Arnel Pineda may be a little guy, but he has a mind-blowing, big voice that fills that entire arena. The whole lineup--Neal Schon, Deen Castronovo, Todd Jensen, Jonathan Cain, and Jason Derlatka--was firing on all cylinders. Beyond the music, huge compliments to VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. I attended a graduation and the one thing I like about this venue is the proximity to the parking garage. Parking cost $10 but it was worth it to be so close. They also have good accesibilty with elevators and escalators. There are several good food and options added since I was there last. Overall, great venue read more

Went for Disney on Ice with my wife and the stadium itself and really nice the food was actually a lot less price wise then I expected. All the staff was very professional and helped with any questions. The parking garage across the street was only $20 so not bad considering it serves as parking for this stadium and the Shrimp parking as well. read more

I attended an Icemen Ice game here at the VyStar Veterans Memorial. We love coming to the arena; especially since it's new!!!! The old was terrible! Everyone here is friendly. It's easy to navigate around while inside to find restrooms and places to eat. It's easy to enter the arena and navigate up to the seating areas. Once the venue is over it has easy access to the escalator to get back to lower level to exit out. The parking lot across the street is great and has easy in and out for small vehicles and pickups. * My only complaint is when I drive the bus for church (40 passenger motor coach bus) to an event here at the arena it's hard for bus drivers to drop off and park and then enter in to attend with their group and then go back to the bus and then come back to pick everyone back up. Bus parking is hard here unless I just haven't been communicated properly where to go. read more

I checked out the Vystar for a recent concert and to my surprise everything was pretty seamless. I do wish they had a rideshare area, as getting dropped off and picked up was somewhat of a hassle. I tried to do this option to prevent parking issues and still had to wait over an hour to find an Uber who would be let into the arena area without needing to walk miles in heels after standing all night. The Uber was not able to drop us off in front of the arena due to the street being blocked off but the walk wasn't bad. I attended the Brandy and Monica concert in December 2025. Security check/ ticket check was really smooth. Signage assisted us find the section and the staff assisted us finding our seats! After being seated we wanted to find a concession stand and the staff assisted us in finding the closest one to our seats and also inquired if we were looking for something specific! The seating was typical arena seating. The production and set changes were seamless. No long intermissions and no sound issues. I would definitely recommend Vystar! Getting a Uber/ Lyft after the show was tough due to the high demand and we had to walk a few blocks to meet the Uber. No issues with the arena just be mindful if your using ride-share services. read more

I enjoyed my visit. They loose a star because the seats are small and there is very little space between rows. Also, this is Florida so rain is expected on the best of days and there is little space under cover when the rain hits. They had a great Vet discount. $7.00 to get in. But a water cost $4.50. I have been to this venue a lot of times. I also do event security at this venue. One of the perks about working here is I get the opportunity to work different events. This picture I forgot I had. This picture is from 2018 when the Monster Jam occurred. This was my very first Monster Jam event. It was awesome and very loud that day. Good thing I had my foamy ear plugs ready. Only drawback of that day was having to deal with all the diesel fumes in the air, but it was well worth it. My favorite Monster Jam truck is of course Grave Digger, he was there that day and put on an excellent performance as well. FYI: if you do plan attend an event this year at this venue I highly suggest that you arrive early if you're looking for parking. I say this because parking lot Z gets filled up fast, being that it's across the street from the arena and a lot of individuals chose this location first or pre pay for parking. Went to see Tyler Childers here. Was impress by all the security, staff and police to help keep the crowd organized and flowing especially during the exiting of the concert. The arena was clean. Seats were soft but cramped. Was hard to get comfortable and difficult to make room when people needed to get through to go to the restroom or concessions. Very nice arena! I came here last week for the Forest Frank concert--it was my first time visiting and I was traveling solo. The arena is huge and easy to navigate. We came here for an evening concert. Since we were staying downtown, we didn't have to worry about parking, which was nice. Going through security was simple. I didn't bring a bag/purse, so that made it an easier process. When we arrived we had our tickets scanned and then were directed by an employee to where our seats were located. We had pretty decent seats, so we could see the whole stage and see the screens. The acoustics were great. We could hear the music. We noticed the benefit of seeing a concert with a more mature crowd is most people are sitting down, and IMO that's way more enjoyable to see a concert and listen to the music. Seating 15,000 people or thereabouts, the venue is small enough where nearly every seat is a good seat. For the event I went to they were using the Evolv security scanners so it was super easy to get in with almost zero waiting time. People guiding you inside to your seats were helpful. Otherwise, I did not use any other services while here. Not being from the area my main confusion was parking. I am not 100% sure if everything is "official" but the garage next to the venue certainly seemed to be. $30 seemed to also be the going rate. Credit cards, no cash - which was fine. Leaving it was hard to tell what the wait was about. There were streets closed and police directing traffic, so I do not know how much of my wait was due to no one getting out of the garage vs just waiting for the three lower decks to empty. What was nice was that no one seemed to be fighting for the line. People just let the cars in front go and then they moved on. Thus, the three lower decks were completely clear as I started to move. read more

A hot dog was six dollars and a mil(shake was eleven dollars. The staff here were very friendly and professional. They really made the overall experience a lot better. Over the years I have been to the arena for different kinds of events, Disney in Ice!, a cousin's graduation, and an Iceman's game. It is an easy place to get in and out of for parking, scanning our tickets were mostly seamless, and there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the place. Cons were too many people stopping just past the doors where tickets were scanned to decide their next move with no one directing them to move out of the way. I'm not someone who easily gives a bad review or even a slightly bad review. I have to say this just right to get my point across so that no one misunderstand me here.... We got the email for the event we were attending and it said specifically, "Parking opens at 4:00pm, seating begins at 6:00 pm, show starts at 7:00pm." Even with that, we knew Gabriel Iglesias wasn't supposed to start performing (or his show to begin -- always with a warm-up couple of comedians) until 8:00pm. We arrived at the parking lot at about 4:38pm so we wouldn't get into a snarl of traffic on a Friday or end up driving around an area of Jacksonville we certainly aren't familiar with and getting all turned around and completely lost. We sat in the car waiting for more people to arrive and the lot to begin to fill a little bit before we looked at the time and saw we had only about 30 minutes before the time stated that seating would begin. So we went to the entry portion and began standing in line around 5:30. All would've gone well if the people inside would've simply followed the schedule that had been emailed to everyone. Did they come out one time to show everyone where to form a line? Only after the 6:00 seating was long past. Did they tell us they were running behind schedule? No, we found out by standing in long lines for over 2 hours hoping desperately to get in to be able to use a restroom! Were we indeed seated at 6:00? Heck no! We weren't allowed in until after 6:45 and then the lines were so long for the restroom it was ridiculous! Were any of the same food and drinks available for the people in the floor (more expensive seats) seating in front of the stage or merchandise? No, all we had an option for was cold sandwiches, chips and candy or basically beer or mixed drinks. Only one type of diet soda (coke only). Watched the people in the stands munch on chips, hot dogs, fries, hamburgers and pop corn. Walk around with tshirts and goodies and back packs too. None of which were available to us on the floor. Did Gabriel Iglesias start HIS show at 7? 8? No. At 8-something, Martin Moreno came out (Which no one minded at all), but then we had another comedian who "warmed up the crowd" before a 20 minute break for people to go grab a drink, food, merchandise or go use the restroom (which the lines were longer than they had ever been before, so I was afraid of miss the show so I didn't even go) and then after an ADDITIONAL 15-20 mins on top of THAT, finally Gabriel Iglesias came out and performed. The timing schedule that was sent to us was completely wrong and about that alone, the food concessions and merch concessions unavailable to us were the only things we were mad about. I'm disabled and am not about to stand very long at all. Knowing ahead of time how long it would be until we were actually allowed into the building would've allowed me to sit somewhere at least. The communication from the venue to the ticket holders was extremely poor. Do better or we'll go to Orlando the next time. read more

We sat in a new area during our most recent concert, and couldn't see a thing even though the tickets were not listed as blocked. The issue is the counter seating is at the same level as the row in front of the of it, so when people are standing during a concert, you can't see past them. And the staff will not allow you to sit on the chairs with your knees to get a view, so you're out of luck. Vystar should build an elevation for these areas; otherwise, they should not sell those tickets. Disappointing experience and a waste of money. read more

Do not use the make your own drink vending machines. Alcohol is expensive to begin with at sports venues. However the amount of liquor they actually give you is not worth it. I ordered a double jack and coke for 25.00 the woman watching the station asked how the drink was and I told her that I could not taste the alcohol. She put in another double shot for me on the house and that was a joke too. Staff is pleasant and helpful do not use this machine. read more

I finally made it to the arena for the Hozier concert, and was impressed! The venue itself was easy to enter and navigate. We were dropped off at the entrance, but getting an uber home was a hot mess since all of the streets were closed off. There should be more signage for where rideshare pick up is. Drinks are expensive of course like at any arena, so I just had one cocktail. I was impressed by all of the concession stands. Tons of food and drinks available. I was excited to see Tended Bar (self serve cocktail machines) on floor 2 of the arena. The club level was also super nice and not overwhelming at all despite it being a sold out show. My mom and I had a great time at the VyStar arena. I purchased some last minute tickets to see Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind, and Fire. It was a great venue, and I felt like any seat in the arena was good to enjoy the show. I am actually surprised this was my first event here, but I had an awesome time. The concert was great, and I can't wait to come back for another event. The only con I had was it took some time to get parked, but that was probably due to the Jazz Festival happening at Daily's Place. read more

We came to the arena to see the comedian Sebastian Maniscalco tonight. The facility was easy to walk to from the Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown. Entry was also easy and quick. There were a lot of concession stands open selling food and drinks. We were seated in row D. The only complaint is that the first four rows had seats with less cushion than rows E through Z. Other than that, it was a good place to see a show. read more

Vystar - more like Zero Star. We could not have had a worse experience at a venue. The seats were smaller than the back seat of a mini cooper which makes it difficult to leave to use the bathroom. When we left the bathroom line was extremely long so we decided we could find one on a lower level. We used the staircase to make it quicker and at every level the staff said no "re-entry" go back around front. That is also not allowed once you exit which was the only option from the staircase. I felt like we were on the lower level of The Titanic. They are extremely rude and could not tell us where a bathroom was anywhere inside or outside of the venue. It was crazy. No porta potties and nowhere to go except the bar next door which had over 70 ppl in line all with the same issue. I little guidance for a serious issue could have gone a long way. read more
