No hot drinks on the flight No room in the lockers above exit row seats - these should be dedicated to the passengers in these seats as they are not allowed their bags on the floor! Morbidly obese man in the exit row 140k plus - these seats as well as a lower age restriction should have an upper age restriction and a weight limit as morbidly obese people more often than not have a movement restriction due to their size! read more

I love Virgin. Yes, it's relative, not absolute, but I don't care. Where Jetstar have left me anxiously trying to circumnavigate unclear processes and systems that don't gel, Virgin made all processes streamlined. People weren't afraid to escalate if the situation called for it. I have encountered several staff who go "above and beyond" (sorry?) in situations that were quite stressful. I added up the hidden costs with Jetstar, and found Virgin to be much better value (by several factors). I'll always be a Virgin flier. read more

I didn't fly Virgin Australia but did have a reservation for a flight we missed due to mechanical difficulties on our connecting flight. Don't expect getting a refund from this airline. We paid to upgrade seats on this flight but since we missed the flight you would think they would have refunded the fee we paid. I have been put through a total run around to get our $230 back. I get told something different every time I call and they don't allow you to talk to whomever can issue refunds. It is a total joke and so unprofessional for such a large company. I urge everyone to think twice before handing over your money. read more

I don't even want to give one star- the worst airline in Australia . They don't have enough planes and so always massive delays - never a gate announcement , just leaving us sitting here hostage. We know there is a curfew at the destination airport and so if the incoming flight is any later , ours cannot run. We know this yet no-one at their desk (outside security) can tell us the exact arrival time of the incoming plane ... you would think they should know. Every. Single. Flight I have caught with these idiots has been delayed - not due to weather but because they cannot plan and predict plane loads and needs - do. not. waste. your. money. read more

We bid for an upgrade from Los Angeles to Brisbane. We did not get the upgrade but they went ahead and charged our credit card. We have repeatedly requested an refund but have not even received a response to a request for our refund. This has been a going on three weeks and over 5 calls and multiple emails without even ONE response or acknowledgement to our refund request even though we have supplied supporting documentation...AND I have also included the customer service EXECUTIVE in the emails. The flights and crew were great to fly with but we were charged for a upgrade we never received. Our credit card company said this is not the first time they have seen them do this. BEWARE of bidding for an upgrade with Virgin Australia! read more
