Ian could see defects in the lenses of the latter pair and advised me to take them back. After a lot of discussion with them I was just not confident that I was going to get a proper solution from them so came back here for replacement lenses in a previous pair. Within a week I had new ultralight lenses, and I now have specs that are comfortable and work well. Thanks Ian !

The range on offer is good and the glasses are clearly displayed in price bands which makes it really easy to buy within your budget. They also sell sports eyeware and sunglasses as well. The customer service is spot on too. My mum took her prescription here and bought a pair of varifocals. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks she felt they were too narrow for her and wanted something with a wider lens. This was no problem and the guy let her choose another pair that were bigger and my mum just paid the difference in price between the new ones and the ones she had chosen originally. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my glasses now and have told lots of people to do the same too.

I really enjoy a bit of window shopping in this store as the make up department alone is huge,…read moreselling many different brands such as Ruby and Millie, No 7, Maybelline and Clinique. The services this store offers are very good, there is an optician, photo processing and pharmacy. This store also stock the mini mode range of baby clothes and a small selection of toys from the Early Learning Centre. Their range of fragrances for Men and Women is vast and they also do a good amount of the gift boxes which include the perfume and the body lotions aswell. They have a loyalty card which enables you to collect points which are then turned into cash to use on another visit. The amount of products you can use this incentive on is massive and many a time I have been able to use my points for Christmas presents. Very handy indeed. If you are a Mum you have to ask a member of staff to take you upstairs in the lift to the baby section, which can be quite a hard task and I have seen me stand there for well over ten minutes for someone to come and help me.

There is an escalator to the 2nd floor, but if you want to take the lift, you have to find a staff member to take you, as it's out the back. This is what lets this branch down. Guess what's upstairs - yes, baby stuff, so anyone with a buggy is going to struggle. Good service on photos and print your own. It also has a good opticians upstairs.

This shop is trying to appeal to the younger age range too and I know Carol Smillie has been modelling for them recently and you can buy some really nice tops and skirts that are not what you might stereotypically expect (ie not tartan!). There is a nice selection of biscuits, preserves, cakes, toiletries and other gift ideas and last Christmas they made up hampers with anything you wanted from the shop.
