I have switched to him…read morebecause I want a doctor that will listen to me and take time to figure out what is wrong, not just prescribe pills. Dr Duke has saved my husband twice. The first time my husband was discharged from a hospital in Lufkin with fever they thought was from a bladder infection. My husband was still sick with fever and had lost over 20 pounds. I took him to Dr Duke and he immediately recognized my husband had a pneumonia with dehydration. His chest x-ray was so bad that the hospital radiology helpers were whispering that my husband had cancer. Dr Duke said it was just fungus, and he was right! The second time, my husband had just gotten to the ER with chest pain and his heart stopped. The ER people couldn't get it going, but when Dr Duke got there, he gave my husband a lot of magnesium and one other drug. Dr Duke shocked him once and got him back. As for me, Dr Duke has taken me off a whole bunch of pills, and I feel better.

She controls the office and doctor. She has the say so with no medical idea. She strictly controls on how she feels she doesn't do blood pressure or any medical pre help . Thank god the doctor does except goes by her say so. Do not waste you time unless looking for a good time with his nurse. Was a patient for over seven years she has been there four and controls it all . Safety for your problem won't be taken care of without the nurse approval. Not recommend to waste your money regardless of the good doctor. There is only one nurse so make no mistake she overcharges our Medicaid and if your on her (the nurse) Bad side she will give wrong advice as well as control the doctor .I put up with her for3 years always begging for my medication she does not return calls if your on her bad side in fact no professional curiosity. Both Doctor and receptionist have return calls before she got to catch the message

The Doctors do not want to address every complaint you have going on right then, they want to schedule you to come back for the other issue.....you know why?? So they can get that Co-Pay once again. I know a few good doctors that I've been going to for several months now and guess what? I don't have to pay every time I go and he also makes my trip to the doctor count because he covers every issue I have going on at the time and most importantly there is NO FEE for addressing a second issue or concern that you might have. So my advice to everyone who is considering going to them don't!!! Unless you just want to give out more money then what you need too.
