Vogel's showroom has a display of the various (Forbo) Marmoleum floor coverings and the salesperson Kaden was helpful in reinforcing our knowledge about this terrific product. While that was important, this business employs several people that have received training provided by Forbo and are quite experienced installing Marmoleum. We met with Kaden and Karl (the installer) at our project location prior to signing our contract. It was clear from that point forward that Karl was very competent and detailed driven. I've used Vogel's before, and it was a good experience, but this will be the last time I work with them. It might have been a fluke, and since they came recommended, I'm sure they have many happy customers. They finished the job, and the final result is satisfactory. But there were lots of frustrations along the way, from multiple mistakes that increased timelines to lack of communication and unanswered messages. My wife and I have been in the process of listing our house for sale. I rented a rug doctor from Home Depot to clean a carpeted room in our house which made it look better -- however, the day after it was cleaned, it unfortunately unlocked a terrible mildew smell from it most likely not having dried out appropriately. We spent a few days airing out the house and running an ozone machine to try and dissipate the smell. This unexpected issue was incredibly nerve wracking as our house would be listed for sale in just a few days. My wife and I called Vogel's to ask if there was any possibility that they could accommodate a rush job in tearing out the old carpet from the affected room and replacing it with new carpet. Hector answered our call on a Wednesday afternoon on the phone and patiently listened to me explain the urgency in our situation; he then came to schedule a visit on a Thursday to take measurements (we visited the store to make a selection of the carpet) and then installation took place in a matter of hours on a Friday. This was incredible in how quickly this was accomplished. Vogel's was able to remove our old discolored and smelly carpetting and install a fresh new one. The place looks great and importantly it smells great too, just in time for our open house for this coming weekend. Lack of information about care for my brand new New Zealand wool carpet led me to seriously damage it with my Miele vacuum. I purchased a high quality New Zealand wool carpet from Vogel's and I had a positive experience with the salesperson. The installers were efficient, and neat and the carpet looked great. I vacuumed it a few times with my Miele vacuum, which immediately caused it to become unpleasantly fuzzy. When I contacted my salesperson to try to find out how to prevent further damage, he shared a link to a website that informed me that I should never use a Miele vacuum on a NZ wool carpet. When I asked the salesperson why this hadn't been shared with me at the time of purchase, he informed me that the information was available online and I should have looked it up. I have owned and vacuumed carpets for many decades, and never had an issue before with a Miele or any other vacuum. I am very disappointed that Vogels didn't share the special care info with me up front. Now my new carpet looks old and damaged. read more

They really went above and beyond on this new project. We had selected a top-of-the-line product and Vogel's crew installed it perfectly. However, within about 2 months the flooring began to curl up at the ends of the planks. It appeared to be a manufacturing flaw. Vogel's came to our home to evaluate the situation and contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer would not take any responsibility for the flawed product, although they quickly took it off the market. Vogel's stood by us! They completely replaced the entire floor with a different LVP product of our choosing (GAIA Eterra Black Series)--AT ZERO COST to us. We scheduled a bid to measure our the floor area. It was easy and quit. The guy who came, Craig, seemed very knowledgeable. After we finalized the order and put the deposit down we were able to schedule installation. I expected to wait 6-8 weeks. I think it was actually 2-3 weeks instead. Great. Our install was a 2 day deal. It took Jose and his crew 2 days to move our furniture, install, clean up and move furniture back. Looks great. Seemed very professional. Originally, when it was installed there was a mistake, and pet stain paint wasn't applied. when I reached out to address my concern, they responded quickly and fairly with how they handled the situation. They worked at my convenience and treated my furniture and house with care with the original installation and the correction. I would 100% use them again and actually plan to because I need new carpet upstairs too! The carpet is good quality and they gave me the option of ordering carpet for upstairs and downstairs at the same time or separately. The prep was easier than we thought. We had to clear the small stuff but the installers moved furniture and put it back. We just had Vogel's Carpet & Flooring install over 1000 square feet each of carpeting and hardwood flooring / stairway in our Edmonds home. My wife and I were thoroughly satisfied with the results. It was a pleasure working with Vogel's staff through the entire planning and installation process - pain free. During the planning process we visited their store location and they were very helpful offering options to meet our desired needs. There was no pressure to buy, and they encouraged us to take the time necessary to get comfortable with our decision. We ordered several carpet samples and used them in our home to arrive at a final selection. We communicated with them several times during the planning process and they responded very promptly to emails and phone calls. They made an in home visit and got detailed measurements for the estimate and further discussed options and answered all the questions we had. The estimator had a strong construction background and helped us understand how the work crews would go about the install and minimize impact on walls and existing trim work. The hardwood floor installation lead also visited the house to fully understand the job scope, address final detailed questions that we had, and ensure we had a fine tuned estimate. The installation dates were set and executed as planned. We were doing interior painting during this time and Vogel's coordinated well with us. The installation crews did a fantastic job. They communicated extremely well, and focused on addressing all of our questions and meeting our needs and expectations. Their work was the highest quality and we could not be more pleased with the results. We had expected to call our painter back to to touchup on walls and the existing trim work. This was not needed as there were no scuffs on anything. Rather amazing. We also felt we got good value for the expense. It was well worth it. We would certainly use them in the future. read more

VERY pleased with the quality and price I got from Vogels. 5 stars would indicate they didn't charge me anything (!) so really, 4 stars is pretty much as high as I go. I found another vendor who was a tiny bit less expensive, but the quality of the carpets from Vogel were noticeably superior, and worth every penny. Installation looks great and was completed on time, which was important, as I was coordinating painters and other contractors. You may not realize how important accurate scheduling is, until you try to violate that law of physics preventing 2 or more objects occupying the same space at the same time! I'll be back! I called about a strange dip we noticed in our floor, and spoke with Craig, who was very helpful and asked me to send in an email writing about my problem in more detail. After I did, Carli was prompt and friendly as we wrote back and forth figuring out next steps. A few days later, Scott came to our house to examine the floor, and my husband told me that he was fantastic: obviously an expert in his field, and very willing to help. He was careful and smart in diagnosing our issue. I contacted six or so flooring companies about our floor. The others either didn't respond at all, said they didn't have the ability to assist us, or wanted to charge an exorbitant fee to take a closer look. The way a business should be run!! Made an inquiry and they responed promptly. We just adopted a dog and have beautiful oak stairs, but they are too steep for the dog and she was slipping and sliding all over, so we realized we needed to carpet them, yet preserve the beauty of the wood at the same time. Their rep/measurer came days and helped us understand the choices, and came up with a game plan which would allow the dog a pathway, only partially covering the stair and risers, as well as landings (2 large staircases.) We agreed to what they would do and within a week an install was scheduled. There was constant contact, detailed estimates which seemed fair (although I have not shopped for this kind of thing too often.) Installers came and they were 100% respectful of our home and my wife and I. The completed the job over 2 days and the final bill was exactly what the estimate was, the work is well done and the carpeting accomplishes our goal. We thank the entire chain, from the home office reps to the measurer to the installers. Grade A Excellent experience that could not have been better. If course the real test will be how this all holds up over the next 10 years, but no reason to believe they would recommend anything that would deteriorate. Scott came to my home to restretch the carpet in my home office. I had a toilet leak which went under the wall and soaked the carpet in my home office. The carpet had to be dried out first by a water mitigation company. They peeled back the carpet to place a heater to dry out the carpet and pad. Scot did a super job even though my neighborhood experienced a power outage. I highly recommend this company. read more
