Parking lots are located all around the the large building (that houses the children's museum but other stores and shops as well). Parking lots do start filling up fairly quickly but there was more than enough spots. Inside the play museum, there is a free area to hang your costs with ample space. There's tons of stuff to do for kids in the children's museum. Some highlights: Stepping in, there's a giant tree house type play ground where kids can climb up and explore. There's a kid sized town that includes a fire station, dentist/medicL area, ice cream shop, school, home, grocery store, farm. There's even little apron/hats for different areas for dressing up. There's a "sand area" to give up dinosaurs, a space area up on another floor. Perhaps one of the key defining features is the huge water play area that includes a giant fountain to shoot balls up, a fishing area, Lego area to build a dam. They even provide aprons to try to reduce wet shirts on kids. There's a dry off area with hoses that shoot air. There's also an area at the back that changes from time to time - the theme this time was Winter Olympics. There are shows that occur throughout the day like a star show and a fossil show. There are places to eat, a microwave to heat up food and vending machines. Overall, a great day trip for people in the area with young kids!

The farm area is very educational -- my child loved learning about animals and how chickens lay eggs. There are also lab programs for older kids, which is a great bonus for families with children of different ages. Other highlights include the supermarket role-play area, corn factory (harvest, make, and pack corn), fossils and dinosaur sand digging, light-up puzzles, hospital, fire station, and a packaging station that teaches how factory systems work in a fun way. Everything was clean and well maintained. A big plus for parents: large, clean washrooms, plus smaller washrooms designed for older kids, which made the visit much easier. Admission is very reasonable at $15.50 per person for adults and children aged 1 and up. Overall, this is a fantastic destination for families, especially on rainy days or weekends. Highly recommend if you're visiting London, Ontario with kids!

The hotel is actually owned by the university and boasts beautiful landscapes and centry old-buildings. The architecture of the hotel is beautiful - it looks like it was built in the late 1800s. The hotel is clean and quiet! The bedrooms are a bit outdated in style, and there aren't man frills to staying at this place. Rooms are decorated in the late 1970's decor - complete with floral wall paper and carpet, wood tables, and vintage nightstand lamps. But, that is what makes this place quaint and cute. You can sleep with your windows open and view the outside forrest and lake. If you are lucky, you'll see deer and other wildlife hanging around. Also unique about this manor is that they have bee-hives on location, which they sell fresh honey and hair products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap) made of the bee's stuff. NICE! The best thing about this manor is that the staff are AMAZING! Starting at the front desk with Sarah - I think she is the front desk manager. Super friendly with a "Can Do" attitude. Her other staff members at the front desk - Catherine (and Gwen? Sorry, don't recall) - are also super happy. I especially like the fact that they were willing to help schedule rides and make dinner reservations for guests. [Side Joke: Sarah, build your staff the Yellow Brick Road!]. While there, dine at the Windermere Manor Cafe. Server / Manager Jason and his staff are SUPER friendly. The restaurant has some great food (I suggest the weekend buffet with prime rib, or the fish and chips off the regular menu). The servers are super nice and friendly. Julie-Ann worked with me to make sure the event was a success, and she was very patient and helpful with all my questions. The setting here is really wonderful for a smaller wedding with an intimate, elegant tone. There isn't a great need to spend a lot on decorations because the space is already so beautiful, but staff here can recommend excellent event decorators and florists if you want one. The only drawback was the A/C wasn't working properly and it got very hot in the grand hall. I could tell the staff were working really hard to deal with the problem, and they did everything they could to keep people comfortable. They were consistently professional and friendly, which is a lot more than I can say for many banquet halls. The food served here was really quite something - the chef provided a Vegan and Vegetarian friendly buffet with options for meat lovers, and I had dozens of compliments over how tasty everything was and how much people enjoyed themselves. I'm so grateful this wonderful place offers reasonable rates with such exceptional service and support. Definitely consider holding your event here! There is plenty of free parking and I can't wait to come back here and stay in the hotel again on my anniversary!

It's immediately clear with the signage and multiple conference room doors in the large main lobby. The room we stayed at was comfortable and refreshed. The beds and pillows were of the right firmness and the room felt spacious very clean. The 4K TV had options to connect to YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video if you had an account. The room was relatively quiet during our stay. Microwave was available in the cupboard. One bottled water was stocked in the room but we were able to ask for more from the front desk. For amenities, the hotel has a large swimming pool, without hot spa. Fitness room contains typical treadmills, gym machine and dumbbells. There is also a games room with a foosball table, arcade games for quarter play and a claw machine. These show signs of the hotel age. One drawback is that there is no complementary breakfast. That said, they have a 24h automated coffee machine that made tasty latte and hot chocolate. Plus there are many local and fast food restaurants nearby just beside the Hwy 401 exit. Also, the bathtub floor was quite slippery. Skip it or hit it? This is a solid mid-tier hotel pick.

The booking was done under a package and came with a visa gift card through London Tourism (more later). The room was good and still does not come with daily turn up or new towels. Although available by request it is a hassle to do as as we have to commit to a call and perhaps time bound. The room had a king bed that needs a new mattress. The pillows were not comfortable and made the two nights longer than they should. The card given by the hotel, London tourism and the card issuer is useless and it got rejected right away at the mall and now when I see online it says the balance is zero. Trying to connect with the card issuer since the weekend (5 days ago) and still no luck. Not exactly the hotel's fault but to select such a issuer is the hotel's and London Tourism fault. Wonder if they test the card before selecting them.

I use to play some of the games that they had and would end up winning a small stuffed animal. I still have to win that huge Bart Simpson doll...lol. There were white stains and debris on the floor, dust on the headboard, lamps and table. The bathtub was peeling and dusty. This is not a 4 star hotel. We informed the front desk and they moved us across the hall. The 2nd room they moved us to was slightly better but still not a 4 star hotel by any means. The rooms are dingy, dusty and feel unclean. When we told the front desk they just apologized and left it at that. The pictures make it look much better than it is. I did notice the good reviews are for the rooms on the higher floors. Even with paying for the higher room rate I ended up on the second floor where it seems they need updates. We stayed in the Delta Toronto the night prior and it was nothing like this location.
