I dined here on two mornings earlier this week, Wednesday and Thursday. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It's the standard Waffle House atmosphere. I sat at the counter. Food was delicious! Fresh hot and cooked to order in front of me. Of course I had a waffle, as well as a side of bacon and hash browns. Wonderful place! And quite reasonably priced, but I suppose that may be because I am conditioned to California's exorbitant prices. Breakfast cost easily half that of back home in California. read more

I've never been to a Waffle House. The only impression I got is whatever the internet has shown us. WELL it's Christmas Day and I needed to hang out with a friend somewhere and Waffle House is open. The restaurant was pretty clean. It was busy, but we were seated within 5 mins of being there. Our waitress Ariel was an absolute sweetheart and took care of us. The food was delicious and I was honestly impressed. Like I said, I only had whatever impression the internet has instilled in all of us. Overall enjoyed my first time at a Waffle House, and specifically at this location. The staff looked like they all worked very well together and were having fun whilst working. Hope to come back soon and have Ariel as our waitress again. read more

Waffle House is one of my guilty pleasures. This location specifically has improved so much since it's been here. It's cleaner now with friendlier staff and I mean FULLY staffed. Food prepared within eyesight, the coffee didn't taste burned or if it had old coffee cooking at the bottom, I'm glad to see no lipstick marks on my coffee cup as well. Food came out fast while staff members put in a team effort checking in on us and had everything right. Today I decided to order the steak & eggs - you won't see it on the menu anymore and they'll still serve it. When it got to me I was like naw it looked thin and dry but it wasn't, it was tender, thin, and seasoned well. Parking is tight in the front but there's more parking towards the back on the street. read more

What's crazy is I've never been a huge fan of Waffle House. However, it truly depends on the location because the one in N Arlington is alright with me. I walked in and was greeted warmly. The interior was pretty clean, no sticky floors (a plus) I ordered the waffle breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, sausage patty and grits. In about 12 minutes my food was ready and I was out the door. It was so filling and seasoned well. Very affordable as well This might be my new spot! read more

I think my first trip to a Waffle House was in the mid-aughts. My recent trip was only my second, and it couldn't have been more different. The first time I was in Arizona and it lived up to everything I thought it would be, with police presence, lots of illicit activity, and stories for years. This location, however, is the opposite. It was clean, everyone was super friendly, and ya, it was the middle of the day and not a late night adventure. My guess is that at night, all bets are off. You're here in the Arlington Entertainment District (or like, mostly near it) and they were cool with my walking in with my luggage after checking out and needing some time to kill and a late breakfast (more like lunch). I went pretty simple with some eggs and sausage, and I had forgotten how cheap it is. Ya, its expensive compared to a few years ago I think, but it's about the cheapest spot you can grab some breakfast or simple (and I mean very simple) diner fare. It's a geography thing for me, there's no reason to wait that long again for a second visit, especially when it's as chill and easy as this particular WH loccation. read more

She even brought the cook to our table to make sure our food was prepared exactly to our satisfaction. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious! Went in today with my wife just wanted a quick breakfast. When you go to Waffle House you know the food will be fast and often there's nothing remarkable with the visit. Today we were thoroughly impressed by Trey. He's a good team leader good with customers and he's in the FOH clearing tables and getting guests in seats. He definitely needs to be a manager if he isn't one and if he is one move that man up to regional manager. read more

As a Georgia native, it is such great news to see a WaHo here! While I don't think the culture is as immense it is in ATL, it's still such a great place to get late night food especially after a long night of drinking. I decided to stop here for a late night snack to pick-up to-go. I ordered my usual - hash browns all the way. They asked me if I wanted to double it for only 50 cents, and I took the offer right away! Hashbrowns all the way is a signature dish at Waffle House and it is quite possibly the unhealthiest thing ever, but it tastes GREAT (especially when you're drunk.) I was told the price would be only $3.50 and I was taken aback because I remember even before the inflated times, this dish was $5. Turns out that she was just thinking of the regular hashbrowns.. It was around $6.25 (plus their togo fee which is 10%) which is still not bad for a lot of food! My food came out relatively quickly -- the cashier/server who took my order was extraordinarily friendly which is hard to find in a WaHo let alone restaurants these days! I came home and gobbled up my hashbrowns - it was a LOT of food. WaHo isn't your fancy breakfast restaurant -- it's a place for cheap quick grub but they do it well. Manage your expectations and you'll have nothing but an amazing experience here. read more

On our way out of town and stopped at this Waffle House location. Overall, the Waffle House is always busy. I give them kudos for how they stay sane from never closing, lol. More so because overall, the place was pretty clean. We had good service from our waitress and good food. We all had something different and everything looked scrumptious. When you stop by ask for Rosa! She was exceptional today. We've been there a few times but not one time was like today. Expect kitchen banter when you dine at Waffle House it's hilarious when you're light hearted. Rosa was on the kitchen like syrup on waffles to get her tables food out hot and ready. Customer service - great! Our waitress, Shalisa is so sweet and kind! Our bill was less than $20! It was loud, but that's what you should expect from a Waffle House! THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! Why 3 stars? The restroom...trash and it smells so don't sit by the restrooms! By the way, attitude stinks...I overheard another waitress give attitude to (I am guessing) her manager. The manager had told the waitress that her table just got sat down and the waitress responded (with attitude) that the girl covering the cash register can't multi-task.. customers hear everything!! Oh and if you sit at the bar area, make sure your food or drinks aren't by the edge because they wash dishes right in front of you and just throw them in there, so water splashes everywhere. I had never been to a Waffle House before. I'm from SoCal and we don't have them here. While on a theme park trip my boyfriend and our best friend decided that I needed to have a WH experience in my life. There were A LOT of people, the place was jam packed. We were immediately greeted by a young man named Riley. He was fantastic and made sure everyone knew that he was doing his best to get everyone seated as quickly as possible. I can tell he's a hard worker. Our server Lisa was lovely and had our drinks over to us so quickly. Our food didn't take long to arrive at all. My hashbrowns were perfect and my pecan waffle was delicious. After this I'm so bummed we don't have them here! read more

Waffle House... there are so many of you, and you always seem to be really close to a Walmart. Is this a coincidence? Pretty much everyone in America has been to a Waffle House sometime in their life. It's just one of those iconic chain restaurants that you're bound to experience, and you'll probably find yourself there more than once. Why? Because Waffle House is consistent. It's always available to you. It's always open, there are always waffles, always hash-browns, always bacon, always toast. They have a large and cheap menu, and the restaurant's sugary, syrup-y aroma mixed with cigarette smoke makes you so hungry! Back in the day when I ate waffles, I was always a fan of the ones here. They're thin and cooked just right with plenty of butter and as much syrup as you'd need. Add chocolate chips or nuts! So delicious. I still come in from time to time and order hash-browns, bacon, and a couple eggs over medium. You gotta get those potatoes smothered, covered, diced, capped, and peppered, y'all! In case you didn't know, that means with onions, cheese, tomato, mushroom, and jalapeno. Yes ma'am. You could also add chili or ham if you want, that's just not my style. You may be in the company of some questionable creatures during the wee hours of the night at Waffle House, and it's not typically the cleanest venue around, but hey. That's part of it's character. It is what it is. What matters is that they're open 24/7 - which means when you're starving and nothing else is open, and you're not in the mood for cooking, and you want something served up fast and cheap - Waffle House is your saving grace. And the food isn't bad either, I'd say it's pretty damn good! Not remarkable, not unique, but damn good. read more

Oh WaHo, how you never fail me but also never surprise me. I've yet to go to a WaHo where there isnt one waitress who acts really snooty compared to the new girl who's still trying to figure out how to translate the orders from Menunese to Cookanese. Yeah, I said it. It's a Saturday evening at around 6pm. There were maybe two other small groups/families there. Our food was decent. You cant beat cheap eggs and toast with a mug of hot chocolate. I'm not sure if this WaHo serves those ginormous waffles that actually say WAFFLE HOUSE on them. Sadness. Also, it's got a pretty small parking lot, which is weird. Most of the ones I've been to can hold about 15-20 cars. This one is lucky if it has 10 spaces around it, and it's next to a Chevron station off of the freeway, which must really hurt the whole parking situation. read more

This place was cute, I truly am a fan. I regret not taking down the name of our server because she was incredibly nice and personable! We visited for breakfast before we went to Six Flags; I ordered eggs, bacon, grits, and toast, while my boyfriend ordered their sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on Texas toast with biscuits and gravy. We also shared a double (2) waffle with chocolate chips. The food came out very fast and was delicious, just your standard American breakfast fare. I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and I thought it was cool that our table was right behind their kitchen line. There were many Waffle Houses that we saw in Texas, but it never gave that artificial IHOP/Denny's feel; majority of stars are for the service itself. Waffle House never fails with breakfast. Good, greasy breakfast. It was served quickly. However time and time again there are issues with service. Namely, after you get your meal, you might never see your server again - even in a small restaurant. We have come when WH is busy and not and the service issue is consistent. We have been to the WH at 20 and (I think) Great Southwest Parkway to find the same good, greasy food but better service. We are going to start going to this WH. read more
