Tried this place for the first time and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. We ordered six dinners with a few sides, and everything was pretty tasteless -- not even the basics were done right. On top of that, they shorted us a meatball, and not a single piece of bread was included with the meals. For the price and quantity we ordered, I expected better. Ordered from here after I decided all my go to places are boring. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, Vito's works pizza and a ham and cheese roll. Everything was really good and the prices were way less than my regular pizza places. The delivery person was super sweet. She even sent a text to let me know she was on her way and that she was a few minutes away. I'll definitely order from here again. The food, prices and service were A+++! read more

The price and food quality is good for this type of restaurant, but the service when ordering is often less than adequate. Vito's is local to me, so I've attempted to order from them multiple times over the years. I like supporting local businesses. However, about every third or fourth time I've ordered they get the order wrong or items are missing. I've ordered online and by calling them directly. It doesn't seem to make a difference. They still too often just get it wrong. The first time it happened I called and got yelled at by whoever answered. I figured everyone has a bad day sometimes, so I just let it go after that. But now they've just gotten it wrong so frequently that I won't be ordering from them anymore. They only ever have charged me correctly for what I've received though, so at least they're not dishonest. It's probably better when you order in person, but just like most small, family-owned pizza places it's clean but loud and hot. Not a place I want to hang out in. read more

Randomly found this place while driving on the highway at 9:30p.m. I searched for restaurant. Then filtered by 'open' and one $ for something fast and cheap. We pulled in here a few minutes before they closed and got a slice of pizza and the buffalo chickensteak sandwich. The pizza was good but the sandwich was great! It had blue cheese on it along with provolone or something. TIP TOP. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. 1/17/18: Update. So I spoke with the owner Steve, and he took care of us. He told us this should not have happened and it wouldn't have happened if he was there. He remade our order at no charge. When we received it, it was hot and fresh like it came right out of the oven (like we were promised with our order last week when I called to find out where our food was). We will continue to order from here, as it is our favorite place in the area. I attached an updated photo as well. The pic of the entire pizza is the fresh one we received today. Thank you again Steve for being so polite and taking care of us!! We order from this place all the time!!! Our last order from them was outright HORRIBLE!!! We ordered a Sicilian pizza with light sauce and fries with cheese on the side. We placed our order at 5:09 pm, the confirmation said 45 minutes. An hour went by and we still hadn't received our food yet. I called and they said "it's on its way, it came right out of the oven and with the driver". Finally we got our food around 6:30 pm and the pizza looked like it was sitting under a heating lamp. It's like they took the pizza out of the oven and sat it under a warming lamp and forgot about it, then when I called they threw it in the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese. Even the fries are stale. Nothing was fresh at all. You can definitely tell the fries were sitting in the styrofoam container and in a plastic bag. The pizza is like foam, it's disgusting!!! This place is a must go. Real genuine Italian cuisine. This place really is a little slice of Italy in Barrington New Jersey. The food was delicious, very affordable and the atmosphere of the Vito's was honesty nothing that I've ever felt before. So warm and welcoming just like my home when I was a young boy. My mother used to make this impeccable pasta and this place gave her a run for her money. It was so nostalgic and I loved every second of it. This place truly is a diamond in the rough. was sick so a friend from out of town came over and ordered me food from Vitos. the delivery person (whos the owner) called them and asked any landmarks. not knowing where they were they couldnt suggest any and the driver hung up. upon delivery the driver/owner comes to the door, throws the food at my friend and says " YOURE NEAR COMMERCE BANK" and runs away. its TD bank first of all and before this i was a loyal customer for 12 years. never again. If I could leave zero stars I would. The food isn't bad but the customer service horrible. I googled pizza places around here and decided on Vito's. I ordered a pizza and a small calzone. I wait the 40 Mins and tip the driver 5 bucks on a 28 dollar bill. Thought everything went well. Pizza was a little cold but the calzone was the problem. I Cut into the calzone and there was ham inside. I call up and say to the girl I think there's been a mistake that my calzone had ham in it. She replies that's how their calzones come. I said I never heard of that. I mean what if a vegetarian wants a calzone they can't have one? She says she's gonna put the owner on the phone. This man was very rude and very arrogant . I explain to him I ordered just a small calzone and he goes on to say that it clearly says on the menu it has ham. Didn't you have a menu? I said no I just called and ordered which I normal do with any pizza place. And told him the man I gave the order to never told me about the ham. He replied why would he it's on the menu with ham. I think it's pretty presumptuous to think people don't want plain calzones that they have to have ham. If I want ham I'll ask for ham ...that's like ordering a cheese pizza and you get it and they decided you need pepperoni on it . He then just kept saying I have to figure out who you are. Like try asking for my name and address instead of repeating I have to figure out who you are over and over . If you mess up my order you apologize and have it out to me right away not make me wait another hour for it to come then your delivery driver who I tipped is rude also by being short and blunt and not also apologizing for the establishment. I have been going to this place since I moved in around 12 years ago. I have never had a bad experience at this place. The food is always excellent and everyone working there has always been helpful and respectful. On the very rare occasions that something was not acceptable, it has always been remedied immediately with an apology. Reading some of these reviews makes me wonder if people are mixing this up with some other place or they just like to be a-holes. I can honestly say that Steve and the crew actually care about putting out a good product time after time. Pizza, Cheesesteak, Wings- all excellent. Every time I get the food from here and other people are at my house, they comment about how good it is. There is comfort in knowing that I can call and order and always get a satisfying meal any time day or night. BTW- To all of you non-confrontational people that just go to places and bash them from behind a screen after they don't live up to some BS expectation. Take a minute to call, better yet, stop in and let people know what you didn't like. Chances are, they will try to make it right. read more

I come here for their subs when I am in the area. I am a big fan of the buffalo chicken cheese steak. You can call ahead or wait for your order. They are pretty quick at making subs if you just walk in. This is more of a take out place, but they do have some tables. I have had their pizza, which is decent, but I prefer Ralph's. This is my go-to place for pizza in the area. When my wife and I moved in, we tried several pizza places in Haddonfield, Audubon, Haddon Heights, etc ... and this one was the best. Consistently very good traditional pizza. Sicilian is a hefty load and fantastic - covered in gooey cheese and slightly sweet tomato sauce. White pizza (with ricotta and broccoli) is also a regular in our household. Also, can't go wrong with mozz sticks, chicken fingers or chicken parm sub. I have been going to Vito's since it opened in the 80's, I never had an issue until recently. I got an email birthday coupon for a free personal pizza. I ordered the pizza and went to pick it up and showed the email coupon to the cashier. The cashier then called over the owner who said I can't use it since it was not printed out and he'll take off 10% this time but next time I need to bring a printed coupon. No where does it say only printed coupons accepted. I told the owner I don't have a printer, which I don't. He was arrogant and condescending in his tone. I just turned around and left. He then called me and asked "you're not going to take the pizza I guess?" I said no it's a bad way to treat a loyal customer. He then said "okay don't bother coming back jerkoff". I was floored. So a month later I called back to order take out and gave my number and the order taker said hold on a minute, she put down the phone and I overheard her say to the owner "You put in the computer not to take orders from this douche bag, a**hole". When she came back on the phone I asked her what the note in the computer said and I told her what I heard. She said she was talking to someone else, I told her I heard it clearly. She denied it. So based on how the owner treats 2 1/2 decade customers I am sad to say please avoid this shop. NOTE: the cooks and the counter help are awesome and very polite and professional. We ordered Vitos today. They asked our number and name before our order. We then ordered Eggplant Sarrentino. We were told that the order would be completed in 15 mins. We arrived in time to pick up our order. The owner said we are out of eggplant. We asked if they were kidding to which they werent. He then blamed the young girl on the phone for the error. Why didnt Vitos call us right back and say there was a problem and if we would like to order something else? But no they waited until we arrived 15 mins later waiting to pick up our order.
