For all the English travelers visiting Das Leuze let me be the first to share that this is a great…read morereprieve from travels with many health benefits! Whether traveling solo, with friends or family, Das Leuze is an enjoyable experience. I came to Stuttgart to visit my family and suggested we go to a geothermal mineral bath (one of my favorite things to do when traveling abroad). Some tips for your visit: -Bring your own towels, sandals and robes; by the way, we never saw any of these to rent. -Bring your own children's floats, floaty or water arm bands as they are allowed but I do not believe they are available to rent or purchase onsite. -Shoes will not be allowed in the pool areas, only sandals. -You may purchase one time admission for 2 hours maximum or an unlimited day pass for a higher fee. -If you purchase passes for 2hrs max, you must mind the time as overage fees will apply if you exceed the maximum time limit. -You will get a digital wristband to wear during your stay. -There are two levels of lockers and changing facilities. -Bring a Euro coin (€2) to deposit at the first set of smaller lockers as this is where you will lock your valuables, separate from your clothes in the changing rooms. You will get your Euros back when you collect your items. -After locking your valuables, you will select a changing stall to change into and then lock your shoes and clothes in using your digital wristband to lock and unlock. -You must then proceed to the showers to shower and remove any scents from your body as best as possible. -This is also where the restroom/toilet facilities are so plan accordingly. I am happy to share that the facility is very family-friendly with a separate children & family areas for changing and swimming/playtime. The mineral baths/pools range in size and temperatures, with some warmer and others cool. There are both indoor and outdoor options to enjoy, with a wide range available--everything from large and loud/active playing to smaller and quiet/relaxing. There is also a hot tub inside and outside there is a lazy river and swimming with water jets/fountains to massage your muscles. If you parked in the parking lot, be sure to keep your Das Leuze ticket purchase receipt as you must do your parking pass checkout inside before leaving the facility and verify your stay. When in doubt, kindly ask someone if they happen to speak your language or use apps such as Google Translate. They also have sauna onsite but I did not purchase this additional experience. I personally feel like more than 2 hours is needed if wanting to switch between pools and saunas. Also, heads up that saunas do not permit clothing or bathing suits, only towels. Enjoy and have fun!

One of my favorites in Stuttgart! I used to live really…read moreclose for 20 years and checked out a lot of placed around, this one is one of the original ones. First of all I have to say that Stuttgart has really great mineral water and this is one of the places you want to enjoy it. It's not cheap, I usually go for 3 hours that's just over 10 euros which can get steep if you have family! You can use the whole place for that money! They have a big inside swimming area with different basins where the water is in different temperatures and comes from different springs. You can grap a bench outside or inside and enjoy swimming and playing.there is a little playground also. What I use the Leuze for although is the sauna and steam bath area, it's included in the entrance fee. There are two parts on both sides of the building with an outside area in between. There are all together 10 steam or sauna rooms with different temperatures and with or without "aufguß" ( that's when somebody puts water on the hot stones in the sauna room),they also have a cold water pool and a cold water " hole" . There is crushed ice around and a lot of beds on several terraces or swinging chairs. They also serve drinks( beer also) and little snacks at a tiny bar.next to that bar are solariums. As you are walking around naked, at least that's what most people do and it is required to be naked in the sauna rooms , be aware that in some areas you can be seen from the outside world so have a robe or a towel handy! The staff is rather grumpy I have to say some smell real nasty because they come back " fresh" from their cigarette break. I love this oasis next to the park and conveniently located next to train stations, and miss it or sauna, the traditional way dearly in the states!

The restaurant and bar are reasonably priced and they offer a good variety of beverages and food. happy hour from 7-8 PM is available with 50% off regular price drinks. Staff is nice, we had an issue with the shower in our room and the hotel manager moved us to another room and sent us a bottle of champagne which was very nice of her. Robes and baskets with towels are offered in the room for the spa and pools. They have tanning beds available as well. It is the biggest hotel in this area and reservations are a must.

Bathrobes looked like they were from 1950. We were excited for a 5 course dinner at their restaurant but the food was terrible, service was terrible and the fish for the main course wasn't fully cooked. The owner of the establishment offered a different fish after we waited for about an hour. One of the people in our party no longer wanted fish after the long wait but she didn't offer any alternatives to make it right. While the area is braiding I would not recommend this place given that you pay for 4 starts but get 2.

Oh my! What an experience!…read more This is a perfect palm paradise. Swimming pool/spa/sauna extravaganza. But I must say right now that most of it is nude. There are several different packages you can buy. Just the pool (textiles) or the vital thermen which includes pool, sauna, spa (textiles free). We opted for this. It cost €29 (+€3 extra as was bank holiday/weekend). You are given a watch like wrist band which enables you to enter certain areas. When entering, there is a sign in German which roughly translates to 'you must remove your textiles now (also no phones or photos after this point)'. Okay, drop the bathing suits, and after a few minutes of feeling a bit coy, you can release your inner mermaid and take pride in your body as everyone else around you is also in the nude! There is a bar in the pool. You can get cocktails, you can get coffees and drink them in the pool! Three glasses of prosecco please! You use your watch wrist band to pay for these - it tallies what you've spent and you pay at the end when you leave - very clever. The inside is amazing, albeit a little tacky. Huge palm trees surround all the many pools, along with plastic orchids! Lots of jacuzzi's and bubble streams. You can swim outside, it was freezing and raining, but so nice and warm under the water. I could imagine it being amazing if it were snowing, or equally in the sun. There are about 7 or 8 different saunas to choose from. From 60 degrees, up to 90 degrees. Japanese theme, Finnish, Moroccan, Viennese. All sorts. They also have infusionists shows. We saw a guy dressed like Mozart waft a towel around in the sauna. There was also a cinema sauna which was playing nature documentaries. Nothing like sitting in a sauna full of naked strangers watching armadillos trying to mate! There is a salt pool which has so much salt in it you literally float like in the Dead Sea. There is also a calcium-lithium pool which is good for your bones and wellbeing. We put our 'textiles' back on and went to the other pool and bar and enjoyed a pina colada in the jacuzzi. Just perfect!
