We…read moreco tracked him to paint our kitchen cabinets - here's how that went: he broke a drawer, said he'd fix it, only to return on the final day with it in pierces saying he couldn't. He left paint drips on nearly every panel. He mismatched our hinges. He didn't apply second coats. There is paint spray and paint splatter throughout. He broke our baseboard trim in several places - gaps in other places where the seams no longer connect. Left nail holes on the trim, unpainted. When we brought all of this to him, he initially conceded the errors, only then to turn defensive and block my phone number. He even took his business off of Thumbtack where we found him to evade a bad review. Check out the text he sent us, promising to fix it and not brush it under the rug. Total BS. Chris lacks integrity and is a lazy painter. Don't hire.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. First he showed up late every day and would only be here tops 2…read morehours. Then when he came back to put hardware and doors on and paint any misses he didnt like the fact that we found many misses. He was so unprofessional and ignorant. I have never met a contractor that was so unprofessional. I could have done a better job painting my cabinets myself. He got paint on our ceiling and walls because he did not use tape, and we told him before he even started painting that we did not have the paint to touch up. He left, did not finish touching up missed areas, putting hardware or our doors back on. DO NOT HIRE HIM, CHRIS BERNHARDT, you will regret it. Oh and while he is walking out my door he is doing nothing but putting me down and calling me names....now that is professionalism at it's best! The pricing was reasonable but not worth the aggravation. We now have to do the touch ups, put the hardware and drawers back together ourselves. And figure out how to go get paint that will match to touch up where he got paint on our walls & ceiling above every cabinet.
