I had an amazing experience here. I came by on a weekday afternoon for a smog check (I was concerned about not having an appt). Koko (Greg) greeted me very warmly, & told me that he could help. He welcomed me to sit down, while he performed the test. He was quick & efficient, but conversed with me periodically, so I felt welcomed. Koko has such a warm presence about him; I felt like I was among family. Being a woman, I sometimes feel uncomfortable at some of these places, as I feel like I'm viewed & treated differently. Definitely not the case at Vista Test. Koko treated me like a daughter, and got me out quickly so that I could go on with my day. The place was clean, had comfortable seating, a TV to watch, and it didn't smell like grease monkey (like most places do). Additionally, their price was extremely fair. I was lucky to download a coupon from their website beforehand, which saved me a little money (always appreciated)! I highly recommend this place!! Don't forget to tip the technician as a kind gesture for their service. I will be recommending this place to others, and returning when needed. Googled "STAR smog check near me" with enabled location; printed coupon (which excludes SUVs) from some website and was able to get a smog check on my lunch break for $35 in what felt like no time flat. It's a bit hidden but it's right across from the Yamaha shop on Colorado. Kinda next to Denny's. Most importantly, I still have time left in my lunch hour even after running an errand for the more important and meaningful thing in life: eating. Pleased. Will be returning here. A month ago I actually submitted requests on Yelp for quotes and with coupon this is the best priced place. Not sure how much without coupon but a Yelp check in gets you 20% off. I needed a Smog Check to register my car and a favorite location for me, in Montrose, had closed. But I found Vista in a search and saw that the reviews were nearly 100% excellent, (only a couple of folks had problems but I found the issues petty) so I called a spoke with the owner, a very friendly fellow who gave me the out-the door price over the phone. I brought my car down to the shop a couple of hours later and the owner greeted me in a very friendly manner. He remembered my voice from the phone call. He told me he had a couple of cars ahead of me, but that it would not take long. He offered me coffee or water and told me how important water was for us. Just very friendly. He quickly finished the two cars ahead of me, treating everyone in the same friendly manner, then guided my car into the bay. Zip, Zip, Zip, and he was done. I had forgotten my wallet but was able to pay with my phone. No problem. My information was sent electronically to the CaDMV and I was done. Very pleasant.
