I didn't, as I just wanted a basic haircut. Nice job and happy with the results, considering I'm thinning quite a bit, so there's not a whole lot to work with these days. However, I was taken back by the pricing. Especially considering this is just a small town and not a big city. These are just guys getting a haircut at a barbershop not some salon. I guess the good ol' fashioned shop I've been going to the last six years was quite a bargain. This place was about 50% more. Fortunately I can visit friends and see my prior barber in the future. Getting a good, men's haircut can be a difficult task in most unisex shops. In my experience, many…read morebeauticians have an idea of what you want and despite what you tell them they are going to cut your hair the way they want with not listening to you. Usually, my hair is not cut short enough for my taste. Asking for a "high and tight" cut will typically get you a blank stare. I found Old School Barbershop on Yelp and immediately saved it to my favorites. I visited on Monday but the store was closed to my disappointment. The hours on the door are blank for Monday's so not sure if they are open or not but on the Monday I arrived they were closed. I returned on Wednesday and only had a short wait as the barber was finishing up his last customer. The gentleman who cut my hair is not a staff member but was filling in for the owner who was away for a family visit. He cut my hair exactly as I wanted and I walked out with the best haircut I have had in several years.
