This shoppe offers antiques, shabby chic designs, & just plain vintage items of interest. It's an extremely well organized, clean & aesthetically pleasing space; each room is a new experience-- see pics. If it's antique furniture you want, there is some, although it's limited. But lots of home decor items, glassware, jewelry, & clothing, etc. Diana's business card reads, "From Shabby to Chic Antique to Unique." Prices were good, but slightly higher than at similar shoppes in other areas. There's plenty of parking behind the building, & there's a wheelchair ramp available. This shoppe opened at this location approximately two years ago, but it will soon move to a new location-- not yet determined, but it will be nearby. (The Tea Room will occupy this space.) If you are in the market for gifts, this would be a great place to check out. There's even a wedding section. I've been watching and shopping in this store for a few years now and I find the store sort of boring. But confusing. There is so much glassware. And their prices for their booths are exorbitant. And it is so tightly packed with the same stuff. I don't know how anyone makes any money selling there. You're paying a good amount of money but if everyone's selling glass trinkets, how is anyone doing well. I'm not into it. I'd rather go to a flea market and buy things so I'm not being charged tax as well. I think it's a disservice to people selling goods antique or vintage. I think this is like a money making pyramid scheme for them that they're just taking money out of the pockets of vendors and filling the place up with the same old stuff booth after booth after booth with no originality whatsoever. and I think each space costs more or less based on where you're located. And the owners have their things right up front. I overheard them training someone one day and they made it sound as if they were teaching the new person that the vendors needed to bend to their whims. And that they would learn how to deal with their contracts. That's ugly behavior in my book. I honestly wouldn't sell anything here. I'd be surprised if anyone breaks even in a month. There used to be a person who sold cute little plants and it was very refreshing, that is gone. Now you have heavy old Victorian furniture and outrageously priced lamps. And a lot of tchotchkes. I'll keep thrifting, garage and estates and going to the flea, I do better that way. It also seems more a more reasonable way for people to sell their things. Here's a heads up , there's an antique shop on Jacqueline Road that offers space for a pop up the first Saturday of the month for 25 bucks in season. That's a deal sell all your stuff in a day for short money not $200 a month like a corner in RMB. And that's my word.

Their clothes are twice as expensive as Habitat for Humanity's Thrift Store. If you think they are doing a "great service " to the homeless, talk to some of the people in their "program" about how they're treated. It was totally eye opening! And once, I went in there for help because some folks living in the woods had lost everything in a storm. Though they say they're there to help the homeless, they charged me full price for the blankets and clothes I needed. Frankly, I don't donate there anymore and rarely shop there.

I've done my share of thrift store shopping in the area and this store has an excellent array of…read moreitems that are always clean and well displayed. there are areas separated very nicely with crystal, bedding, all clothing is hung nicely and never shoved in or wrinkled, the shoes are all matched and ready to be tried on, the furniture is in good condition and they even have an entirely separate room just for Christmas! Now, this comes with a bit of a higher price. The care they take on the items takes a lot of time and that demands more workers for more hours - so the price must be higher - and people need to understand that. It is nice going into a thrift store and not coming out feeling like you need to wash your hands after looking at the dishes - and I appreciate that because I often go from one store to another - so I'm willing to pay $1 more for something - but, I do understand that it's not possible for some. That being said, the workers here are amazing and so helpful. I have asked all kinds of questions and they are always open and honest about my questions. I got a couple of cookbooks on my last trip and was very happy with my purchases. The trip before I found an old lamb cake mold for $1 and I had no idea how to use it and she said she didn't either but was curious about it, too! She said if it worked for Easter to let her know - so I'll post my successful pic here for her! It's been a great place to shop!

However, even though this business should have opened at 10:00 AM, at 11:00 AM it was still closed. (A note on the door explaining the closure would have been appreciated.) Loved the vintage signs & windows in the back yard, so I'll definitely attempt to stop in within the next few weeks. However, I'll phone ahead before I make the long drive.
