I absolutely love my optometrist. She is very thorough and a great optometrist. I have never had any problems with my eye glass prescriptions or my contacts. She listens to my concerns and addresses them. I highly recommend Dr. Judy Velasco. The guy who works in the front is always so nice! The girls at the reception area are always cheerful and ready to help. They also had all my copays ready and let me know what today would cost ahead of hand. That to me is amazing customer service. I love knowing what my copays are because no one likes to receive a bill later. Super clean office and very organized. First of all, I have struggled to even get a decent prescription with their optometrists. They are unfamiliar with anything more than basic eye issue. Second, we purchased the insurance for the glasses and were told at the time that it covered them if they were lost or damaged. My husband lost his glasses and then we are told "oh sorry it does't cover if you lose them". NEVER going back EVER!!! read more

Customer service representative called and was extremely rude on confirmation of appointment that had already been confirmed with email and text. Stated I was going to be considered a walk-in due to not responding to her phone call. When I arrived on my confirmed appointment time I had received a text message rescheduling for a later time. There should be some education on customer service. If I had talked to her I would of cancelled all together due to her being rude. read more

I've been coming to this location for a few years now within the last year and a half I have discovered I need to wear glasses what I never needed before, The doctor was very informative and the staff was very friendly and helpful in helping me figure out which glasses fit perfectly on my face and suited my style. With a Vascoray of glass frames to choose from And reasonably priced I was able to locate a pair of Lacoste glasses which I absolutely love and I've received lots of compliments on the only downfall is the time it took for my glasses to be completed but I'll than that it's a great place to go I would recommend them read more

They do not accept any medical insurance so they charged me $115 for them to take a look at my daughters eye and confirm that her contact was not in her eye. Outrageous. read more

Made an appointment two months ago at Visionworks at spectrum mall. That was the soonest they had. After waiting two months and getting several text messages to remind me of my upcoming appointment, even the day of. I walk in for my appointment and they took me back and told me they didn't have a doctor in for the day!!!! no calls!! no nothing!! I wasted my day and they wanted to reschedule two months out again!!! This place sucks!! Horrible customer service!! Don't ever go here!!! I had my eyes done here a couple years ago, and all I need is some new lenses! My sight hasn't even changed and they won't even replace them without a 79. Eye exam again!! Ive been coming here since coming here was available and now that its available i come here all the time when availability is open. I love the doctor she is so nice & the other doctors as well ive seen a few but i really try to shoot for the main doctor . Customer service is what the customers should receive when its their money that they are spending at their store . Very nice and well spoken reps and dr.office staff . Prices are fair on frames . I usually just do it and get nikes or some perry'z .. So make a appointment and stop squinting while driving and endangering us all get you some contacts or glasses . Receiving good quality customer service is always a pleasure. My wife and I recently paid a visit to Visionworks in the Tucson Spectrum for our annual eye exams. From the moment we entered the store we were met with polite greetings; we were not ignored. The examination staff there was prompt, professional and most of all, informative about our treatment options. This had been a problem for us at other locations in the past and as customers, it was frustrating not being informed about cost-saving options that were available to us, until after the appointments were over. There were other customers in the store during our visit, but never once did either of us feel like "just a number" we felt welcome there. We were both fortunate to be assisted by Ms. Claudia Cardenas, who we later learned was the store's General Manager. She was able to find great eyeglass options for us, well within our budget. She spent the extra time with us to be sure that the fit and style of them was nothing short of fantastic. Additionally, our eyeglasses were finished and ready for pick-up, prior to the promised date. Upon our return to the store, we were again treated very well by the entire staff. I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not getting the names of the entire staff who took care of us that day, they deserve favorable recognition. I trust that Ms. Cardenas will pass on these comments to them. This type of professionalism speaks highly for all these individuals and Visionworks as a whole. Upon entering, I was greeted and someone said they'd be right with me. After about 5 min, I was asked if I had an appointment and after saying yes, I was directed to the doctor's office in the back. Liliana? was cordial but I did have to fill out paperwork I'd already done online. Dr. Patel was really nice, informative and took his time. However, he mentioned drops he would give me for my dry eyes but I think he forgot, as did I. The people in the front, giving customer service for glasses were helpful too. The young man helped me first, pricing out everything but Debra ended up ringing me up. I think I got a good deal as I just needed to put lenses in a frame I found and replace a scratched lense. I also got a 6 month supply of contacts but after reviewing my insurance some things seem incorrect but I suppose that's my fault for not knowing or correcting when it occurred. read more

My last visit was a disaster. I have my check-up at a low vision specialist. I have gone to Visionworks for glasses. When I picked up my glasses they did not seem right. After going back for the second time to get them adjusted, I hac them check the prescription. The right lens was wrong. Got that replaced and tried to get them adjusted again. I finally went to my specialist to get them adjusted. The doctor said they had never seen such poor lens. The bifocal was too low and one was slanted. At least Visionworks refunded my money. read more

I went in after going 3 years without having a new prescription. My insurance doesn't cover glasses or eye exams so I was trying to find an affordable place and came across this on yelp. I made an appointment and went in. They were very thorough and did 3 tests before I even had the eye exam. The optometrist was also very thorough and took her time, which is rare with optometrists. I only paid $40 for the exam and after I had someone help while I looked at the glasses. They had a 2 for $59 special and I took advantage! I found 2 pairs that were beautiful and that qualified for the 2 for $59. I need to thin my lenses out and after paying for polycarbonate lenses I ended up paying a total of $134 for both pairs, which is amazing since most frames cost that much anyway. Definitely will be going back here for all my needs. read more

Literally the worst experience I've ever had in a vision clinic. The machines they use are outdated, the Drs are old and show signs of dementia and lack communication. I ordered my contacts and it took 2 and a half months to get the TRIALS. I tried to come in and they couldn't quickly give them to me without an appointment, which took more time. Not only that but I've waited 30 minutes past my appointment to be seen when I have places to be. I also had great vision insurance and somehow they managed to scam me 400$ out of me. The lady in the back is rude when I was having trouble putting my contacts in, she just let me struggle instead of helping me, and now it's gonna take additional months to get my regular contacts. I highly recommend NOT going here. read more

I love the optometrist. She is amazing. The only problem is the rest of the employees. They always seem it be in a bad mood I've been coming here for years and I've always put up with it because finding somewhere new with a good optometrist is such a hassle. But I no longer care. I choose to no longer put up with it. No I won't be emailing vision works. Nor do I want to. This is for future customers. If you are okay and don't mind the rude employees who seem like they don't want to be there, employees who have become more bitter over the years and are tired of their job then look no further because this is the place. Especially Claudia. Other than that, not worth it. My parents and I are going somewhere else. They only seem to be nice to each other. read more

We came to Visionworks and they treated her with patience and explained what the problem was, thoroughly reviewed her options, and got her a pair that fit her needs. SCAMMING patients. Visited 3 months ago for ANNUAL check up and got a prescription for 12 months for Restasis. Suddenly Walgreens won't refill my prescription and I get a voicemail from Visionworks (before I can even call them to see what's going on) telling me that they have a new eye doctor at that location and I'll need to come back in - 9 months early and pay again - to continue my prescription that I received for 12 months 3 months ago. So they essentially cancelled my prescription 9 months early to try and force another office fee out of me. Aside from requiring me to pay for another annual visit completely out of pocket - my insurance won't cover it again this soon bc its 9 MONTHS early - I have since moved over 3 hours away and can't go back to that specific location - especially with the pandemic going on. I explained all of this to the office staff, then again to the manager over the phone and they still won't allow my prescription to be refilled unless I physically come back in to that location. I will now have to go pay out of pocket for another annual checkup with a new eye doctor in my current location bc they suddenly cancelled my prescription for Restasis 9 months early but I can tell you I will not be going to ANY VisionWorks locations because they're obviously scamming their patients for office fees. Me and my son made an appointment for eye exam, end up end up getting prescription glasses , but after 2 weeks of wearing my glasses i started seeing dark spots and lightning in my vision, i called to see if i can come back to see the doctor or do i need to go see a specialist, the lady who answered got my information and said they will call me back as soon as possible, it's been a month and no call.i have already went to see another doctor.i don't recommend this place. read more

I needed to order new contact lenses and my optometrist had retired so I gave visionworks a shot. The soonest appointment I could get was 3 weeks out. Since they were the closest eye care company I waited for the appointment. Since I was a new patient, after I had my eyes checked, I had to come back to a second appointment so the visionworks optometrist could tell me yea this contact style I had been using for the past decade or more was suitable and only then would they release my prescription so I could order the lenses. Well, the next appt was over 2 weeks out, and they only gave me 5 days worth of contacts to wear! I couldn't order any until they released my perscription, and that would take another week or more. I simply asked them to help me out and cover me with the extra contact lenses I needed to get me through the days I'd be without. And Visionworks policy is NO, they will not make sure I can see. Visionworks will not make sure I have contact lenses to wear, until my order comes in. Even though the long delays were due to their appointments. I don't mind waiting, but I do have to be able to see. Between the delay in the appointments, and the delays in ordering and releasing my perscription. It will be well over a month before I am able to get an order of new contacts received. I called main head quarters to see about their policies, and they were RUDE, and hung up on me. They didn't like that I was questioning their policy of only allowing 5 days worth of contacts per client. If the appointments are so stretched out, due to visionworks scheduling , why should the client suffer, and be made to wait these ridiculous amounts of time to simply order lenses to be able to see. All I needed were enough daily contact lenses to wear so I could see, until my long delayed orders could be ordered and received. Visionworks acts as if contact lenses are rare and made of gold. Completely ridiculous. Steer clear of the behemoth corporate businesses. They are only looking to take care of themselves, and damm the client. By the way, they took my money on day one. I went here for some prescription sunglasses. The selection is not bad. I raided the Rayban section because it was basically the only place I could find glasses that didn't squeeze my head. I like to have my glasses wider so I don't get headaches when I wear them. When I first sat down with the technician she tried to upsell a ton of things. Either learn to say no or just give in, like me! No but really, my vision in general is pretty bad so my lenses tend to be on the thicker side. I caved in and got their thinnest lens available and I could certainly tell the difference in weight and comfort. I'm so glad I purchased that option. Visionworks called me when my glasses were ready, as promised, and even though they were short staffed they handled it with amazing customer service. I never once felt forgotten about like I have at other eye glasses shops. Thank you Visionworks, you have gained a customer who will return. read more

I can't say anything negative on the optometrist at this location since I only went in to order contacts. I went in on a Friday not knowing that you can't just purchase your contacts that same day you have to place an order which could take anywhere from 7-10 days. It's been three full weeks and no one has followed up with me to give me the status my order, so of course I tried calling numerous times and could not get a live person or leave a message. I ended up sending an email to the help desk on the website and they had someone (forget the lady's name) call me back within 24 hours. She informed that my order had been lost by UPS (they never called to let me know) that she had to submit another order which would take another "5 days" to arrive. The disappointing thing is the lack of communication and it sounded like she was upset with me because I wanted an update on my order. I just asked her to cancel my order and refund my card, she said that was fine and didn't apologize or anything for the inconvenience, had she said sorry please stop by for a few samples for the meantime, it would of been different but she could careless if I was please or not. read more
