Over the last few years, I was suffering from a constant and dull backache. I wasn't sleeping properly and realized that I needed to get some sort of treatment. Since I sit at a computer 40+ hours a week for work, run 3-4 times a week and have to deal with an autoimmune disorder, I know I was putting my body through some major abuse. Though I've gone to a few other places for PT and chiropractic care, I felt that these places were missing something. I realized that even though the other centers were great at what they do, they were too clinical, too robotic and too focused on the business. There just wasn't enough focus on the actual patient. In the end, I realized that they were missing the genuine care and the feeling of family that Vitality Chiropractic Center provides. I first met Dr. Kris at my work's health fair many years ago. Though I went regularly the first year or so, I had stopped going for my adjustments because life got in the way. In hindsight, I should have just kept up with my regular adjustments. It would have saved me from having to muddle through my insurance company's "preferred" choice of practice after practice. Practices that only seemed to be interested in taking my money. Despite the fact that Vitality falls outside of my insurance's "preferred" option, I totally feel that Vitality is worth it. In the last 6 months, I've seen a vast amount of improvement. I no longer have that constant ache all over my back. My posture is better whether I'm sitting at my computer or training for a running event. I can tell that my body just moves extremely well and that makes me happy. Dr Kris is the most knowledgeable, gentle and experienced chiropractor I've worked with. She has been adjusting my husband and I for almost a year twice a month and I could not feel better. I am in San Diego as a tourist and I came here for one reason. To surf the nice waves of the San Diego Shores. Before I had even been in the water, my back and neck got stiff and started aching. For months, I had been experiencing uncomfortable knee and IT band pain after I'd go on long runs. Not only that, but it was carrying over into my workouts, so squatting and other lower body movements were becoming difficult. I came to Dr. Brew about 4 weeks ago to see what could be done about my lower body pain, however, to my great surprise, I've experienced health benefits beyond mobility.
