It's down the hill at another building. You can walk around the outside of the castle building and see amazing views of the vineyard. Loved all of them and the olive oil is the best!! They are incredibly warm and friendly. We got to see them use what is left after pressing the grapes for wine and use it for grappa. They work so hard! It's a magical place and if you can stop here, I highly recommend it, the views are amazing!

Originally constructed to defend Siena along the Via Cassia, the castle has remained remarkably intact for more than 800 years. Passing through its gates reveals a small, authentic village centered on a quiet square and the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Assunta, creating the feeling of stepping back into the Middle Ages. There are cute little shops plastered on the pathway including tourist favorites like jewelry, clothing and food items. Tourists were walking along portions of the medieval walls for sweeping views over vineyards and olive groves, gaining a clear sense of the fortress's strategic design. Yes, perhaps you may want stunning views or intricate history but this place feels like home. Within a day of being there, I felt like a member of this town instead of an annoying tourist. In the shoulder seasons it is really quiet and I would love to see it in the heart of summer with more people our in the square and more shops open.
