Great service this is my go to cleaners since I live in the city of Downey But if you are looking for same day drop for any special occasion this is NOT the place to go to I been here on three different occasions and Each time they had an excuse to why they can't do same day service. The " machine is down" or some other excuse. I just don't want no one taking time like I did to leave work and drop off some clothes for same day service just to hear an excuse. read more

THEY STEAL AND/OR DONATE YOUR CLOTHES THAT YOU PAY EXTRA TO BE CLEANED!!!! HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES! - BEWARE! The owner, Irma, does not know how to maintain relationships with customers. Irma does not value communication - No communication of their policies, which they really should do for all new customers. If they have such a strict 30 day policy to get rid of clothes that have not been picked up then they should be communicating out this strict policy to all customers!!!!! Take your money elsewhere! They throw your clothes out for donations (honestly I think Irma benefits from this, especially with the finer items) and provide NO notification to pick up your clothes. They absolutely do not tell their customers this. They do not do their due diligence by calling their customers to remind to pick up, NOTHING! What is the point of taking down your customers phone number if you don't plan to use it when you have a clear connection between a piece of clothing, a ticket number and the customers phone number?! The owner of the business here does not care about the customer AT ALL & did NOTHING to try to make things right. She even refused to tell me her name, though claiming they are the owner. Have some empathy and imagine what it feels like for your customer to have to take on a loss for a quality dress that was over $300 + costs of tailoring! I am warning you - Take your business elsewhere. Despite Irma's response saying that I was contacted - she is an absolute LIAR!!! In fact, she told me "I don't have the time to call everyone who leaves their clothes. What do you think this is- a storage?" When I confronted her with my frustration she never once said they tried to contact me like she is saying now on her yelp response! She had the worst customer service and could care less about the customer experience. I have come to this cleaner TWICE and both times I have left so angry and disappointed. I really regret coming back that 2nd time. They 100% do NOT inform you about their policy. This company overall lacks communication with their customers - AVOID this dishonest and lazy business. When I moved over here, I dropped off an expensive tailored blazer (this was over $500) and some other clothes to be dry cleaned. When it was time to pick up our items, they didn't even mention that my blazer was missing. It wasn't until we brought it up, we were told that they needed to search for it and they'd call us back. Weeks pass, and we hear nothing from them. We go back, and they tell us they "are still looking for it" and they will bring all the blazers in so I can search for it. Weeks pass again, and we hear nothing. I call them again, they do this about 4 more times. It got to the point where I asked to be compensated for this blazer. We agree that they will buy me a new blazer in the beginning of Sept. At the end of Oct I follow up again, asking for the status on the blazer since it was ordered online, to be told it will be here in the first week of November. Finally, at the end of November after not hearing back I ask for an update again. They finally tell me I can come get it at the dry cleaner but at this point it is now December. Several times I voiced my frustrations but the worst part is the lack of urgency for them to rectify the situation or take accountability. If you lost it, then try to make it right not just play a game of "we might find your blazer eventually". It took 6 months for them to get me a replacement blazer and this was just disappointing to the point where we found a new dry cleaner since we could no longer trust them. read more

Long time customer of VIP cleaners and have spent hundreds here. Overall, they lost a valued customer due to consistent issues with workmanship and poor quality of service. Heres a breakdown of my review: -1 Star for value: This cleaners is one of the most expensive in Downey. Their prices are not competitive and they do not offer any discounts for military, first responders, or large quantities of clothes. I was originally happy to pay a higher price for convenience and quality however their issues with workmanship have forced me to drive back and forth to the cleaners to pick up fixed items they failed to get right the first time. If your looking for value I recommend shopping around as there are cheaper cleaners in LA. -2 workmanship: I took in my Army OCP uniform to get altered and sown with my rank and name tapes. On my first uniform the seamstress sewed the rank on sideways. I gave the cleaners pictures and the rank was Velcrod on to prevent any mistakes. However I let them fix this and I trusted them again by brining in another uniform a few months later for sewing. Again the seamstress sewed my rank on sideways. At this point I wasn't even angry I was just greatly disappointed that no thought or effort was given in to preventing this same issue from happening again. It also just felt disrespectful to see my uniform returned to me in the way it was twice (like if I was getting punked). My time was also wasted as both times I had to return again the next day to pick up my uniform. Also I got home and I found tons of loose threads on the altered points. I had to cut these myself as I needed to wear the uniform to report for duty. -1 burned buttons and ties: I got back a tie that was frayed from heat and button burns in my shirts. If this business is actually interested in improving. I would recommend they simply start by offering a military and first responders discount for future customers that serve the community. Until then I will be taking my money elsewhere and recommending my peers to do the same. read more

I was in my hometown for a little and needed to have my winter fur jacket cleaned. There was vodka cranberry on one side of the winter fur jacket that was sticky so I dropped this jacket off here and asked them if they could clean fur and specifically about that one sticky spot. I picked it up a few days later, and that spot where the vodka cranberry had spilled on was still sticky. I took it back in and they had it cleaned within the day. What was the whole point of the initial conversation where I asked him if they could clean fur and about the specific stick spot just to receive my jacket and have it still be sticky and ask them to do it again. I'm not sure. On top of that, after receiving my fur jacket, the fur seemed less sturdy as if the fur was shedding. I understand that fur jackets will have wear and tear but the fur after they cleaned that spot was more fragile. I don't recommend taking your furs here. Maybe simple dry cleans sure but I will not take my winter fur jacket to get cleaned here again. read more

A few months ago my boyfriend needed his dress clothes dry cleaned for a real-estate meeting and needed a quick/reliable location. By the way my boyfriend is very nit picky. Now, that being said! We love our new location for all our dry cleaning needs. They are also very honest, I recently just placed a photo of them returning money my boyfriend had left in one of the pant pockets. Yesterday i brought 3 pants for hem and would want to pick them up today.A guy gave me a receipt for $9.. 10 mins after a lady called and said it would be $30 because they had to dry clean them too. I said no.. no dry clean only for hem. She said ok so $3 each then. I just picked them up few mins ago.. they still charged me $30 anyway :( I asked if those included dry clean.. she said no. I brought my custom made shirt and suit to be pressed, that's all just to be ironed. Mined you the shirt and suit were brand new and had never been worn. I told the gentleman at the counter how important this outfit was and he assured me that they would take care of my outfit and not to worry. Two days later I returned to pick up my clothes and I discovered two black stains on each of the shoulders of the shirt. I brought the shirt back they apologize and they told me that they would make it right. One day later I returned to pick up my shirt ($300 custom made shirt) and notice both stains had been removed and the material on the shirt as well. Turns out they did not dry clean the shirt again, from the looks of it apparently they took something and scrub the shirt and pulled fabric off of the shirt in the process . I expressed my concern and the young lady at the counter stated the manager was out off town and would call me back! No call back as of yet! Shirt is destroyed. Extremely disappointed and upset!
