I am currently coping with the damage and leaks they created. Bad experience: I would not suggest them at all. The roofer they sent out to do the work did things that they did not even know about or come and check to see the work he had done. I called about a leak, and they told me that roofer no longer works for them, I then ask about the helper he brought with him, which they had no clue about a helper and did not know who I was even talking about. When the new roofer came to so call fix the leak he asked if we put down some kind of felt paper on the roof. I said no I have not gone on the roof to add felt paper to my own roof after the roofers. I have been dealing with my leaks in the roof for over a year that they still have not fixed. FLORIDA 5 STAR is really a NO STAR COMPANY. I have talked to Suzan, Claire, Ken, Edwin, Debbie, Don, Jared and AJ. Half of them no longer work there wonder why. I have a long list of how many times I have called with dates and times. So now my year is up, and they will no longer do anything. I have a 10,000 square foot roof that they have totally ruined.

A person came out to look at the repair but that person was unable to answer any question because they technically didn't do the repair. At the time of setting the appointment they were aware of what was needed to be done but still sent someone out that didn't specialize in the repair. I was told the owner would reach out to me about the quote. I waited two weeks before reaching out and was advised the quote was being completed and would be emailed to me. Two weeks later, no quote so I called again and was sent to voicemail. That was all I needed from the company, I moved on. If I have to chase a company down, my services aren't needed. Others probably have had a better experience but all I can go by was that experience and it was not a pleasant experience.

My first call was with her brother and he said she would be meeting him there, but he never showed. Look out for the bait and switch, which already put a bad taste in my mouth for how this was gonna go. My home is definitely not a higher end home, but it is a good starter home with everything updated for a young family. Karen came in already downplaying the value of the house with a very low number of what it would sell for. Ironically, I got that same number from opendoor, which is an investment firm that buys the houses for about 80 to 85% of their true value. Clearly she had already looked at my house as just an investment property. The entire time all she did was say I've done this and I've done that, but she never made it feel like we would be working together to sell my house for the most money possible. She only brought three comps which were as far away as 4 miles. Simply put she's a dinosaur in this industry and unless you have a home valued at 500,000 or more she doesn't seem interested. She left a lot of old flyers and not a single one. had an older home with updates on it so I highly doubt my house would've even made her flyers. Yes she did say the company spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to make sure they're listed first and do the social media work, but is that truly selling my house on all of those platforms or is it just selling the company and the higher end homes? I went with a younger more social media connected realtor who came in with a number $55,000 higher than what Karen said my house would sell for which was backed up by eight comps within a mile of my house. I think that just goes to show that Karen wanted to flip my house for an investor. Will it sell for that higher number, maybe not but if you don't try you'll never know. Karen was willing to leave money on the table to move me along and help her investors!
