Total: $21 for one person. ​The Pros ​Atmosphere: Clean facility and a nice location. ​Thai Tea: Good, standard quality. ​Chili Dumplings: Great flavor with a nice "kick." ​The Cons ​Tofu Rice & Veggie Bowl ($12): Very lackluster. The tofu was unseasoned, and the $1.25 premium for veggies only yielded three pieces of broccoli and five thin carrot slices. Portion sizes are poor for the price point. ​Dumpling Size: At ~$1 per dumpling, they are strictly one-bite sized. ​Value: This meal felt like it should have cost $14, not $21. ​The Experience & Service ​1. The "Early" Closing: I attempted to visit the night prior at 8:50 PM (St. Rose location closes at 9:00 PM, mistaken for 10p closing at a sister location). Despite being there before the doors locked with a $50 order ready, the cashier cut me off at 8:55 PM to say the kitchen was already closed and everything was turned off. Being turned away before posted closing hours was highly frustrating. ​2. Subjective Atmosphere: On both visits, the music was excessively loud--seemingly for the benefit of the kitchen staff rather than guests--making conversation difficult. ​3. Poor Product Knowledge & Service Tone: Despite my better judgment, I returned the next day. The same cashier seemed "too busy" to take my order, so I used the kiosk. When the kiosk failed to print my receipt, I asked for a reprint. She replied, "No, I can't reprint from that machine, but if you would have ordered from me, I could have." The "if you would have" tone felt like I was being blamed for using the provided kiosk. ​Furthermore, when I asked what the "Boom Boom" sauce tasted like, she simply said, "I don't know." For a menu with only four sauces, this lack of product knowledge is disappointing. (For future reference: It's a creamy Mayo/Sriracha mix). ​Final Verdict ​The food has some highs, but the portions are small and the service is underwhelming. Between being turned away early on night one and the dismissive attitude on day two, I won't be recommending this spot or returning. read more

I get it, a chain is just a chain. And it's the people that really make the difference. I particularly like this waba grill as it is one of the better ones that I have been to. It's a little trickier to find right off St. Rose parkway because it's tucked in the back of a shopping center but is definitely worth the travel. The place is neat and clean, the staff is very kind and refreshing as well as being nice and attentive. I would much rather talk to a human being than one of those touch screen boards and it's nice that this restaurant still has people at the front counter that care about their job. I really can't say anything negative about the food, because it's always on point. It tastes fresh, is very filling, and the portions are really good. Bottom line? If you're looking for a waba grill, I would add this one to your list. It's really a great place to go when you want something quick, healthy, and not that expensive. read more

Came here for a healthy dinner on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy. My husband and I ordered a bowl. Mine was a Veggie bowl with steak and chicken and his was the same but he had rice. The veggies were super fresh and steamed with no seasoning, which we liked. However, the amount of protein was super minimal. (Please refer to my photo.) I was surprised. We both literally got half a chicken thigh and a pinch of steak. Definitely not worth what we paid for.... The miso soup, don't get it! It tasted like water. My suggestion, Veggies to protein ratio should be better and the miso soup needs flavoring. read more

Finally got a chance to try this place as I had been seeing it for awhile. It's pretty small, but clean and the staff was friendly and helpful with the menu. You order at the counter. I opted for their combo deal for just about $10. Comes with a mini bowl, a side, and a drink. I had the spicy chicken with the dumpling as my side. The chicken was flavorful. I will say for the tho the down side is that there's barely any protein considering how much rice they give you. I'm really kicking myself for not taking a photo. It really is a rice bowl with a sprinkle of chicken. The dumplings were pretty good however I was not the biggest fan of the sauce they serve it with. I did, however, really like their waba sauce for them instead. Would I come back? Maybe. I'd definitely have to add veggies to my bowl or ask for extra protein, but I'm not sure that's an up charge I wanna make. My overall rating was mostly for the service and the taste of the food. Waba Grill is a new favorite of ours. We will definitely be going more when we are on this side of town. Items tried and liked: Chicken Veggie Bowl - chicken was delicious with just the right amount of sauce, veggies were nice and crisp (no seasoning) and rice was cooked just right. Dumplings - my daughter really enjoyed them. Due to a recent health issue, I appreciate the natural taste of food and having the option of seasoning your own food. Sauce packets are given on the side which is perfect. Online ordering is available and our preferred way. It was easy, convenient and our order was ready at the time given. Employee was nice. Interior was clean. Parking was hectic but thankfully we were able to find a spot. I hope you decide to check them out :) read more

When I heard word that WaBa Grill was opening in the valley, I was pretty interested. It would be our first location! My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after our gym session to grab some food. When we arrived, there were a good amount of people waiting for their food. They weren't busy per say -- I think they were just backed up. There was only two people working at the time so things came out pretty slow. My husband and I decided to share a plate. We chose the WaBa combo, which is steak and chicken and we chose garlic serrano for our sauce. The plate came with salad and dumplings as well. When we were waiting for our food, we noticed that they were making it fresh so at least none of the meat was pre-cooked. When we got our food, I noticed that the sauce was already on the meat so it wasn't served on the side. I think next time, I'll have them put it on the side so I can control the amount. The chicken was good -- had good flavor and wasn't overcooked. The steak was shaved steak versus actually pieces but it also had good flavor. The garlic serrano sauce was a bit sweet so I think it is way better off on the side. The dumplings were decent, salad was fresh, and the rice was just rice. The rice did go great with everything especially with sauce. While the food is not mind blowing, it is good and relatively healthy. The prices aren't horrible either for what you get. I definitely would not mind coming back and hope more locations open up in the valley. I would love a location closer to where I live. read more

WOW.... im impressed with the food and service here....Im from cali and ive been on a search for a place thats like Yoshinoya. This place is it ;-) food is tasty,made fresh and affordable. They offer mini reg and large bowls which is awesome depending how hungry you are or your budget. We got the Ribeye steak mini bowl with veggies and it was delish. We also used our sign up code and got 25% off the first order which was awesome. We paid under 11$ for two mini bowls ..thats fantastic!!! The location was also clean and relaxing to have lunch. Not to mention Guille and Ada are super sweet and friendly... they made our first experience great and enjoyable. That was truly a special touch to this spot. A neighbor told me about WaBa Grill and it looked and sounded good so I went in on a night I didn't feel like cooking. I was immediately greeted and welcomed in by the staff. The menu has plenty of options. You can get bowls, plates, tacos, and salads. They have plenty of ways to customize your entree with different proteins, sides, and sauces. I ordered the healthy combo with the mini chicken bowl and selected the order of 5 dumplings to go with it as the side. I also ordered the taco trio that included one each of chicken, steak, and shrimp. The mini bowl was actually a decent size of rice and chicken with teriyaki sauce. The potstickers were good and served with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. The tacos are a good size and they have really good flavor. The bang bang sauce has a spicy kick to it and pairs well with the tacos. The service was on point. The workers are friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back. read more

WaBa Grill has opened its first location on St. Rose Pkwy and THE FOOD IS GREAT. As a person who eats relatively clean and healthy food , I love what this place has to offer. The perfect balance between a delicious meal and a healthy meal. I have tried their plant based steak and it was delicious. They have a great versatile menu, including vegan options too. The restaurant isn't that big / only few tables, but it's very clean and inviting. Staff greets you when you enter..very friendly and welcoming crew. Order doesn't take long ,so we didn't wait long at all. Overall: we have enjoyed amazing super fresh healthy food and great atmosphere from welcoming staff . Definitely recommended!! Big problem. Location recently opened near me. Installed app. Ordered over app. Picked up food. Food was very good. Wanted to order again. Now when I launch the app I'm told I must input my birthday to proceed. I cannot order food nor can I even view the menu without entering my birthday. These people must have so much business they are trying to bring the numbers down, or they may use a third-party app? It may not be the restaurant which is prohibiting me from ordering, it may be the third-party who insists on collecting my data so that they can sell it? Who knows? Funny response from WaBa. they told me to go to their website "contact us" page. If they read my comment, they would know I can't get to ANY page on their website. I don't really write reviews, but I had to take the time to do this one. Went in tonight to pick up some dinner after work, first time there. Food was as expected. As I walked out, the young girl at the counter said " please push your chair in on your way out ". Sounds simple and I'm not above pushing a chair in, but as a business owner myself I was shocked that the employee would ask that of a customer. This type of behavior will ruin your business, you might want to retrain or not hire young kids that don't understand that. read more

I'm not much a fast food nor chain girl. But, I've been here 3 times this week! I normally don't like ribeye. They cut it thin and I've yet to have griddle or a tough piece. I love that I have the option of only white meat chicken, which is moist and tender. Personally, I get the plate. I eat the dumplings and saiad first. Then the remainder is for later or the next day. Portions are generous. I appreciate the fresh/never frozen/farm raised chicken, wild caught salmon and so many more choices. I also appreciate the fact that the ingredients are listed in legible font on the back side of the packet. Not the cleanest ingredients, but in moderation. Give it a try! read more

So we were excited to see a Waba establishment here in Las Vegas. They took their time explaining the family specials, and substitutions. We are family of 5, and my kids eat like adults, so any money I can save, I appreciate.
