The second surgery was done in Sioux Falls at Opthalmology Limited. I was diagnosed with Wet MD this August & have had eye injections done by Dr. Thomas. The last two injections have been done in Mitchell at the Mabee Eye Clinic. The appointments are run like a well oiled clock. Yesterday, I left at 11:50 from work, had the scan, eye test & injection. I was back at work at 12:30. Great professionals and staff!

And then, on top of that, they tend to "try out" new non-formulary treatments (read expensive and not covered) without any real discussion with the patients. I wouldn't be surprised if there were financial incentives between the pharmacy sales representatives and clinics to push those instead of less expensive options that work as well. And their financial people seem to have difficulty with communication. They struggle getting even simple pre-authorizations and seem offended if you call with even a simple question. Their selection of frames was extremely limited and the staff were not helpful. I ended up with very expensive glasses with all the extras that I absolutely hate. When I called to get my pupil distance to order a different pair of glasses on line they refused to give me the information unless I ordered glasses from them. My response was I did order glasses from them, very expensive glasses, but I wasn't happy with them and wanted to order a different pair online. They refused to give me the information unless I ordered glasses through them. After my first experience where I wasted my annual insurance allotment I wasn't going to order through them again and told them I'd never be back. I then emailed them and asked them to email me a copy of my prescription which I paid for. No response! Absolutely terrible customer service unless you're buying your glasses from them and even then sub-par selection and service!

The first thing dr Rasmussen had me to do was a dry eye test which I failed miserably. He suggested restaysis and tear duct plugs. My previous doctor didn't even test for dry eyes. I also had LASIK vision correction and dr Rasmussen was so helpful and informative throughout the entire process. He is an excellent doctor and in this day and age when customer service is so lacking, it is nice to be well taken care of. I completely trust this doctor!
