We, my family and I, have been VYSTAR CREDIT UNION customers since before 2000. I can count on one hand how many times I have had to call customer service because of problems that we did not initiate but someone else has made a problem for us. But, each time, they have had our back and has investigated and resolved each situation in our favor. Also, if there were any errors on our account, resulting in a charge, as soon as I would report it, they immediately reversed the amount giving me our money back. The hours that are available to customers is very appropriate. The bank hours are the same as usual office hours but they also have telephone customer service support available till 7PM each night which they can access anyrhing on your account as if you were sitting with a manager at a branch. And they also have extended Saturday hours as well. They have convenient locations thru out the state of FL & GA. We have an account in each category that VYSTAR Offers, Checking, savings, charge cards, loans, CD's, interest bearing accounts also. They have treated us like family. It makes us feel so special when we walk into the bank and be welcomed by a salutation by name. That's very special to us. Customer service is inexcusably horrific. From the tellers, managers, online chat, and over the phone. They will make adjustments to your account (like disabling it for fraud) and give you no notice (no text, call, or email to me). When you call to research after talking to 3 people telling me my account was not locked - they finally figured out the fraud department had disabled it and put no notes on my file. Vystar has been going down hill for the past few years and I do not see them getting any better. Please save yourself the headache and find another financial institution. For the record, this was not my only experience with their customer service. This was the last straw for me. Do better Vystar! read more

I did not want to make a scene, but I felt the need to post. It is unprofessional to run a cash advance without asking first when someone is looking to simply pay a bill in person. Cash advances are a potentially high fee type of transaction. Tellers should inform prior to running so that there are not surprise fees/charges. At least my actual bank rightly blocked the transaction for fraud. Now I have to make it a priority to pay off/re-fi. One could say it is the principle. Pun intended. Also, Vystar you should be aware you employees are on high defense after your online processor started charging $5 just to pay a single bill. I brought it up as small talk while we conducted business. The teller's demeanor and pupils changed size as he was quick to shift the blame when I wasn't even upset... I'm sure he must have gotten chewed out by others more than once. Vystar Credit Union, Please don't let your members/customers/patrons get ripped off. I would like to complement Vender Rolle in the Palm Coast Office. I had not been able to log into my auto loan account and was unsuccessful in dealing with a pleasant representative in the Help Center in Jax although she tried valiantly for more than an hour to help me. So this morning I stopped by the Palm Coast office and met with Vender Rolle and he was able to help me resolve my issues in 20 minutes. l acknowledge part of the issue may have been the fact we were trying to do this over the phone and dealing with the automated response system. The staff at the local office was pleasant and promptly resolved the issue that was keeping me from logging into my account. Vender did a great job for me and I do appreciate it. Jim T read more

It's funny how in my last negative review, a Vystar Representative asked me to email them. Why? It's now a week after I contacted you with my email address and phone number and no one has contacted me. This Credit Union is all about perceiving to look good, but they're awful. In addition, the branch Manager also never got back to me. Once my CD ages, I'm done. This institution is a nightmare to deal with. read more

The online banking app & website has been broken for months. I spent hours with a manager at the Palm Coast branch while he worked with his IT department to try and resolve my access problems. My take away was that they were hacked and had to abandon their existing app and online services. They have been unable to find a new software that works. I've been a member for +10 years, I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I would take your money elsewhere, rude customer service, hoops to jump through for the smallest services, and the call number randomly hangs up so to get anything done with your account you're looking at over an hour on the phone. We asked her a bunch of questions and she stopped what she was doing and immediately answered them, printing out additional information as we went. I use this bank and have for years. The last few their service has deteriorated. I opened an account at a new bank, but kept this one hoping the service would turn around. We have been banking at VyStar for 7 years now. At first they were terrific. Some of the best customer service around. But the last 2 years have been extremely disappointing. Their customer service is awful and there have been problems galore. They tried to 'update' their software. This was a complete failure. It too months to fix. I asked if they had even beta tested the software before releasing it. To my surprise they said no. So, their incompetence meant that I had to go to websites to pay bills because the bill pay software was useless. Now our problems are with the fraud and security department. We have had 2 new credit cards in the last week. And that makes 5 new cards in 2 months. We are looking to go elsewhere. read more

The team at the Palm Coast VyStar credit union treat you like royalty when you walk in the door. Always so friendly and professional. The bank is so clean and very easy to navigate. They are sometimes a bit busy around lunchtime and on Friday (like most banks) but it's never a terrible wait. Thinking. Vystar should consider adding another Vystar credit union near the Hammock Dunes bridge, as there seems to be a lot of activity and building happening on that side of 95. The worst customer service in Palm Coast. Bank anywhere but here.

I thought this credit Union would shine but ended up being kind of dull, hardly ever return calls when they say they will. Took out a refinance with them big mistake took 8 months to complete. Had to furnish the same information 3 times with them pulling credit reports multiple times lack of communication on their part was frustrating to say the least. I lost a minimum of $3000, dollars in interest fees during this snafu, a lot more bad than good. We started in March 2020 and after squeaking the wheel more then once we closed November 16 2020, they mishandled that too, I was charged twice for property tax and finally received a refund of $4,000 Feb 12, 2021, I will probably never use any other services they Offer for the fear of loss of funds .... read more

Lately I've been hesitant in doing business in branch lobbies due to lack of customer service compared to what it was when VyStar first came to the surrounding area here and near Palm Coast. I always hope that two of my go to member relationship employees Marilla Prestes or Joel Gaffney are working that day. Today I was fortunate to be assisted by Mr. Gaffney. He quickly assisted me with a IRA transaction and informed me about a new CD rate which was much higher then I was currently receiving. He was definitely living up to a mantra once heard used by VyStar "People Helping People". Mr. Gaffney is definitely a candidate for a leadership position within the organization. I was in the Credit Union on Thursday, September 28th/2023. Jennifer Iiliano was my teller and she was so informative. It is a new account, I am new to Florida, married in 2020, then pandemic, waited for my perm residence to USA, received in March 2022. So finding a good banking relationship is so important. I am Canadian, and have banks, home in Canada but in my 60's I find myself rebuilding. Jennifer was so kind, so informative, explained I signed up to another bank but head office is Chicago and branches all on gulf side of state, yea catering to Canadians, but I live here in Palm Coast. Was not working for me. In discussing my new account, mentioned I moved my Social Security to this new account, well Jennifer then told me all the perks of opening a new account - for myself and my husband. Decided to start a savings account for the kids. Vystar had a nice program with a customized savings plan for young kids. We are not members, but the representative was really nice and explained some products that they offer while opening the kids savings. I've been a customer of VyStar for 3 years and can never find a phone number for them that works. The St.Augustine number is the same for the Palm Coast branch? I have to make a call long distance to speak with anyone just to find out what hours they are open. I live in Flagler county so the trip to the Palm Coast office takes an hour or more round trip. read more

Horrible customer service. I walked in looking to opening up an account. I'm unfamiliar with the place being I've never been there before. I was told to wait in the lobby which I didn't know was on the opposite end of the bank. Sat down by the tellers seating area and waited for a few minutes. No one mentioned I was sitting in the wrong area. I heard a lady call out my name in a distant and when I got up to go she had already took someone else. So I sat down figured they'll call me next. Another person sat down and got called. Waited a few more minutes then decided to ask the lady (one who called me but took another person) if someone will be with me soon. She replied annoyingly "sorry I have a family emergency". Got up and stormed out. I understand things happen but the way she responded I was completely turned off by. I wasn't rude or showed any signs of being impatient. But waiting for an hour to open an account without anyone coming to check in on you can be quite frustrating. I recommend going to a different location because this one is not it. read more

I have been a member since 1972 when only Military was its only accepted member..... Over the years many improvements offered me the opportunity to travel with my work and continue to ATM bank with No Interruptions in the services offered to me with VyStar.....My Home location changed on retirement and so I continued to use Vystar Services with my distance UNTIL ONE DAY....
