For a second time, I highly recommend W C ElectricaI. I previously used this firm for another project two years ago and had a great experience with William and Mario. I recently contacted William again to have a wall switch installed for a ceiling fan because I thought the remote was broken (it would only sporadically turn the fan on and off, even with a new battery). Mario came out within a couple days and quickly identified that the issue was not the remote but poor wiring in the junction box (which was done by another electrician years ago). Since it was later in the evening, he came back a few days later to install the switch and fix the junction box wiring. They did a fantastic job dealing with the city's convoluted permitting process. The city made us move the meter to the other side of the house during the meter spot check. He kept telling me to send pictures of this, videos of that, and when I did it was "I need another one". That's why I asked for an "IN PERSON ESTIMATE." When I told him I was no longer home, he told Me to send it later. Like I won't be making dinner, carding for children, homework ect. I've never dealt with a business person who was so arrogant and demanding. Due to his conduct, I thanked him for his time and said I do not feel we are a good fit. Had an emergency electrical situation late this afternoon, 8/25/22. An outlet was alarmingly hot after shorting out and the breaker switches were warming as well. Rather than wait til morning I looked up services on Yelp and found this listing, promising 24/7 emergency electrical services. Decided to call around 7pm, and owner William answered. Asked for photos of the problem for an estimate and got a quote over the phone shortly after sending them while we were speaking. Told me a technician would source necessary parts and be arriving within an hour. And he did. Mario was on time and courteous and quick. Very kind and happy to explain what was going on as he went through his work. Payment was simple right through the Zelle app on my phone. Our power went out and after Edison confirmed it wasn't an outage, we started calling around to see if anyone could come out and help since our maintenance people on site weren't responding. The person who answered when I called informed me that they unfortunately didn't have anyone who could come out same day. However, they were kind enough to offer troubleshooting services over the phone for free. With a lot of back and forth, we were able to essentially figure out the issue through process of elimination. Once the maintenance person came out, we were able to restore power more quickly since we already knew the issue wasn't with our circuit box or power connection. I reached out to William on a week when I was out of power on several outlets across the house connected to a GFCI outlet that tripped. On my own attempt, I decided to switch another GFCI outlet to replace this "defective" one, and instead of fixing a problem, I found myself now with 2 GFCI outlets that no longer worked. And worse yet, both had downstream outlets connected to my living and master bedroom, so there was no more internet, TV, phone chargers, or anything else connected to those outlets. William took a call from me on a Saturday and had such a thorough and organized manner with which he tackled this problem by troubleshooting with me on the phone. He gave me possible causes but also walked me through step by step where I should start and I sent him photos along the way. We found out at the end that I needed to reset my breaker, and I reinstalled the original GFCI outlets with all the proper wires in the Lines section then pushed the "Reset" button. It was incredible the patience and proficiency he showed as an electrician. You can tell he is truly passionate about his work, but also just a kind man who's looking to help out. He did not ask for money in return, when I fixed all the outlets with his help over the phone. Connecting with WC Electrical was a happy accident. I was looking to contact another company but forgot to uncheck the box that says send your projects to others. William from WC was the first to reach out to me so I shared with him what was going on. My husband had tried to do things himself but he kept causing more harm than good. I got on Yelp before he damaged everything. I have always dreaded the thought of having to call an electrician but William and Mario have changed my perspective. William was informative, upfront, and gave an estimate half of what I thought it would cost. We spoke to William at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon and Mario showed up at 6:30 THE SAME DAY! Mario was stellar! He worked hard and non-stop for two hours sharing his knowledge with my husband all along the way!!
