My boyfriend got me my favorite flowers for Sweetest Day from Vogt's on October 21st. By October 24th, the were wilted and the bulbs that hadn't bloomed are turning brown. Very pleased with their service and delivery of flowers. It was the dating anniversary between my fiancé and myself so I decided to locate a flower shop near him. I live in California so I woke up a little earlier to set the delivery due to time differences. They handled the order right away and the delivery driver reached out when he had trouble getting my fiancé to come to the door. He was able to find my fiancé in the yard and provided him with his amazingly prepared set of roses. The decorations inside the roses were beautiful and I order a "I Love You Ballon" along with the roses. I'm very pleased with the process and communication from start to finish. read more

I ordered a plant for my son's fiancé's mother's funeral. I was assured by the woman I spoke with when ordering that they would send a nice green plant and dress it up with cut flowers and a bow. When I saw the plant displayed at the church I was totally embarrassed! it was a spindly snake plant with 2 white carnations and a pink bow. It didn't even look healthy. My guess is because my address was from out of state that they assumed I would not be attending the funeral. My whole family did attend. I called and told them how dissatisfied I was with the arrangement. It cost over $75.00 and they said they would reduce my cost by half. They refunded $30.00. After speaking with a rude manager I still had to pay the full delivery charge for something that was not even near what they described on the phone. Buyer beware! read more

In my opinion, flower arrangements are absurdly expensive, and I really have a hard time justifying the purchase of one. For the last few years I've been coming to Vogt's, and every few weeks I'll buy a few seasonal stems (single flowers). If you're just looking for something to brighten up a room, or a small way to brighten up someone's day this is a great, inexpensive way to do it! Pricing depends upon the flower, but I usually get 2- 4 stems, and it cost me anywhere from $6-12 total. The service has been better some days than others. Usually the person working will allow me to come back to the refrigerated area where the buckets are kept, and they let me pick which type of flower I want. Other times, they leave me to stand there awkwardly in the jungle of flowers until they come back with my requested flowers. read more

Ordered from them and received a confirmation via email and my credit card was charged. Order was never delivered and as stated when order was placed I never received a call or email stating it was not delivered. Finally got through on Monday and was told my order was canceled because they couldn't deliver to the hospital but could not tell me why. The person in accounting that I spoke to said they called me but I don't have voicemail which is a lie. I then told her that even if I didn't have voicemail I would have a missed call and had none. She conceded that I was correct about that and told me she couldn't give me any other info and that I should see the charges drop off. I did ask them to tell me what number they called and she was unable to tell me what number they had associated with my order. So disappointing that I could not get something delivered or even a call to state why and the company doesn't seem to care. read more

Sad, pitiful customer service. And insane cost compared to other florists in the area who create gorgeous arrangements. Dealing with Vogt's made me just plain sad. I called first thing to have flowers delivered to my aunt today on her 90th birthday. (Family members called to say arrangements had not been made as planned and I needed to do a Hail Mary.) So I called Vogt's Flowers and placed an order and dictated the names for each gift selected from the website: A plant, an orchid, a rose bouquet, a tiny arrangement in a tea cup, 3 balloons and a little basket of food items. The friendly clerk took my name and phone, address of recipient and my credit card information. I explained that the card belonged to my fiance and had his name. Frankly, I didn't think to provide his address when asked or I would have. Anyway, done and good. I was offered the order number for reference. To be delivered by 2p today. Later, I get a call from a woman who says she's the owner and the bill total is too large for a single order and suspect. She then added that the address given doesn't match the credit card. I said that was an easy fix and explained the address situation and handed the phone to my fiance for confirmation. The owner of the shop said my fiance had to email a photo of his driver's license and credit card. He explained that no one should send a photo of a driver's license and credit card over the Internet. It's a recipe for identity theft. Then my fiance offered to divvy up the order onto separate cards if that was easier. Then I offered to provide my credit card with my name that matched the address initially provided to the first clerk and in the system. Then I offered to slash the whole order to one plant. The cost for that item? Just $34.95 plus delivery. The owner declined. She said that I was suspect and the whole situation was suspect. And she didn't feel comfortable taking my order. So, it never occurred to me that there might be a crime spree involving stolen credit cards and flower delivery. I mean, I always read that people bought electronics. Ah, well. It was hard to believe I'd spent an hour researching flowers, talking with the shop about each little message on the cards and trying to just pay. At this point, I was panicked about getting an order delivered to a retired school teacher who lives with her poodle on a happy little street in Grand Blanc, Mich. Incredibly, I called Vogt's because I specifically tried to patronize a business in Flint, Mich., knowing that the area is economically depressed. What I ended up doing is calling a florist in nearby Grand Blanc, Mich., which is higher income, and placed the order immediately and without incident. Plus, I called an Edible Arrangements shop for the food basket. Ironically, the bills for my orders at *TWO* shops in Grand Blanc totaled less than Vogt's Flowers. I mean, almost 30% less. That was shocking. And delightful. So it all turned out great. My aunt loved the surprises. Just wish I'd known from the beginning to start with someone else and avoid stress. read more

So during our time of mourning we had a huge mix up at the funeral home. Flowers were mis-delivered to the wrong people, and some flowers didn't even show up to us at all... this is no reflection on Vogt's flowers, more so the funeral home, but we called just to check and make sure that all of the flowers that were for our family, were delivered to us. Come to find out, no, they weren't. They made a special trip to our home to bring us additional flowers that we were supposed to get. Not the best florist in the area, although certainly one of the most high profile ones around. To begin with, they charge way too much for the quality (and quantity) of what you are getting. I'm not impressed by Vogt's at all. I know they've been in business for a considerable length of time, but it's a little beyond me as to how. I don't find their staff very helpful nor friendly. If I'm buying flowers, I don't expect attitude, but I do expect to receive the order that I placed in the exact way that I envisioned it, sans the rudeness. What I've ordered in the past is not exactly what I've wound up with. Complaints were not listened to at all. Apparently, my complaints fell on deaf ears. The arrangements were skimpy for the prices charged. Beyond that, receiving wilted flowers is a cardinal sin in the floral industry, but it's happened to me before. Years ago, my sister used them for her wedding and the prices were extremely bloated for what the order entailed. I couldn't believe it then and I still can't believe they charge that much and more now. I've been in two weddings now (as a bridesmaid, including a recent wedding) where this particular Vogt's was commissioned to do the floral arrangements and both times, the prices were out of this world. I don't even know what the brides were paying for because it didn't seem to show when it came down the cost breakdown. There are far more reasonable and quality floral shops out there. read more

I've been a customer for many years now, probably a couple decades. I figured keeping my business here might actually contribute a small amount to the economy the town I'm from. So instead of taking advantage of bargains elsewhere, I order my flowers through this business. What I like is the option to order online. What I would wish for is a photo of exactly what I ordered prior to it's delivery cuz there have been a few times the order I placed doesn't resemble what I thought I was sending. Customer service is generally efficient in notifying me of conflicts, order problems, delivery problems and whatever else. So in that department it seems things are alright. Also like the cut off date calendar when trying to determine if it's too late to send. I do wish they would send me coupons or a list of sale deals once again prior to holidays. I get none of that stuff, and it's been a few years. Ordering online also has some small perks but in the last year is seems as if those are dwindling. A rewards program where if you spend so much you accrue points and the points can be applied to gifts. Well they seem to be switching it out to gift cards for THEIR store. Uh, no thanks. My husband buys me flowers so I don't need to reward myself with more flowers. They also say on their website that they attach a card for the recipient in which they could win a dozen roses or something. I haven't been able to verify if that really is getting attached. AND they have a raffle in which you can enter to win a dozen roses. Unfortunately the winners all seem to live in Michigan. Strange how there's no fine print on the form you use to enter. read more

We used Vogt's for our winter wedding flowers. First Suzette had a meeting with us to help create our decorative vision for the event. The staff were very helpful during the rest of the planning phase as we frequently updated details. Then a few days before the wedding Suzette gave us a flower preview. I made a couple tweaks which Suzette was able to work in at the last moment, but overall the flower creations were whimsical and beautiful. Our wedding theme really shown through the breathtaking flower arrangements. So thankful we worked with this amazing company and it's amazing flowers! For over thirty years I have used Vogts Flowers. When I was local loved visiting the store. The past twenty years I have lived out of state and continue to use them as my primary florist for all floral deliveries. NEVER a bad experience. Great service and great products.
