To access the personal bankers you need to queue that the can I help desk (which isnt clear if a member of staff is not there!). Dont just sit down stand and wait to get your name on the list to be seen. Although in genrel all the pay in desks are open it takes a while to be seen. But the staff are friendly and helpful which makes it a better experience

But the service there is great, the queues go don fast as there is always plenty of staff on the tills. The staff are always very polite and friendly to. They have 4 cash machines outside and another 3 inside.

This branch is nicely placed in the middle of the high street so easy to get to when you are out…read moreshopping with out having to walk miles to the furthest end of the high street then across a road then some more walking etc. There is sometimes a small queue to see the cashiers but there are also atms to use inside and out, and if there are long queues the staff from the rooms at the back come to help as well. The staff are smiley and helpful but could be a little more chatty. The automatic door is a pain as it is so slow to open and the door way is quite narrow.

I usually use larger branches in Braintree and Chelmsford town centre which, though relatively efficient, are somehat impersonal. How refreshing then to stumble upon this branch! It is 'manned' by two ladies who clearly remember what old fashioned 'service' is. Far from taking my cheque and putting it to one side to pay to my account later in the day, I found that my cheque was taken and I was asked to wait and ensure it had gone into my account properly. I was then asked if I needed anything else and had a pleasant chat about the weather! I have to say it all took 5 times longer that my usual visits but I came out with a smile on my face . and a positive feeling about Barclays! If you have the time pay a visit :0)

This bank is on the high street, it a large modern bank. With 3 cash machines outside and another 2…read moreinside in the bank. All of the staff seem to be very helpful and polite. The queues move very quickly as theres many tills. If you want to set up an account or borrow money thay take you to a seperate room so other customers cant hear all your details etc. Very good service here.
