I suppose that's just one of those things that can happen though so you can't blame the staff for it. It's a typical WH Smith's really and does exactly what it says on the tin!

Books and DVDs tend to moved around depending upon the season, although the majority of books are on the first floor. They do have an ordering service if your required item is not stocked.

It is quite a narrow long shop and can be difficult to get around with a buggy especially at busy times.

Small businesses are obviously hit hard in times like these but I also think that the parking charges in Poulton have a lot to answer for. Anyway, the best thing about this Oxfam is undoubtedly its great range of books, they have so many they are even categorized like in a library. They also have the usual clothes, bags, cards etc. and they seem to get quite a few people in. Fingers crossed they can survive this recession and keep battling on!

Still if you have a new home and you are on a budget then Hitchens is well worth checking out for household goods. Everything in this store is much cheaper than what you'd find in the high street. The added extra of finding random items like an oven mitt, pastry cutter or a bean bag make the experience a surprising joy. I often visit this shop when in Morecambe for a mooch at the latest bargains. I never fail to leave the store without something in my hand. I give it 5 stars for bargains!
