Since going to the clinic I swear I look not 10 but at least 15 years younger. the staff are fantastic at what they do, from the hairstylest, beauticians, professional medical staff right down to the juniors. I trust them and listen to their advice. I have had botox, fillers, body wrapping, skin rejuvination, teeth whitening.to name but a few, my hair has never, ever looked so great. I even have lovely new nails. I always look forward to my regular visits to the clinic, Even though the prices for all the treatments are great, I always leave Drumsagard Clinic feeling a millions dollars. Yes, I'm being lazy, I could do it myself, but it was mum who suggested as she was heading down anyway to get her hair done. I phoned up and I said I have my own hair dye, my lovely uber bright pink, and they said that would be fine and could fit me in that same day. Yay! I was overjoyed as it saves me from becoming very pink and all the cleaning up afterwards. It's like Dr Suess' Cat in a Hat. Hehe!! I've not been to this hairdressers in years as I'm always a bit weary but I have to say they did a fantastic job. I did ask the girl if my hair was as splitty as I thought and she said yes and showed me, so I said just to trim it as well. She asked me how I would normally dye it and how long I left it, so she did what I would normally do, which was great. I am super happy and my skin is pink free. Yay! I do feel bad for the girl who had to wash and blow dry my hair, I could see her fingers going pink. Ooops! Sorry! All in all it was £30 smackers but then I did get a cut and blow dry. It was cheaper as I supplied my own £2.99 dye. It'll be interesting to see how much they charge without the hair cut if I decide to go down this route again, which is extremely tempting.

Had my haircut in here a few times where I found myself going just to listen to the wacky stories of one of the staff who I was sad to see take maternity leave. I thought I had found THE ONE. Been on an epic venture to find a proper regular hairdresser to go to who can get to know my scalp intimately and this was looking promising.. Got the staff a Christmas card they were so lovely. Decent student prices during the week too. Never had a haircut so good shy of a £20 in town. Another lesser known place that's worth hunting down. They do the whole kit and kaboodle for the ladies with waxing and such. My missus goes here too and loves it, so they seem to know their way around both male and female craniums. Walking distance from Exhibition Centre train station if that makes it any more encouraging to pursue. You could also pop into my flat and have a cup of tea and a biscuit en route, if that yelps? * *I would apologise for the awful puns, but Yelp sort of brings them out of me with their lovingly puntastic lipbalm, mints and pens!

This is a lovely, small, local hairdressers with chatty staff who know their stuff. No appointment is required, which is always good for popping in on your day off whenever you like. The owner of the shop listens carefully to what you would like done and talks you through how she'll do it. Then proceeds to quickly and effectively follow through. This is definitely the place to go if you want a good cut and colour by well trained and friendly individuals. Furthermore, the prices are superb, as a good shampoo and cut will only set you back about £15.

Having had my usual (cut and blow dry) here twice now, I can safely say I feel comfortable coming here. For me, finding a hairdresser I like is difficult; I don't like my hair being attacked with GHDs like everyone else seems to and I'm very particular about products and finishing so having a hairdresser like Kiki who listens is lovely. Kiki uses Phillip Kingsley products with her clients, showing an obvious understanding of quality styling. I can't comment on colouring since I've never had mine coloured (I'm forbidden from dying my hair unless I start greying badly :P) but whenever I've visited the salon, all my fellow clients seem happy with their style and with the relaxed atmosphere within the salon.

Nothing close to what I asked for and the layers on one aide of my head are actually several inches longer than the other. I thought I desperately need a hair cut, I haven't been to a hairdressers in six months. I know, pretty bad!! I normally colour it myself but I thought, let's give the Hely Hair family peeps a go. I first went along to check it out and see if I could book an appointment. I was greeted by a lovely girl who said I could have a consultation there and then with their colourist, Carrie Anne. She was absolutely delightful and so down to earth. I always worry that the more expensive a place, the more posh they'll be making me feel really intimidated. There was none of that at all. Carrie Anne brought out the colour book and I explained the colours I like and have had previous. It was weird for me as I have never used my phone pics before and she had her iPad with previous clients hair colours and style, so between us both we compared to get a better idea of what would be best and what I liked. So modern! Hehe!! They were very busy, appointments wise, but I managed to book in on the last day of the 50% colour sale deal. Phew! I had opted to go with four different colours. Why not?! Hely Hair isn't too far from Hyndland Train Station and there's plenty of lovely places for a coffee and bite to eat, so, is well located. Again, as I arrived on H-Day, I was greeted by lovely smiling faces and then taken up to the mezzanine level to be seated and prepped for Carrie Anne. She was spot on and had a good note of what we went through the previous week. We then just picked a base colour then the magic began. I also had another girl helping out on my colour, I believe her name was Erin, she was absolutely lovely too. I felt like a proper lady getting pampered. They were fast and efficient and the only waiting time was the development. I was made sure I had a wee cuppa and some magazines to pass the time. I also enjoy just taking in the atmosphere and people watching, seeing what other clients are having done. They said they don't have too many customers who come in for bright colours so they enjoyed the experience with a real excitement themselves to see the results. Well, with a wash, snip and fabulous blow dry style I felt wonderful and the end result was beautiful. To me I felt like a velvet cherry. Hehe!! My hair looked amazing, just like velvet, and the colours were so rich. I officially name this look 'The Velvet Cherry'. In the end it was a little more pricey than expected even with the 50% discount, my fault in I should have asked for a quote first as I did have a few colours. I don't go to hairdressers often so it makes up for all those lost appointments and I get my hair back to a healthy, more manageable, state with gorgeous colours. A massive thanks to the girls and I would definitely go back, even just for a cut and blow dry as it was that good. I'm off to swoosh my luscious locks once more.
