My Daughter and I came in December. She had gift certificates that were rejected. Worth about $350.00 We both had pedicures and manicures, Gel and Acrylic. I have mine nails done every month in Florida and this treatment was the worst I have ever had. Both of us had to go to another salon in Gig Harbor one week later, to have them redone and repaired because the polish peeled off and our nails split. Don't go there, not only was it a bad application you will be surrounded by 2-3 people working on you all at once. My usual appointments take 2 hours. This one we were done in 45 minutes ;-((( Not a fun or relaxing experience. Never again! read more

Horrible experience last time I visited. Specifically went for engagement shoot nails, which everyone knows when you're doing nails for a special occasion you want them to be perfect. Uncomfortable experience with my nail tech once she realized she couldn't bulldoze her nail colors and shapes over me and what I had in mind. I didn't even get to pick out my color, so once I asked to see some it all went downhill from there. she (literally) huffed and puffed the entire time! When I asked about chrome as I've never had it before she almost gave up and left the table as she didn't understand that I wanted it but simply wanted to know the steps of what to expect. At the very end, she overcharged me at the counter. Another employee intervened and while I do not speak the language the two squabbled about the price I should pay... I know that much. I would not even give it a star after the service we received. Our pedicure lasted 20 minutes if that. Scrub was a joke. Massage was barely a few min if you can even call it a massage. It was more like rubbing some lotion on my legs. We got there as soon as they opened up at 9 and there were no other clients in the salon the whole time we were there. I paid $76 for 2 pedicures that lasted 20 minutes and that we could have easily done ourselves at home. We were looking forward to some pampering and a relaxing time but instead had a terrible experience! So disappointing! read more

Upon walking in you get this rushed feeling. my teenage daughter and her friend got a $30 "pedicures" that didn't include any foot soak, cuticle removal or anything. Just a $30 polish change. My daughter booked pedicures for us for my birthday. The entire pedicure was 25 minutes maybe even 23min We didn't ask for a speedy service and it was very disappointing we have been here several times over the years and have always supported Kathy but when you get a 25 min pedicure and it's $33 per person that ridiculous. Even after asking why it was so short they just didn't address it ignored the question. It's definitely a clean environment but our service should have been 45-50 min each not 25 min. Super great bunch of ladies here. Even hooked my husband on pedicures (thank God); they made him feel so comfortable. Nina is the ONLY person that has ever been able to keep acrylic nails on me for an extended period of time. Salon is super clean and niceky decorated. They also have a lash and brow business upstairs PLUS they do some hair things. I've also had my eyebrows dyed here. Overall great place! read more

I had a pretty good experience here for a first time customer. I use dip on my nails and they have a very large selection which was nice. They also took time to do the dip correctly which I've been to other places who have no idea what they are doing. I also got a pedicure which was very nice. Their chairs are not as comfortable as some places but the establishment was very cute and I loved all the decor. The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because I felt rushed to leave. I asked several times to make sure my toes were dry because I got my nails done for a military ball and because she rushed me out my pedicure was ruined. Which means I have to go back somewhere to get my toes redone. :( read more

I wish I could give less than a whole star. Had gone in two times before and had an okay experience. I believe in giving something time before forming any opinion. But I must say that three was unfortunately the charm. I called the night before for a Saturday afternoon pedicure and acrylic fill appointment and never got a return call. Okay fine, things happen. I call Saturday late morning to see if there is anytime available in the afternoon and I'm told yes, there is a 3:15, and I say thank you see you then. I arrive at exactly 3:15pm. I am SO ready for this pedicure. That's my bliss/decompress time I look forward to every time. I get my feet into the water, adjust the seat and am just about to turn on the massage option (never get to), when the manicurist arrives with a pillow, towel and the coreless Dremel and proceeds to begin stripping the polish off my nails. Now the woman working on my feet is adjusting the massage and pedicure so as not to cause my knees to move. I'm irritated. I really look forward to the pedicure and this was an appointment. I didn't just walk in off the street and ask if they had time to fit me in. I look up at the clock and I make a comment about how they must have a 4pm coming in, to which they say yes. I ask them that had I known that they did not have the time to give me, I would have made an appointment for another time. They both tell me something about there not being enough staff on and they just keep going. Again, why make an appointment if you can't take care of your client. I finally just look at the woman doing my, very lousy, ten minute pedicure and say that I'm not enjoying what she is doing and am unable to relax and I want her to just stop and paint my toe nails. Which she does. Meanwhile the manicurist is just oblivious and keeps right on working on the dremeling/filing. We finally make it over to her station and I got one of the worst fill/paint jobs I have ever received. It was a lumpy/bumpy uneven mess. They charged me full price for what I got. I paid it but I will NEVER go back and I strongly encourage anyone reading this to find someplace else to go. They will not be getting an referrals from me. Find someplace else to go. Had a long awaited manicure and pedicure today and it was spectacular! Last time I had these services was one year ago, thanks to the "crazy Covid!" The shop was well prepared with more than adequate staff (Linda, Nancy and Tina) and clean barriers and chairs which were constantly disinfected and cleaned. I feel wonderful! I have been going to VIP nails for years. They are simply the best! Usually easy to get an appointment. Very professional. I do 'powder dip' nails and Kathy is fantastic. They last forever (about 3 weeks) and look like they were just done the entire time. Their pedicures are a real value. Most everything is included in the basic pedicure. read more

My shellac manicure and pedicure lasted a mere 9 days...went back in with chipped and peeling nails...was told it had been too long and I washed my hands too much. Refused to do them again, unless I paid again. I will NOT be back. My shellac polish normally lasts 3 weeks, even on vacation and in a pool everyday! Let alone if I wash my hands! The girls all working one by one all looked at my nails and spoke Vietnamese to one another as if I was lying. There is now a hair salon upstairs and a tattoo parlor upstairs! They have excellent service and are always happy to fix any errors. I love their VIP Room, where you can book up to 4 pedicures in a private room. Love that private option. They use really good product and very sterile tools as well. I've been going in here for years, mostly for waxing services. I have recommended them to many ppl, because the waxing prices are fair. The last few times ive been in the quality of care has diminished. I just left there after having my legs waxed. I was there two weeks ago for a bikini wax. A new girl charged me more than their set price, I double checked the pamphlet at yhe checkout, and when I asked her about it she said that the pamphlets were old. I played her, even tipped her generously as I always do the other girls, but I won't be back. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 3 pedicures a week in advance. They were 25 minutes behind and once we finally started, they told us they had run out of hot or warm water, so we had COLD water pedicures. Not good for a first time visit. We will not be returning. read more

Amazing and professional service. I have went to two doctors in the past to have blemishes removed around my eyes and they did not do it. The owner of VIP nails had a special laser and license to remove skin tags, moles, etc. She removed them perfectly and my face is smooth and blemish free. I have also had shellac and pedicures done at VIP nails multiple times, they have turned out exactly as I want them every time and last longer than expected. I had had decent pedicures here in the past. However today I had the worst manicure I have ever had. My nails are filed all crooked and look horrible. One of them has already broken because of the way she filed them - and I had them done less than 7 hours ago! They also smell like chemicals - something I've never experienced before. One of the best nail places I've ever been too! Atmosphere is great! My nail tech was awesome, and it was relieving seeing clean utensils being used from individualized sterile packaging. I hate writing reviews like this, especially after hearing so many good things about this place! I went in to get dipping powder done, and was not even greeted as I came in. Being new to this salon made it a bit intimidating, especially because they were slow at this time. They started my manicure by TEARING my previous manicure of with clippers which was very painful. I've never been to a salon where they did not soak the powder off... she then proceeded to file my nails down where she had ripped them from the clippers and didn't even bother to make sure the filing was done evenly on both hands. The salon is very clean and has privacy options if you want to have a couples pedicure in a separate room. There is a nice waiting area with plush couches and is very inviting.
