seats less than thirty people but they do have seating outside as well. We called ahead of time to see if we needed reservations, and we were directed to their website and email. We had to send an email making the request which I thought was archaic, but we received a prompt response back which acknowledged and accepted our request. To me, making reservations this way takes more time on the customer's end; reserving by phone or using Open Table or Yelp is much more convenient. But anyhow, we got in. The bartender was very informative and let us know our options. He was also very attentive during our stay. We opted for "Chef's Choice" where the chef chose three cheeses and three meats based on what wine you were drinking. When we received our order, I was a little disappointed as I expected the presentation to be a little more fancy, but the cheese and meats were a nice choice that paired with our wine. We stayed for a long minute, so we ordered a pizza. It wasn't packed with flavor; in fact, it didn't have much taste, but it looked wonderful on the plate. We had a nice little outing, and we spent a pretty penny. If I lived in the area, I'd probably visit here, but since I don't I'll be looking for someplace with more pizzazz.

Our first visit at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon went a bit bumpy. There were only 3 other people there and they had already been served so the owner had lots of time to talk at us. My girlfriend and I wanted soak in the experience and look over the wine menu but the owner was checking on us every minute so we didnt feel relaxed. The space is nice though with indoor & outdoor seating. I had a good red and she had a rose she liked. Overall too much talking & pressure but we may try again when there are more people.

This absolutely is a great establishment. You can tell the owner really has experience in the food industry and with this style of food. If you LOVE wine you better make sure this is part of your list. The wine recommendations were phenomenal- some of the best quality we have ever had. The owner recommended what to eat, and everything was extremely high quality. The location is cozy and high class. You're paying for the food quality, the care from ownership and the vibe. Don't miss out if you live or are visiting the Los Gatos area. Because this place is one of a kind!

This place is great!! My friend and I were looking for a new wine bar to check out and I came across VinoVero on Yelp. We didn't have a reservation, but were lucky enough to get 2 sears at the bar. We were greeted by a boisterous and friendly Italian gentleman who, I assume, was the owner. He was great!! Very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable about his wines and how they compared to CA wines. We each had a couple glasses of delicious Italian wine, red and white. We didn't intend to eat, but couldn't resist the olives and focaccia - so good!! Anyway, I definitely want to come back and try the food! The place is tiny so make a reservation to guarantee your spot. But you won't be disappointed!

The service from the time I sat down & throughout my delicious meal was so welcoming & attentive. The house olives in an herbal olive oil pickling were very tasty. The homemade foccacia was so satisfying. The BBQ pork ribs with potatoes & farm fresh vegetables was the Best I've ever had! The sparkling Italian rose recommended paired perfectly with my meal. My favorite Italian restaurant in the Bay Area.

Fantastic addition to the LG downtown scene. They just competed their 3 month anniversary and I wish them many many more. It was late on a Friday evening and we made an impromptu decision to stop off and get a drink and a snack. I was in flip flops and shorts and had a little initial hesitation looking at the other well dressed customers. However, the big smile and welcome from the staff made me get past that. My initial thought was that this was a a wine bar as the name suggests and that the food was likely an afterthought and would not be that good especially given the small menu. Boy was I wrong. The caprese sandwich on the house made focaccia bread was divine and I snorted it down. The chocolate walnut for dessert was beautifully presented, delicate and delicious. The best part was the service. Both the waiters were so warm and friendly and I loved how they interacted with us and the other tables. It was fun, engaging and genuine. They made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Bravo! PS- check out the bathroom, it's very unique

We came right before 5pm, before the kitchen opened so we ordered drinks while we waited. Husband was very impressed with their wine list, which is a good sign. He was excited to try different wines and it's awesome they offer half pours so he could try more. But oh-my-gosh. GET. THE. SANTORINI. I loved that drink. Milk punch, yoghurt ... it was so refreshing and milky. I felt like I was in south of France or in Hawaii, sitting on the patio with the slight breeze and plants around and quiet atmosphere. It was so yummy, I got a second. This is a big indication how good the drink is because 99% of the time I usually have my husband finish my drink and never order a second one...especially the SAME ONE. But omg, I need to go back to get another. I've been dreaming of it. Service was great. Esp since we were one of the only guests, they tended to us well. It can be easy to forget about the guests on the patio but their cadence in checking on us was good. Portion sizes for the food is quite generous. We're used to octopus dishes coming out really small as tapas, but they gave a lot. And I loved the fried kidney beans that came with it. I liked how the bluefin tuna crudo came in a light oil and not overly sauced or salty. Pork chop ... WOW. Huge portion, we were so impressed. Rich flavors, delicious. Boar pappardelle, daughter did her happy food dance so you know it's good. Al dente and great taste.

This place is owned by a husband and wife team. The tasting room in Los Gatos is cute with several tables, couches and seating at the bar and limited seating outside. You can walk in for a tasting or a glass or two of wine but it's best to make a reservation if it is a larger group. Tasting is $20 that is waived with purchase of 2 bottles or if you become a wine club member. The parking is the difficult part, but it's just to this tasting room. Downtown Los Gatos in general has limited parking. The first time I arranged a meetup event tasting here, it was not that busy on a weekend. Gail, one of the owners served us. What all of us noticed is that while she poured the wine for our tastings, she did not linger to talk about each wine nor did she promote the wine club or even ask us if we wanted to purchase anything. It was not busy at all so can't blame it on that. We wrote it off as a fluke. But, this happened the next time we went as a group and at the various wine walks. Gail will be smiling and will pour the wine for the people in front of us but as my group and I approach, the smile is gone. She will pour the tasting but wait for us to move on - again no explanation on what she is pouring etc. This past week, I was talking to her at an event and she just brushed me off with her hand and talked over me to some one else. I met the husband at the 2024 Vine to Wine event and we had a long conversation, which was a welcome change. Frankly, I don't remember what she poured or whether it tasted good, I came away with the memory of the person pouring.
