Real is heavily advertised now in Germany, it's supposed to be 'a new way' people do groceries…read morehere. And I have to say it's not bad.
It's a big supermarket, you can find almost anything there. It's not as expensive as Edeka or Rewe, but not as cheap as Lidl or Aldi. Remarkable things about it are:
1) a book section,
2) a very big toy section,
3) big '1 euro' section,
4) massive frozen food section, all sorts of pizzas, i mean ALL
5) lots of fruits and vegies, including exotic dragonfruit, cactus fruits and so on.
6) an amazing choice of chocolade and confectionary, not sure because it's Christmas time now or just because.
For 'points freaks', like me, Real is the place to shop: it's part of the biggest loyalty card program in Germany, Payback card. So happy shopping and don't forget to scan your card!
