I know this particular pain clinic is a bit of a chain, but was advised to stay in northern Va locations, even after moving to Richmond. As a nurse, I've heard horror stories about pain clinics for years, but this location has so far been nice. No medication changes to the regimen I've been on for years at this point, the office staff is pleasant and professional. The doctor I liked has moved to Maryland, so will be getting used to someone else again. The waiting room is small, but comfortable, the appointments tend to run on time. You must keep up with all payments, and don't miss your appointment if you can help it. All in all, it's been a good experience so far.

She seemed familiar with my situation but still asked questions and listened, never rushing me. She maintained a great dialogue with me throughout her testing process on my hand, walking me through what she was doing and explaining what she was finding. I was a heptathlete from age 10 to 24 and twenty plus years later have much arthritis throughout my spine knee and shoulders to show for it. I've survived 2 car crashes into my car and a moving truck collision headon into a tree during a bad storm in which I suffered broken teeth and severe soft tissue injuries, sjc joint dislocation and vertebral strains that took over a year to treat and still being treated. I've had about 12 surgeries over the years to include my back and knee. So I understand pain from patient's perspective very well and how it can take over your life. I understand pain because of my Masters degree in biology: molecular science. Dr. Greene knows how what to do to get you back to your goals. I hope you will get to be seen by Dr. Greene. I considered Suboxone because nothing else was working. My mistake. I talked to a Suboxone prescriber and he got the wrong impression because I didn't tell him the whole story. He sent a letter saying more or less that I was an addict. I'm not. If I were I wouldn't have sar in my apt for over a month in daily Pain. I talked to the Suboxone prescriber again and told him the whole story. He then agreed Suboxone is not what I need. I'm not an addict. I need medication because I've tried everything else. Now Dr Kendall refuses to prescribe me anything. It looks like I have a long miserable road ahead. I also had to quit both of my jobs due to no pain relief. Just be very careful what you do and who you talk to. Don't make my mistake. ​​

I ultimately decided to continue care with and in-network provider but getting records from VSI was a pain. They have an online patient portal with mostly empty tabs. I called to request my xrays and they can't upload them so I requested a CD to pickup. The CD wasn't ready when they said it would be and I had to wait 15 min for it. For my original appointment most of the few bins of snacks for patients were empty. Not a big deal, but shows poor management. I used them years ago and had a good experience, which is why I went back, but my opinion has changed
