I am a current auto/home policy customer and made it clear I have no interest in life insurance more than once. During a recent "annual review" of my auto and home policies, he asked these questions and called them "housekeeping." Unfortunately, I fell for it. There is no reason an auto insurance agent needs to know these things and I feel my privacy was invaded and I'm angry. Onto another agent and filed a complaint with State Farm. I recommend going somewhere else for insurance.

I'd recommend them for a few reasons but in a nutshell they are genuine people. I had a car totaled a couple years ago, fairly substantial loss. They stood by my side, assisting to make sure I was treated fairly. While they are an agent for the insurance company, I felt more like they were MY agent in making sure I received fair compensation. They sell multiple brands of insurance, so they can shop you for the lowest rate. Occasionally I get a quote from one of the 2-3 "big name" brands you see on TV all the time. It's usually higher than what I am paying. On the rare occasion it's slightly lower (VERY slightly), I remind myself WHY I have insurance in the first place, and when I think about how well I was treated during the loss, it becomes a no brainer to stay.
