The Volkswagen Transparent Factory is less a car plant and more experimental car assembly think-tank. It was called Gläserne Manufaktur (meaning factory made of glass) and the signage is still uses that name in several places. It is a building that would make architect Phillip Johnson proud. Our Viking group took the two hour tour and really enjoyed the experience. The eight of us had a chance to go out on the floor and examine the ID3 in various stages of assembly. Pretty cool.
