While individual team members did provide good quality work (painting, wall replacement, plumbing),…read morethe time to complete the work, the terrible delays, garbage left behind, cabinets left in bedroom in front of a dresser (couldn't get to clothes!), the missed work days, the unclear communication ("have the valve ready for the plumber, " with no explanation -- I am not a plumber... WHAT PART? Why didn't he order the part????) the fact that they threw out good parts (door locks- never replaced, towel rack which was replaced) without asking, etc., can only result in a poor rating. Howard actually got mad at us over his mistake in ordering the walls for the shower: we agreed to full length, he ordered standard height slabs and then tried to get us to allow for adding sections at the top!! This contributed to a delay in installing the shower! He did not tell us, until the final bill was calculated, that the plumber's revisit would cost US a fee (the newly installed faucet leaked). If we had known a revisit and reinstallation would have cost $99, we could've used another plumber! His estimate included tile installation then he mentioned and recommended a more expensive alternative.......what does that tell ya, eh? The only reason there are two stars checked is, for the most part, the sub-contrators were fine (except for the electrician sub contractor), and would have earned, if not affiliated with Howard, four stars! the management of the job was a failure!

Their business description on Yelp says "no remodeling job is too big or small for our skilled…read morecarpenters." I called them to propose a remodeling job, and before I even finished describing it, I was told it was, in fact, too small: If your job is under $2,000, they explicitly don't want your business. That's fine--for all I know they do amazing work--but they really should note on their website that they cater only to the medium-to-large job market. If you're actually looking to get a small job done, they would prefer you not waste their time. [2 stars for being polite when telling me that their "no job too big or too small" quote was insincere boilerplate.]
