My wife and I live nearby and frequent this Waffle House for a quick, inexpensive breakfast. This Waffle House is practically the platonic ideal of a Waffle House. The staff: awesome. They're nice folks with good attitudes and they're super efficient. Tee, Alana, and Star are our favorites, but we haven't had a bad one. This is probably weird, but I think that Marines (I hope I have her name right) is the best cook at a Waffle House that you could hope for. Everything is just a *little* better when she makes it. Two egg and cheese sandwiches on Texas toast and one waffle. Mrs. Summer ordered the steak hash browns the water came up to write it about $25 with tax. Me being who I am I gave a $5 tip this is a carryout order. First thing why you getting two stars. I was advised that's going to take about 10 minutes and came back in 15 minutes later. Then the waitress advised me the waffle she had made went to one of the employee's. WTF and she was going to make me another one. Now that just added about five more minutes. Okay she gave me my food I didn't even check it I should have checked it. We got back to our hotel room opened it up I got triple hash browns smothered and onions that was done correctly. I got only one bacon and cheese sandwich not done correctly I didn't even order that and I was missing the second sandwich. No butter with the waffle and no ketchup with this order at all. Like I said sometimes you get one shot to make a good impression. This Waffle House had two shots and mucked up both times . Going here was my husband's idea. I am not a huge fan, but when he's in the South he has to hit a waffle house. Most of the servers stood around but the young lady who helped us was great. The three available tables were all cluttered and dirty, which isn't a good sign. Food is food. Nothing special. They don't give you real anything -the butter and the creamer are both imitation.
