We went to make an exchange when we walked in the store only had 1 other person and 4 people working there. We stood around for about 10 minutes waiting for assistance while the staff just walked around the store. They obviously saw us but decided to make us wait. We asked about the exchange and the looked around for a little bit picking out a new sweater. Once we had decided what we were going to exchange we stood by the register waiting about 20 minutes for help, there was one person checking out a customer and the three other employees were just standing and talking. Once we finally got help we were told the manager would have to assist us and were directed to another register. The manager took his sweet time and we waited another 10 minutes while he was talking to another staff member. We were standing about 30 feet in front of his direct line of sight so he clearly saw us waiting. He did apologize for the wait but it did not seem sincere at all. After he rung in our exchange, we owed about 4 cents. He said he would cover that for us since we had to wait.......gee thanks! I would rather have paid the 4 cents than wait 30 minutes to make my exchange! It was more insulting than helpful, 30 minuets of my time is worth much more than 4 cents. The store in the loop is 10x better, the customer service there is great. I will never make the mistake of coming here again. And the loop store apparently gets there stuff in several months before this store. The item we exchanged was purchased from the loop store about 2 months prior, and this store told us they had just got these items in.

Peeking in, the store was beautifully maintained with a wide array of men's clothing, coats and accessories. My wife and I were greated by Antonio, one of the managers and we spent awhile looking at the various items. Apparently. Rodd & Gunn is a well established and venerable New Zealand company even though it was new to us. I am used to shopping for menswear on Oak Street in Chicago, but I think I have a new supplier in the rotation. My wife spotted a very nice jacket and Antonio immediately secured the correct size for us from the storeroom. It fit very well and I was very tempted to purchase it, but my wife made excuses as to why I shouldn't, so we left empty handed. It turns out that she had aspirations to sneak back and purchase it for my birthday next month! I felt badly ruining her surprise, but a few days later I mentioned ordering it and she decided to take a trip with me to the mall to pick it up. Susan (or Susie- I'm bad with names) helped my wife purchase it for me. Both Susan and Antonio treated us with courtesy, friendliness and helped us make our way around the store. I know I will be back as I noticed some very nice pullover sweaters at a very reasonable cost. I found the prices to be fair, the styles to be current and the quality highly satisfactory. I've been wearing the jacket for a few days and I am very satisfied.

Recommendations for suitable shirts and ties were helpful. I had to have the suit shipped since I was leaving Chicago before the alterations could be finished. I chose a good time to shop since the suit was on sale and I got additional $$ credited by using the BB credit card. My suit arrived on time and with an excellent fit. Now I need to find more reasons to wear this outfit.

Let me also say, the fitting rooms were wonderful. Pants have always been a struggle but here there were so many options! It's been over a month & my garments have held up nicely through repeated washes. No fading, shrinking, or pilling. So while more expensive than other brands, the quality is there. I am really disheartened by the attitude of the team at this location. I came in less than a week after I receive my items, to just do a simple exchange. The manager thought I was insane for not understanding that they can't do exchanges for online purchases even though their app clearly states that you can do this. The cashier was obnoxious and kept rolling her eyes while on the phone with customer service. Again, I wanted to just simply exchange and was not asking for money back and it was a 45 minute ordeal where the only resolve was that I just needed to have faith that the corporate customer service would refund me within 24 hours via a giftcard sent digitally to my email. This killing the sail of the exchange for which I was going to spend even more $. I walked away so annoyed and just wanted to have a nice shopping experience while on my lunch break. I didn't buy or exchange anything. What a joke! I've been in retail my entire life and have never had such an overly complicated and absurd transaction over a situation that is very normal. Alo, change this policy and stop with the insanity over exchanges! Will not be shopping at Alo again.

Alex was the person that helped me with my orthotic shoe inserts which to be quite honest an easy breezy technique. First you chose the type of insoles you wanted depending on arch and cushion support then Alex slipped the pair into a machine to heat them up for 3 minutes then the insoles were transferred to a machine where you had to step on top of them for a minute with your weight! We started with one salesman who needed to leave and then turned over to another, so since we were first online and had to wait because there were 6 people and only 2 salesmen. One salesman spent time with a young girl and sat with her for a while while we were handed boxes. The service was awful, and I noticed two people left because they had no assistance. We have purchased from here numerous times and would have left if I didn't have my cash points. We will no longer shop at this store. Service is now here--try it on and put the shoes you don't want nicely back in the box. Add but pay $$. You really need to bring your customer service back.
