Just an informative conversation with a true professional. A few days after Scott was at our home, he emailed us a Bid-Proposal. It contained the price of the main unit and all the possible options that he had described. He said to decide which options we wanted and to strike off the ones we didn't want and then he would send us a revised final proposal, priced according to exactly how we wanted the cover built. We chose the base patio cover plus a couple options we wanted. Scott scheduled an installation date, and the installation was completed in three days. They often present themselves professionally by arriving with construction plans in hand, sometimes accompanied by a woman and a cousin (names currently unknown). They typically drive a white Ford construction truck. The owner of RPR is Ramon Palacios. During our initial phone conversation, he admitted that Hector Javier Salas was his Project Manager and he would leave a message for him to call back.However, during a follow-up phone call, after becoming aware of my intention to pursue legal action, he retracted his previous statement and claimed that Javier had not worked for him for years. At this time, there are at least two known victims, including myself, who have been affected by this alleged scam. If you or someone you know has had a similar experience with these individuals or this company, please contact me. I have already filed a complaint with the Contractors State License Board, and any additional information may be helpful. I am also in the process of building a case for a potential lawsuit.
