We found this place totally by accident, and we're so happy we did! We were looking for a cosy and quiet place to have a drink (away from Duval Street) and this really hit the spot. Great wine in a beautifully quaint setting. My husband and I both had a glass of wine, and both were delicious! We didn't try the charcuterie board as we were heading out to dinner. But at the last minute the owner asked where we were planning on eating...she said, as a local, she'd reccomend the Thirsty Mermaid. And we're so glad we listened, it was delightful (thank you!). We just wish we'd had more time to go back another evening and enjoy the food and wine at Vivez Joyeax, we loved it here. read more

A bit disappointing. Good wine and charcuterie. However it would be better if they would list their wines instead of just giving a description. We had reservations for dinner elsewhere but we got there early so.... we stopped here and then we canceled our dinner reservations. The service was amazing. Pierre is an amazing host and sever. If you like good food (tapas) then you must stop here for a drink. The devils egg was sooo good and the bone marrow was even better. Staff at our hotel recommended this lovely spot and we are so glad that we stopped in! An elegant, quiet nook steps away from the craziness of Duval Street. Stopped in after our visit to the Hemingway house and enjoyed some bubbly and rose along with a cheese and charcuterie board. We stopped to have a glass of wine to relax a bit and found this lovely venue off the beaten path across the street from the Blue Heaven. The wine selection is extensive and the glass offerings were delicious. It is owned by Julia who came here from France 3 years ago and has done well for herself. They have a wonderful variety of cheeses and you can design your own cheese plate to pair with your wines. Julia appears to have a great grasp of the wines she is serving. I would recommend this venue to any wine and cheese lover. read more

My wife and I needed a cheese platter and some champagne for a wedding party that we didn't plan. We came to the store at around noon only to find out that they didn't open until 3. Much to our surprise, the employees next door arranged to open and prepare the tray regardless. The cheese and champagne were excellent, but really this is a rave about the customer service. Excellent! My husband and I stopped in last night because we had an hour to kill before our dinner reservations. The gentleman behind the bar helped me choose a beer I had never had before, and suggested a wine for my husband to taste. We also shared a delicious brie and chocolate grilled cheese sandwich. The guy behind the bar seemed genuinely delighted to share his knowledge of food and wine and his enthusiasm was infectious. We will definitely go again before we leave. read more

We walked in expecting a wonderful time! We love wine and talking to people but we were mistaken here!!!! There were 2 people sitting at the bar and the lady "working" never greeted us and seemed that she didn't want to talk to us. After about 5 minutes WE walked up to the bar and she finally acknowledged us....barely. She finally asked "what would you like". We said we would like to taste a couple of wines since we were unsure of what we wanted. We found a decent wine to drink, and got a couple glasses. We then saw another bottle and asked to have a sample. After we tried it, we asked about the types of grapes used to make the wine, and which one would give it a sweeter taste. She abruptly informed us the wine was not sweet, and gave us no answer as to why our uninformed pallets may have been misguiding us. We did not like being "talked down to". read more

The cheese is by far the best on the island. This is a great little place off the main drag. It's perfect for a quick drink before dinner or stay a while and get some cheese and meats. My husband and I where in Key West and had heard about this amazing place before arriving! It did not disappoint! Wine and cheese were great and very reasonably priced! The first day we went I had a great conversation with our bartender, Ju! A lovely little gem of a lady, we spoke of wine, cheese, France... anyhow I'll ended up recommending they pick up this Italian blue cheese that we carry at my work! No kidding 2 days later we go back and the cheese is in the cooler! Even more fantastic, they messaged me on Facebook thanking me! Pretty fantastic!!! I recently took a vacation down to the keys and I have to say this place impressed me very much.... when I walked in and saw how clean it was and how inviting the atmosphere is... I knew at that moment I walked into the correct place.... also SUPER impressed with the wine selection... I have traveled all over the states and it has wines that I can't find mostly anywhere else (Napa, CA would be the only other place to think of) and a great selection of organic wines at that!! A very pleasant women Julie (cute brunette) helped us out and was super knowledgeable, friendly and kept us in our budget .
