It worked exactly as they said it would making quick work of 12 bare root fruit tree holes (28" in diameter) and 8 post 10" in diameter. It was easy. Next venture was to rent a tractor with three point hitch to plant seedlings. The rate was reasonable allowing us from Sat afternoon to Monday am & we got 1000 seedlings planted efficiently. Training for the tractor was included! The CSRs at the counter were very helpful and didn't Chuckle at our questions. Very patient guys for sure!

The guys who work here are friendly and knowledgeable, and the rental rates are reasonable. My only criticism would be their recommendation to wear rubber-coated fabric gloves while handling the Eel; apparently it's fairly common for the coil of the snake to catch fabric gloves, and the other half almost had two of his fingers broken when it happened. Wear leather gloves for this job! They also have a white cat named Snowball who presides over the place; he's at the awkward stage of growing out his summer buzz cut (he's long-haired and doesn't like to be brushed) but he's a handsome boy just the same.

There's still a few kinks they need to work out as they are new but it is a beautiful place. All the wood details and tables are handmade. All the lights, chandeliers and fire pits make it perfect at night. They have a wedding wall where they put all their bride and grooms names up...don't have a photo as they spelled my daughters name wrong(one of the kinks I was talking about). They have a lot of places for photos and a cute area to get married. There's private houses for the bridal party to get ready. To help work out some of the kinks...Make sure you go over what you agreed on over and over even if you think it's minimal. A few things were agreed on then became a problem the night of which no one wants to go through on their big night. They all could've been avoided easily in the set up meeting but They are still a newer venue and we lost about the last hour of our reception dealing with things that we shouldn't have had to. If it hadn't been for this and a couple other things I would definitely give 5 stars.

That being said, you do need to watch young children because Escapades is not a babysitting service. You can think you are the best parent ever and then find your older child in the baby area or climbing on the outside of the equipment anyway, just because someone else's child had the idea and yours thought hey, why not? There is always risk of injury at any playground and the staff at Escapades are extremely busy checking kids in, making food, and taking care of the arcade in addition to cleaning up the messes so many people leave behind. Watch your own children.

We received so many compliments from our guests about the food. They were so easy to work with. Street parking, plus a lot across the street with what might be another small venue. Walked in and: wow. They have kept a lot of the patina of the old building, but redesigned the spaces and added interesting touches. Very cool. Perfect for a small wedding, maybe a concert, etc. The ceremony and reception were both there; they reconfigured it while we had a cocktail hour upstairs. So many nooks and crannies, plus sweeping views, and lots of good places to hang out and talk. Really worked well. Sound was good, lots of natural light plus their own lights. Staff were excellent: friendly, professional, helpful, unobtrusive. We had a really great time. I would definitely recommend this for events in the area.
