The church calendar is filled with so many activities that you really need to plan for each week. I can imagine how busy must Fr. George and Fr. Krzysztoff be. I am so gratefull to both as well as the Deacon who kindly steps in to assist. The Lenten season has been filled with varieties of activities and prayers that help the parisioners to grow in holiness. It is a joy to be part of the St. Thomas Parish Family. It is important to worship with such welcoming parishoners as the one at this church. I love Fr. George and Pastor Krzysztof homilies. I am grateful for so many Reconciliation opportunities, especially during the Lenten Season. The church Bulletin is quite informative. The many Programs offered to the parishoners amazing. Diverse group of people which is important to me. The church supports a large food pantry across the street which is opened in Saturday mornings. Also very important. Not only community involvement but also supports Trucks of convoy (I think that's the name) which helped people done with after that really bad hurricane last year (2022). His center is beautiful and I've seen it grow into a very compassionate and loving community of people working together for peace, love and spiritual healing on all levels. Drupon just finished building his large teaching shrine room for teachings and gatherings. There are retreat huts and private retreats available. I'm excited to go to The Centers big celebration soon for the blessing of the new shrine room. Practices and teachings are available for all on a weekly basis. They are led by Drupon Rinpoche and his partner, meditation instructor & translator Virginia Blum, along with other senior leaders in the community. The coming weekend is set up for many sacred ceremonies. Check it out for early registration. Also a good place to get away for personal retreat in one of the retreat huts on the property. My most recent interaction was a service for my grandmother. Small and simple. My grandparents were Catholic and I remember going to church with them when I was a child. John refers to the church service as familiar and comforting. For me, it's a reminder of times from my childhood. Familiar yes. I appreciate religious institutions and the benefit to those in the community who utilizes them. I wish the service was more personal, but I have no idea how often my grandmother even attended church over the last few years. I am grateful for the service, as it provided comfort for my family.

Before St Anne's, we attended large congregations where its easy to get lost in the shuffle. We also saw modern flashiness sneak in more and more. Not at St Anne's! The Divine Liturgy is mysterious and ancient. It feels like we are a part of something much greater than ourselves, and we feel humbled and grateful every Sunday. The priest and his family are from Ukraine. They are very genuine, and the homilies (sermons) are very sincere and thought-provoking. Almost every Sunday, a light breakfast is available after Divine Liturgy. And probably about once a month, there is a communal potluck corresponding to a feast day.
