Visiting the Wagon Yard was near perfect on a recent trip to Granbury. Allow me to explain. South of North Texas you'll find in recent years newly made in Mexico metal signs with minimal tack weld featuring everything from Longhorns, Aggies, Wine, Bar's open...etc. Point being I found every room unique and a bit above the norm for Texas kitsch. Ok, a few things are a carbon copy. Yet, I found some excellent pottery and signs that I haven't seen before. Alot of aviation options, and furniture that seems to be from the area with options for customization. Glad I took a stroll a half block of the square and visited the Wagon Yard.

Wow, Wow, WOW! Enormous selection of vintage jewelry in every style and era. Something for…read moreeveryone here. Our group of 7 each found something, from vintage watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, Asian, African, Catholic, Christian, Buddism, Victorian, 70s, 80s, 90s, Mermaid...and so many more. We spent over an hour picking jewelry. There is a daily sales board right at the front, so you can save even more off the very reasonable vendor prices. There is a selection of furniture, books, and other items but to be honest we never made it past the vintage jewelry section. I spent less then $30 for 2 earrings, 2 bracelets, and 2 necklaces. I was blown away to find a very curated store. Just inside the door is a glass case of handcrafted chocolates. If you can get past those you will find tasteful home decor that you may think Joanna Gaines chose herself! As a matter of fact, I left town before I could go back and get a throw blanket that I coveted the whole time I was there. No worries though, I called the owner and she is holding it for me until I go back for Thanksgiving!! I tore myself away from the fabulous decor, that sadly wouldn't fit in my suitcase, to find clothing that totally surprised me. I've always been a Johnny Was fan. I generally buy it from Neiman Marcus and here it was, in this little town, in this crazy cute boutique!! And here is a little secret, it was less here than in the luxury department store. We saw some kids running around without adult supervision, and wanted to note that there is so much old and fragile stuff that it really is not an environment for kids. The old books were fascinating. Lots of classics, but the prices were terribly high for the awful condition of the books. Hubby complained of getting a headache from the old musty air in the store... could probably use a good airing out.

Absolutely NO !!! Would give it a zero but that wasn't an option…read more I DO NOT RECOMMEND CLEBURNE GOODWILL. Take the short drive & shop the *****BURLESON GOODWILL*****. A 5 star staff. Cleburne on-site manager is rude, hateful, and discriminates in enforcement of company policies. When items are pointed out to her that are in violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, she verbally lies and says that she will have the tags description changed, and does not. This used to be my favorite store. It is obvious that the on-site manager has no idea how to build team spirit. Employees have left due to hostile work environment. You can also see that the remaining employees are working in a tense atmosphere. For a time period there were even signs, put on furniture for sell, not allowing you to sit down. For which I was reprimanded by manager. So anyone, including older and handicapped individual had nowhere to rest before continuing to shop. As a handicapped individual, I had to bring my walker in ( which I don't need as I can navigate with just a cane), so I had seating to rest while shopping. Awkward to navigate that with a shopping cart. Seriously, CORPORATE GOODWILL this is strike #2 in selecting managers for the Cleburne Goodwill. Also, and I have photos for documentation, despite numerous conversations with manager,multiple problems that customers encounter are not corrected. To test electrical items, the location of the outlets allowed are either nonfunctional or so low to the ground, that I have personally observed people sitting on floor to test things, and then needing assistance to get up. P.S. If corporate sees this,please remember how long it took you to realize about manager mistake #1...when you were warned at least 6 months before you finally took action.
