A…read moreyoung sales girl directed me to the men's section and informed me that the sale at Lancel started earlier and pointed me to some bags that were 50% off. I chose one and was ready to pay when her manager came over and spoke to the salesgirl in French. The salesgirls then told me that her manager said the sales hasn't started and asked me if I was willing to pay full price. I said it was fine, I can return the next day. I was ok for a salesgirl to make an occasional mistake, but I was taken aback by the manager's attitude towards me. She didn't say anything to me, but just glowered rather fiercely at me as if it was my fault. She didn't say sorry or thank me for my understanding. Quite a bad customer experience for a brand which is trying to position as a midrange luxury. In the end, I did return to buy the bag during the sales but I went to a different branch instead.
