It's so close in fact that it is connected by an underground tunnel (no need to freeze your recently-relaxed body walking back and forth!). This alone is why the hotel is worth visiting. The Keidel facility is really wonderful (more on that in another review!). Check in was simple and we had the ability to reserve a seat for the buffet breakfast any of the days we were there. At €17/person the buffet includes German favorites including all kinds of salads, sliced wurst and meats, breads, yogurts, fruit, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and finally an omelette station. We had the buffet twice and though it's a bit steep a price for me (I'm tiny and don't eat a ton for breakfast), my fella was in heaven! Be warned- finding your room can be a bit tricky given that one of the elevators uses letters for each floor and another uses numbers (but our room in the 400s was on level 2...). Once you get the hang of it the room itself is lovely. Clean, updated, and very warm. I couldn't find a thermostat anywhere but after a tad-too-warm night we left the window cracked and the temp was perfect. The bathroom had a built-in hair dryer (yay!) and looked newly renovated. I was pleasantly surprised by the little box I found in the bathroom with a small array of toilet needs you may have forgotten (cotton swabs, q-tips, a nail file, etc). I'm told that the beds are German-style, but they took some getting used to. We were sharing a bed that was essentially two twin mattresses- each with it's own set of sheets- pushed together and placed in a queen sized bed frame. My fella is of the Deutsch persuasion and loved having his own set of sheets. The mattresses themselves were hard as rocks though! I'm not sure if it's a cultural preference, but I was hoping for a big, comfy bed with tons of pillows and big sheets. Again- my German fella was disagreed and was in heaven. I'd highly recommend taking a seat at the hotel bar on a Saturday night for some great drinks (cocktails are $$$) and a music channel projected on the wall. We saw that folks from outside the hotel were even meeting up there. Overall, great hotel! I would absolutely stay again!

Going for…read morean entire afternoon on a Saturday in August, here's my family if three's experience. 1) Admission: We walked right in with no line around 13.00. We bought three badges where everything is charged to. (You pay at the end.) Prices are more steep on weekends and you pay for two hours, four hours, or all day. 2) Space: There's one large room with cafes, a swim up bar, pools, hot springs, a lazy river, and a blow up obstacle course within a pool. In a separate space is the water slide area with around 7-8 slides from dark ones to almost straight down slides. There's a slide for all comfort levels. In this area is the kid pirate ship water area. Outside is a pool, kid pool, and a river ride where you go down rapids. That was all of our favorite. We went over 50 times! Costing extra is a sauna area, but keep in mind that people are nude in that area of all genders. 3) Experience: Compared to other water parks, this one is well maintained and not crowded. Lines to the water slides were minimal and you never felt cramped. There's a clean changing area with lockers for all. Be sure to shower before and leaving the pool area. The food and drinks inside aren't bad. I loved the iced latte. They have popcorn and slushies and you can get vodka in a slus If you have the ability to spend the amount of admission, we highly recommend.

I was recently on a tour of Austria, German and Switzerland, when we got to the Black Forest, the…read moreweather was not cooperating, we had been touring and the weather had been hot and since I've still been having issues with my back and knee and since I heard the area was well known for it's thermal baths, I asked about Badeparadies and OMG!! it was awesome, it was only a half mile walk from our hotel Bruggers and when we got there I wanted to cry, the lines were so long it didn't look like we would get in, an announcement had been made in German that they couldn't allow anyone in until some people exited the park, my roommate asked one of the cashiers and she asked if we had kids, which we didn't and she told us we could come into the Palm area, you get a cool wrist band which is electronic, and on it is the locker number, with the band you can lock and unlock your locker, very SECRET SERVICE MAN, LOL...once we changed we into our suits we stepped into NIRVANA..again, OMG...you walk into what looks like a giant green house with beautiful palm trees and orchids planted throughout, it was so beautiful, you could see the sky (cloudy and rainy as it was and in the upper 50's!) and at the end of the 'green house' was a revolving door in the water where you could swim to the outside steaming pool and Jacuzzi, I thought I'd freeze going out there but OMG..it felt so good, once I stepped into the pool I swear you could hear my big sigh of pleasure and relief all the way to the states!! The water was warm and it was fresh water...sitting in the Jacuzzi and swirling waters felt wonderful to my sore battered tourist body...it was 16 Euros for an hour and a half and it was sufficient, any time over 15 minutes was an additional Euro (and well worth it, LOL) once we got back to the hotel we found out that free entry was included with the City Card we had received so roomie and I headed off the following night once again, we got there around 8 and stayed until they closed, different crowd and much less crowded. There is a swim up bar and you can use that cool wrist bracelet to pay for your drinks, you cash out once you are leaving the facility. I wholeheartedly recommend it. The Galaxie park is a water park and that was the one with the lines out the door, and there is another section called Wellness with saunas and the like, you can get a combo ticket and oh yeah, the Wellness park is 'textile free', they are currently adding on to the facility, definitely a place to relax on your trip to the Lake Titisee area!

I got the exfoliating massage and really enjoyed it! This spa is coed and similar to other spas I've been to, except fancier. There were plenty of changing rooms, lockers, showers, and a room filled with mirrors and hairdryers. If you are getting a massage, they ask that you arrive 2 hours beforehand to do the Roman-Irish spa ritual. Compared to other spas I've been to, the temperatures were comfortable and weren't overly hot or cold in any of the saunas or pools. Some things that were unique compared to other spas I've been to were that exfoliating and laying down on a warm stone were steps in the spa ritual. The spa ritual ends with lounge rooms where you can take a nap, read a book, and drink water and tea. In addition to the Roman-Irish spa ritual there is also a roof top infinity pool with great views of Zürich and a Thermal Bath. My favorite thing was the rain shower in the Thermal Bath because I've never experienced anything like it. You step in this shower and there are 3 shower heads that turn on in sequence with lights and sounds of rain and thunder, alternating cold and hot.

It s a typical and traditional German Black Forest style and design (Schwarzwald in German, it s the mountain. A lots of wood, old furniture from the area, but nicely arranged, it s not heavy. It a all in one, restaurant & bar, hotel and spa (see the pictures). The spa is brand new with a fitness room, sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, in spa bar... The food was very good, fine and tasty, like the fois gras soup with chanterelle mushroom and pork meat. The service was nice we were very well looked after. There is a nice ambiance around the bar. A nice taking care, fresh air weekend ? Go there.

My favorite spot had to be the rooftop pool. It's a gorgeous view and very relaxing. I would love to find a place like this back home. Not super crowded on a weekday, and definitely a hit with couples. They do not allow phones here, but I still managed to snap a picture or two of myself on the roof and in the spa. Staff will call you out if they see your phone but there were also plenty of people snapping photos when no one was looking. It does seem pretty invasive in this serene environment, but they can't blame you for wanting to capture the beauty! The thermal baths and the steam rooms smell of lavender and other herbs. It is really a great place to renew your energy! Loved coming here and would definitely come back.

Each decorated with the best furnishings, and each different. The service is excellent. When you make a request, the staff will always make sure your wish is fulfilled. The food here is excellent. The restaurant uses the best local ingredients and every single item is prepared fresh. The baked goods, and desserts are made fresh daily. The nightly rates here are what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Our last visit was recent in late 2019. We will be back in 2020.

One thing to note upfront is that room prices are per person per night, not per room per night…read more That's pretty clear on the website, but since it's atypical, it's worth pointing out. From the moment you pull in you are going to be treated well; when you do arrive, just pull up to the gate (which will open automatically), pull around to the front, and let them whisk you and your luggage inside, and you car to be parked for you. From the front desk to the restaurants to the facilities, service was wonderful. The rooms are classical European, but more spacious than usual, and extremely well maintained. Expect feather pillows though, so if you are allergic to dust or down, you may want to bring your own foam pillow. Our room had a nice little balcony with a great view of the hills, even if the weather for our stay didn't let us use it much. That said, even cold and rainy weather won't keep you from using the sizable pool complex. They have three outdoor pools, one of which is heated and which you can can enter from inside; we had a fantastic time on a cool rainy afternoon lounging outside in the heated pool. If the weather is nice, they also have a second entirely-outdoor pool, and a natural pool that was closed for the season. Inside they have a normal pool, plus several varieties of hot tubs. There is a second entirely spa area that is sans clothing (except for a couple hours during the early afternoon, maybe 1200-1500), and has multiple spas, dip pools, hot tubs, ice baths, etc. Both the normal pool area and the sans clothing area have multiple sitting areas as well, so we spent hours in there alternating between reading, swimming, and snacking from the selection of cakes/pastries and beverages (all included in your room rate except bottled water for some reason). Definitely a relaxing way to spend a drizzly day! As for the food, even if you don't take advantage of the Michelin 3-Star restaurant (which is a substantial extra cost obviously), the food included in your room rate is unbelievable. The breakfast buffet is the finest I think I've ever seen, and the room rate also included a light light option at the pool, mid-day snack, afternoon tea, buffet dinner, and a midnight snack. Suffice to say, you're going to eat well! Wonderful service, amazing facilities, fantastic food, and a beautiful location, but you are paying full price for all of that.

Staff was super nice and the grounds were immaculate. They even had a cute schoolhouse/camp thing for kids which I'll be taking advantage of once my daughter is old enough. The list goes on. Even though your wallet will be significantly lighter after spending a night here (or even enjoying a meal at the restaurant), it will be an experience to remember and well worth every penny spent. I can't wait until my next visit!
